5 Resistive touch screen driver installation(typical example) Open the driver CD directory, and then double click windows200 xp file, will see the files as following picture: Double click: Setup.exe file, will appear the following installation interface: 第 5 页共 14 页

6 If installed the driver for USB interface, then no need to select PS2 Touchscreen driver option, if installed RS232 interface driver, then need to select this option. If you confirm this installation, then click Next, if want to back to the last step, then click Back, if want to cancel the installation, then click Cancel. As following picture: Rotating Monitor Utility and Shutdown Utility, Rotating Monitor Utility support rolling-over the display function, Shutdown Utility is to assist powered off function, do not support this option in default settings, select it depend your requirement. 7 Choose right directory route, default directory is: C:\Program Files\Touchkit, also can choose the other directory according to your requirement, if choose the other directory, pls click Browser, if confirm this installation, click Next, if want to back to the last step, click Back, if want to cancel this installation, click Cancel: This step is to set up the name of the program group, if confirm this installation, click Next, if want to back to the last step, click Back, if want to cancel this installation, click Cancel. 8 The program is in installation process, this step do not have back and next function, so suggest to exit the other program when installation this driver, avoid the conflict caused by this installation driver. As following picture: Under windows 2000, then do not have the following tips, when under windowsxp, will jump out the following dialogue, select Still Continue. 10 After installation finished, you can see the following icon in the desktop and program, as following picture: After installation, click the icon Touchkit on the desktop, will pop out the following program window, main item including: Normal Settings Screen Position About and so on. In Normal item: Add function: can choose to add the installed touch screen driver, also can remove the unnecessary interface; Language option function: in the language system, can choose the different display method according to your language, after this option selected, click ok, can not reflect it instantly until you close the program and open it again; Click calibration function: initial installed 4 wire resistive touch screen, can not positioned correct right away, need to position the screen position again via the four points; Drawing to see the function: test the touch screen integrity series. 11 Setting function option, in sound settings, can set up the sound frequency,length and sounding way according to touch screen situation. Mouse mode setting, can set mouse button, visible, mouse mode function, double click speed, can be setted according to user s customs. If touch screen applied to the public environment, then need to set wide double click area convenient for the people use. Double click area, different user with different size finger, response accuracy will be different. So need to set the double click area according to different user. 13 Solutions for resistive touch screen common problem 1 No reaction for the resistive touch screen 1 Check the touch screen cable connection, to see if the cable connected from the host USB interface; 2The interface chosen during driver installation is not corresponding to the touch screen actual connect serial interface; 3The touch screen driver is not installed correctly, pls reinstall the driver; 4There is device in the host conflicted with the serial interface resource, pls check every hardware device and adjust it. 5If the touch screen has been used for a long time(3-4years), it is possible that the touch screen is broken, pls change the touch screen. 2 Resistive touch screen can not be touched exactly, pls run the touch screen calibration program to do calibration again, after host changed or the display resolution adjusted, also 第 13 页共 14 页

14 must run the touch screen calibration program. 3 The mouse cursor is at one point of four side for the monitor. The touch area of the resistive touch screen is pressed by the monitor housing or equipment cabinet, this equal to one point is touched all time. Pls adjust the distance between display screen and equipment cabinet, or loosen the display housing screw a little. 4 Mouse cursor direction is in the opposite of the finger touch direction. This is the touch screen control box and touch screen cable connected in the opposite way, pls adjust it.
