Designed for smaller GHS labels, the Plexo! 453 is also used as an advanced alternative to a single color barcode label printer. By printing labels in two colors, you can add a vivid color logo, color graphic, or color code to your label in addition to barcodes, pricing, nutrition facts, ingredients, and other text all in the same quick, in-house label printing process. While text is typically black and graphics are typically colored, you can print both in any single color you choose, using a roll of colored thermal transfer ribbon. The Plexo! body is made of industrial-grade die-cast aluminum which supports the weight and force of the heavy supply rolls when printing labels at high speeds. Its built-in Ribbon Saver mechanism conserves the use of thermal transfer ribbon, benefitting those who use a second ribbon color on just one portion of their label by lifting the printhead so that valuable ribbon isn t wasted when the color isn t needed. You can also print labels from a Plexo! printer without using a computer. First, download your label formats to the on-board memory or Compact Flash card. Then send print jobs using options from the front panel. If you d like to input text or numbers for prompted fields, you can do this by connecting an external keyboard to one of the available USB Master ports on your Plexo!. (You can also connect an external barcode scanner to your Plexo!) System Integration Ready Wireless and Ethernet.
