1 Passive Distribution Compact Power Passing Passives Description 9 different types make it possible to fulfill all kinds of needs, each type unsurpassed in its field. A maximum of flexibility is reached with the Plug-in Housing type equipped with a socket for plug-in units. All types have built-in power inserters, with a remarkable 15 A AC insertion current. With 10 A AC power passing the splitter will no longer be the limiting factor in powering the cable network. Low insertion loss, ultra-linearity, and remarkable return loss specifications guarantee system transmission with perfect frequency response. All splitters are equipped with special fuse holders, which permit a quick survey of the splitter's current path and offer parking facilities for not-used fuses. Extremely effective screening ensures immunity against any kind of external disturbances in the cable network signals so that perfect reception without any distortion is secured. Sturdy die-cast aluminium housing provides a very high mechanical stability and furthermore secures an effective screening. 5 Applications with Plug-in Housing The plug-in housing makes it possible to utilize standard plug-in units in networks where AC-current has to be looped through too. Together with a plug-in module the is typically used as power inserter, splitter, tap, or even diplex filter for splitting or combining the forward and reverse path. The frequency range of the plug-in husing is MHz but the plug-ins determines the actual frequency range.
