7 About This Manual This manual describes the main functions, wiring, installation, use and operation of the ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T camera. This manual is applicable to ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T. Before using this manual, please make sure the model is correct. This manual may contain technically incorrect items or printing or typing errors, and the content is subject to change without notice. 9 Chapter 1 Product Overview This chapter introduces models, main functions, specifications and networking diagrams of the ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T camera. Introduction Supported with both H.264 and MJPEG standards, the ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T camera not only features superior Full HD resolution for real-time streaming at 25/30 fps, but also supplies D1 720p real-time streaming. With a more advanced computing power, the IP camera could provide more flexibility for users and system managers. 13 Chapter 1 Product Overview Micro SD Card Slot/Reset Button Follow the steps below to disassemble the IP camera and refer to the locations of Micro SD card slot, Reset button, and Factory Default button on the camera. 15 Chapter 2 Camera Cabling Please follow the instructions below to complete IP camera connection. Connect Power Please refer to Section: Connectors. Alternatively, connect the Ethernet cable to the camera's PoE port and plug the other end of the cable into a PoE switch for power supply. Note: To use PoE, make sure that the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) is in use on the network. The PoE power supply can be used only when the heater is turned off. Connect Ethernet Cable Using a CAT-5 Ethernet cable for network connection is recommended. For optimum transmission quality, cable length should not exceed 100 meters ( feet). Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 connector of the IP camera, and the other end of the cable to the network switch or a PC. Note: You may need to use an Ethernet crossover cable when connecting the IP camera directly to a PC. Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV 7

16 ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T User Manual Check the status of the link indicator and activity indicator LEDs; if the LEDs are not lit, please check the LAN connection. The Green Link Light indicates good network connection. The Orange Activity Light flashes to indicate network activity. Connect Alarm I/O The camera is equipped with one alarm input and one relay output for alarm application. Please refer to the label on the alarm terminal block and connect the alarm wiring accordingly. 8 Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV

17 Chapter 3 Installation Please read instructions provided in this chapter thoroughly before installing the IP dome camera. Ceiling/Wall Mounting The ZNNC MP-I252W-0F-NC9T camera can be installed directly on a wall or ceiling with the integrated 2-axis adjustable Bracket Mount. Please note that the wall or ceiling must be strong enough to support the IP camera. Follow the steps below to install the IP camera: 1. Unpack the IP camera package and take out the camera; 2. Connect the power, Ethernet, alarm, and audio wires from the ceiling or wall to corresponding connectors of the camera's All-in-one Cable. Refer to Section: Connectors for details. 3. Fix the IP camera's bracket on the ceiling/wall with supplied self tapping screws, as shown in Figure 3. Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV 9

Use the supplied Inner Hex Wrench and cross screwdriver to loosen the hex bolt/screw on the side of the Bracket Mount and the Camera Housing to adjust the angle of view for the IP camera, as shown in Figure 4. Access the Camera Browser-viewer for viewing images. Please refer to Section: Access Camera for further details. 4. Adjust the Zoom/Focus to set the desired zoom/focal length. 5. Put the Front Housing back, and make sure that it is well fit with the Camera Housing, and tighten the screw. Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV 11

21 Chapter 4 System Requirements To operate the IP camera via a web browser, please make sure that your PC is connected to the network, and meets system requirements as described below. 23 Chapter 5 Access the Camera For initial access to the IP camera, users can search for the camera using the installer program: DeviceSearch.exe, which can be found in the DeviceSearch folder on the supplied CD. Installing "Device Search" 1. Double click Device Search.exe and click the Device Search button in the window. 2. The security alert window will pop up. Click on Unblock to continue. Device Search 1. Click Device Search again. All the IP devices found will be listed on the page. The IP camera's default IP address is: Double click or right click and select Browse to access the camera directly via the web browser. Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV 15

The default login ID and password for the Administrator are: Login ID: admin Password: Note: ID and password are case sensitive. It is strongly advised that the administrator's password be altered for security concerns. Refer to Full HD Multiple Streams IP Camera Menu Tree for further details. Additionally, users can change the IP camera's network property, either DHCP or Static IP, directly in the found device list. Users can directly change an IP camera's network property, for example, from static IP to DHCP. The way to change the IP camera's network property is specified below: 1. In the found device list, click on the IP camera whose network property you want to change. On the selected item, right click and select Network Setup. Record the IP camera's MAC address for future identification. 2. The Network Setup page will appear. Select "DHCP" and then click the Apply button. 16 Confidential and Proprietary Information of ZNV

25 Chapter 5 Access the Camera 3. Click on OK in the pop-up window. Wait for one minute to search again for the IP camera. 4. Click on the Device Search button to search for devices. Then select the IP camera with the correct MAC address which was previously recorded. Double click on the IP camera, and the login window will appear. 5. Enter User name and Password to access the IP camera. Installing DC Viewer Software Online For the initial access to the IP camera, a client program, DC Viewer, will be automatically installed to your PC when the PC is connected to the IP camera. If the Web browser does not allow DC Viewer to be installed, check the Internet security settings or ActiveX controls and plug-ins settings (refer to Section: Setup Internet Security) to continue the process. The Information Bar (just below the URL bar) may appear and ask for permission to install the ActiveX Control for displaying video in the browser. Right click on the Information Bar and select Install ActiveX Control to allow the installation. The download procedure for DC Viewer software is specified as follows: 1. In the DC Viewer installation window, click Next. 2. The status bar will show the installation progress. 3. Click Finish to exit the installation process and close the DC Viewer installation page. Adjust zoom and focus as necessary to produce a clear image. Note: Please refer to Full HD Multiple Streams IP Camera Menu Tree for more button function detail. 29 Chapter 6 Set up Video Resolution Users can set up Video Resolution on the Video Format page of the user friendly browser-based configuration interface. 41 Chapter 7 Configuration Files Export/Import To export/import configuration files, users can access the Maintenance page on the browser-based configuration interface. The Maintenance setting can be found at System> Maintenance. Users can export configuration files to a specified location and retrieve data by uploading an existing configuration file to the IP camera. It is especially convenient for assigning the same configuration to multiple cameras. Export Users can save the system settings by exporting the configuration file (.bin) to a specified location for future use. Click the Export button, and the popup File Download window will appear. Click Save and specify a desired location. Upload To copy an existing configuration file to the IP camera, click Browse to select the configuration file, and then click the Upload button for uploading. 47 Appendix B Delete the DC Viewer For users who have installed the DC Viewer on the PC previously, please first remove the existing DC Viewer from the PC before accessing the IP camera. B.1 Deleting the DC Viewer Click Start > Settings > Control Panel, and then double click Add or Remove Programs to open the Currently Installed Programs list. Select DCViewer and click the Remove button to uninstall the existing DC Viewer. B.2 Deleting Temporary Internet Files To improve browser performance, it is suggested to clean up all the files in the Temporary Internet Files directory. 1. Click the Tools tab on the menu bar and select Internet Options. 2. Click the Delete button in the Browsing history section. 49 Appendix C Set up Internet Security If ActiveX control installation is blocked, please either set Internet security level to default or change ActiveX controls and plug-ins settings. C.1 Internet Security Level: Default 1. Start Internet Explorer (IE). 2. Click the Tools tab on the menu bar and select Internet Options. 3. Click the Security tab, and select Internet zone. 4. At the bottom of the page, click the Default Level button and click OK to confirm the setting. Close the browser window, and restart a new one later to access the IP camera. C.2 Setting ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins 1. First set internet security to the default level as described in the previous section. 2. At the bottom of the page, click the Custom Level button to change ActiveX controls and plug-ins settings. The Security Settings window will pop up.
