Designed to address retailer s immediate, mission critical point of sale operations, the is an elegant POS, a small customer kiosk, and even a great store manager s workstation. But its real power comes with its ability to take everything mobile and thereby enable retailers to utilize the versatility of this hybrid solution in a variety of mobile use cases. While mobility is an important element of, even more powerful is its immediate availability. The mobile unit can be locked and docked right where it can be used in one of several primary, traditional roles. In this way, not only can the mobile unit always be secured, but whenever required for mobile use, no time is lost locating and retrieving a given, special purpose mobile device. This versatile solution helps to consolidate equipment and save both money and time with the touch of a button. The new features a solid base that provides a platform for secure storage, charging, and communications whenever the mobile unit is docked. This base features (4) standard PC USB ports, (2) 12V USB ports, and (1) 24V port, along with an Ethernet port for wired network and LAN communications. Shown below, the mobile unit can be locked and docked with an optional base unit. Used in this way, the mobile unit can be secured right where it is used in any number of primary traditional roles. 4 Optional base unit can be configured with one or several mobile units in order to accommodate a variety of store layouts. The connector is designed for years of use in the rugged retail environment, which includes docking and undocking with any available base throughout the day. In addition to security, the base option provides power and additional communications anytime a mobile unit is docked. The instant it is docked, that mobile unit is automatically recharging, connected to wired Ethernet, and connected with up to seven (7) USB devices.
