Research Questions: 1 Does microcredit actually reach the poor and excluded? In other words, who are the clients of MFIs in France? 2 Products and services are they adapted to the clientele? 3 Micro projects funded are they viable and sustainable? 4 Does obtaining microcredit contribute to improve the socio-economic situation of beneficiaries?

11 Main findings 1 Maintenance or improvement of the situation of the beneficiaries 2 Jobs held are however precarious and incomes are particularly low 3 Great impact among personal beneficiaries compared to professional beneficiaries 4 More positive evolutions reported by men compared to women, especially in case of a professional project 5 Strong satisfaction of beneficiaries vis-a-vis their personal situation, the business creation and the microcredit
