5 Use Serial on the Side with TeraTerm Pro Serial with USB2Serial and VB Serial Virtualization is Difficult, so Punt, and just use Putty or other serial terminal on Windows All target communication between your VB-Linux and Beagle Target will be via Ethernet Point-to-Point Sam Siewert 5

6 Set Up VB Bridged Ethernet for Wired Main VB Ubuntu Connection to Beagle xm will be Bridged Ethernet for your Pointto-Point Laptop to Beagle xm connection straight through cable Sam Siewert 6

7 Setting up Persistent Network Config on Beagle xm Set up Persistent Network Configuration on VB Ubuntu eth1 and on Beagle xm usb0 This is done in /etc/network/interfaces on the Beagle xm as shown Sam Siewert 7

8 Once Your Networking is Complete Test ping to Beagle xm ( ) from VB and ssh l root Use passwd on your Putty serial to set a root password on your target Beagle xm Install the CodeSourcery Tools for ARM on Linux (if cross compiling is needed) Sam Siewert 8

Can Connect to your Target for Download and Execute 3. Can create a New C project and Build with No shared library static linking option (or use VI editor and author and compile on command line and with make files) 4. Can download code for Debug, Release testing, or Profiling 5.
