2 XT:COMMERCE PLUGIN BB ATTRIBUTES (TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS) The xt:commerce Plugin BB Attributes (Technical Specifications) allows to easily and consistently display technical properties such as length, width or depth on your product pages. In combination with the xt:commerce Plugin BB Product Filter you can even create filter options based on the technical attributes. This way, your customers will easily and quickly find the right product. Create with the plugin xt:commerce BB Attributes (Technical Specifications) the properties, that are important for your products and customers. Thus, attributes such as length, width or height are sorted in attribute groups (e.g. dimensions) for an even clearer layout of the store backend and frontend. To facilitate the data entry and to avoid typing errors, when creating attributes you need to define right away, in which format the attribute values are supposed to be registered. You can allow the entry of integers, decimals, dates or free text. You can also set whether or not a product can take multiple values of a given attribute. For the color characteristic, this feature is helpful, for example, if you offer your product in several colors. However, for instance with weight, it often makes more sense to allow only one attribute value per product. The license of the xt:commerce Plugin BB Attributes (Technical Specification) can be used both for multiple domains as well as a local development server, reached via localhost. Please note: In order to offer your just created attributes as filter options in the shop-frontend, the xt:commerce Plugin BB Product Filter must be installed and configured in your shop.

3 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Transmitting the plugin files 1 Unpack the archive bb_attributes.zip, which you received by mail. Now you have the plugin directory /bb_attributes/. 2 This directory must be copied to the server of your store, into the directory /plugins/. 3 Connect with an FTP program (FileZilla) with your store (server: 4 On your PC, navigate to the directory of the plugin ( see 1). 5 On the server, navigate to the directory /plugins/ of the shop. 6 Copy the directory /bb_attributes/ from your local machine to the server into the directory /plugins/. 7 Copy the license file bb_attributes.txt, which you should have received by mail as well into the directory /lic/ on your server. 8 The plugin is now available in the shop backend. Activate the plugin in the backend 1 Log in to the shop backend ( 2 Select from the main menu Plugins uninstalled plugins (xt:commerce 4.2 or later) or Content Plugin uninstalled plugins (older shop versions). 3 Find in the list, BB Attributes (Specifications) ( module class: products).

4 4 Click on the green installation icon and install the plugin. 5 From the main menu select Plugins plugins installed (xt:commerce 4.2 or later) resp. content plugin plugins installed (older store versions). 6 In the list, double-click the entry BB Attributes (Specifications) to make basic settings. 7 Activate the plugin by marking the check box Plugin status. 8 In the main menu, you will now find a new menu item BB Attributes (Specifications). 9 The plugin is now successfully installed.

5 REPRESENTATION OF THE PLUGIN IN THE SHOP TEMPLATE 1 To view the specifications of an article on the detail page, the following hook must be added: /templates/[ihr TEMPLATE]/xtCore/pages/product/product.html {hook key=bb_attributes_template} 2 To view the technical data for an article in Product Listing, the following hook must be added: /templates/[ihr TEMPLATE]/xtCore/pages/product_listing/ product_listing_v1.html. {hook key=bb_attributes_template pid=123}

6 CONFIGURATION OF THE PLUGIN Creating groups 1 Navigate in the menu to Shop Product Attributes Groups. 2 Click "New" to create a new group. 3 Enter the desired name, order, set the status and save your entry. 4 Via the Edit Button, you can change the name of your group in the required language versions beneath.

7 Creating Attributes 1 Navigate in the menu to Shop Product Attributes Attribute. 2 Click "New" to create a new group. 3 Enter the desired name, prefix, suffix, select the attributes group and kind, set the status and save your entry. Additionally, you can determine whether the attribute can have multiple values assigned. 4 Additional you may want to enter the translation.

8 Assign attributes to an item 1 Navigate in the menu to Shop Product click the button for the assignment of the attributes. 2 Click "New" to assign the item attribute. 3 Enter the value for the desired attribute, here you might as well make the translation, then save your entry. 4 After you created all the attributes, you will get an overview of your entries.
