4 New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 In Unifier 10.0, the three base products -- Primavera Project Delivery Management, Primavera Cost Controls, and Primavera Capital Planning -- are consolidated into one application: Primavera Unifier Project Controls. New features in Unifier 10.0 include: Updated tabbed navigation New color scheme Enhanced charts and user interface Cash flow enhancements Unifier Mobile enhancements OIM integration for bidders New supported platforms and technologies 1

5 Page Layout and Color Page Layout and Color Unifier 10.0 provides a new page layout and color scheme: Login information next to the Oracle Primavera Unifier logo displays the last login date and time. Full name of the logged-in user displays at the upper right corner of the page. At the upper right corner of the page, Username, Help and Sign Out have replaced Bookmarks, Preferences, Support, and Logout links. Configure user preferences from the username list. There is no change in the Preferences window. Use quick links in the username list to change password (on-premises clients only) or proxy login without accessing the functions in the Preferences window. Use quick links in the Help list to quickly access support contact information or download plug-ins. Note: You can no longer upload a customer logo above the Navigation bar. 2

Tabs Bar Tabs Bar Use tabs in Unifier 10.0 to navigate to frequently used locations: Home, Company Workspace, individual projects, programs, and single- or multiple-instance shells.

7 Tabs Bar Tabs Bar Use tabs in Unifier 10.0 to navigate to frequently used locations: Home, Company Workspace, individual projects, programs, and single- or multiple-instance shells. In earlier Unifier versions, tabs represented Home, Company Workspace, projects (used to access standard projects or programs), and single-instance shells. Only company administrators could configure the display and sequence of tabs, and the number of tabs displayed was limited to six -- including the Home tab, which could not be moved or hidden. The new tabs model allows you to use unlimited tabs, add new tabs, re-order or close existing tabs (at least one tab must be displayed.) Multiple tabs can represent the same location, enabling you to quickly navigate in different areas within the location. When tabs no longer fit on the page, Unifier provides scrolling and a dropdown list that displays all tabs. Tab state is retained when switching tabs or on next login. For example, if you were working in the User Mode in one tab, you will be returned to the same mode. If you were working in Schedule Manager, you will be returned to the same location. Benefit: Use tabs to access frequently used locations quickly and easily. Location: Login to Unifier 10.0 and use the Tabs bar to add, re-order or close tabs. 4

8 Navigation Bar New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 Navigation Bar Unifier 10.0 provides an enhanced navigation bar, which includes bookmarks, navigation field and breadcrumbs. Bookmarks: Depicted by a star-shaped icon, Bookmarks provides access to the current bookmarks functionality. Navigation field: When you click in the navigation field or add a tab, two sections display: Recent Locations: Shows the last five or 10 locations you visited. For shells, the path also is displayed. Click Show 10 or Show 5 to control the number of items listed. Key Locations: Include Home, Company Workspace, Projects, Program, and single-instance shells. When you begin typing in the navigation field, Unifier displays a global auto-suggestion list of locations that match the input query. Matched Locations replaces Recent Locations. Breadcrumbs: Represent the path to the current location and always include Home and current location. Breadcrumbs provide options for quick access to hierarchy levels: Click on a breadcrumb name. Click the dropdown arrow following a breadcrumb to reveal the direct children or sub-shells of that location. Click the Home icon to go to the Home landing page; click its dropdown arrow to display key locations. The Navigator is enhanced: New color scheme and icons associated with modules. Mode switch: Located at the bottom of the Navigator, click or drag to switch between User Mode and Administration Mode in a tab. Expand All / Collapse All buttons: Located at the bottom of the Navigator, use the buttons expand/collapse all nodes in the Navigator. 5

9 Benefit: Provide alternate ways to navigate to frequently used locations. Location: Use bookmarks, recent, matched or key locations in the Navigation bar or the Home list to navigate to frequently used locations. 6

10 Graphical Interface Enhancements New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 Graphical Interface Enhancements In Unifier release 10.0, charts, grids and other graphical interface used for data visualization have been enhanced by using cross-browser-compatible standard APIs such as SVG, HTML CSS and Javascripts. Applets, such as Intermediate and Advanced File Transfer Applications have been upgraded to comply with JRE 1.7 update 51. In addition to JRE compliance, AutoVue Drawing now supports AutoVue release Cash Flow in Cost Manager Earned Value in Cost Manager Stack Plans in Space Manager Shell and Summary Dashboards Reference Graphs and workflow diagrams in business processes Resource Dashboard in Resource Manager Schedule sheets Cash Flow Cash Flow charts have been enhanced to support dual axes. Currently, the graph section in cash flow curves is a combination of both incremental and cumulative views. Prior to this release, both these graphs were plotted against the same Y-axis. In order to display a wide range of amounts, they are now plotted on separate Y-axes. Distribution profiles and grids have also been revamped in Cash Flow. 7

11 Earned Value Release Note Earlier Unifier versions provided Cash Flow (Basic) and an advanced Cash Flow module (from release 9.9.1). Starting with Unifier release 10.0, the system will no longer support the legacy Cash Flow (Basic) module. Since the Cost Sheet option for BCWS derived data from Cash Flow (Basic), removing the functionality makes this option obsolete in the Unifier The option will remain on EV Properties, General tab but will fail to select a budget curve in the Settings tab of BCWS Properties. This issue will be resolved in the near future. Note that the Schedule Manager option for BCWS continues to be supported in Unifier Benefits Charts and other graphical interfaces will display consistently across web browsers. Cash Flow: The display of incremental values was constrained by the use of only one Y-axis for both incremental and cumulative curves. The enhancement has vastly improved the visibility of incremental bars, especially when there are small changes in large data amount. Use the enhanced View Finder below the chart to zoom and display graphs in selected timeframes. View resultant change in axes data. Schedule sheets : Several pop-up boxes have been replaced with mouse-over boxes reducing the number of clicks, for example -- column headers, Find, and menu options such as Save as Snapshot and Copy Column Data. Location Cash Flow: In a project, navigate to Cost Manager, Cash Flow. Select a worksheet and click Open. Earned Value: In a project, navigate to Cost Manager, Earned Value. Select a worksheet and click Open. Stack Plans: Navigate to Space Manager, Stack Plans. Open a stack plan in the log. Shell Dashboards: In a shell tab, select the shell name in the Navigator to view its dashboard. If there are multiple dashboards, select from the View Dashboard list. Each dashboard may have multiple tabs. Click each tab to view the shell information. Reference Graphs: Open a business process record that has reference processes. In the View list, select References. Resource Dashboard: Navigate to Resource Manager in the User Mode of Company Workspace or a project. In the Navigator's Resource Manager node, select Resource Dashboard. Schedule sheets: Navigate to a project's Schedule Manager and open any schedule sheet. 8

12 Cash Flow Enhancements Cash Flow Enhancements The following cash flow enhancements are included in Unifier 10.0: New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 Cash flow filter from schedule sheets In Unifier 10.0, cash flow curves display data for the filtered list of WBS codes in forecast and baseline curves. The feature is activated when the distribution option is set to Use Data from Schedule Sheet in WBS-level Detail Curves. Prior to release 10.0, WBS filters were ignored for baseline and forecast curves. Instead, results were returned for all WBS codes. This enhancement enables customers to see the forecast for a subset of WBS codes that may represent a part of the project scope, work package, etc. Cash flow dates from schedule sheets In Unifier 10.0, WBS or Summary WBS level cash flow curves display the start and finish dates for each WBS code based on its activities in baseline, forecast and custom curves. If a WBS code is associated with multiple activities, it displays the earliest start date and latest end date across these activities. Prior to release 10.0, cash flow curves displayed the earliest start date and the latest finish date across all WBS codes in the schedule sheet. Dates per WBS code were ignored. Unifier 10.0 also allows the selection of any active schedule sheet other than the Master Schedule Sheet. There is a corresponding UI change in the Schedule section of the baseline/forecast curve definition window. This enhancement enables customers to view forecast dates and cost distribution at a more granular WBS code level. Other areas of impact: -- Project cash flow templates: If a cash flow template has schedule sheet dates and the schedule sheet exists in the project, then cash flow curves can be created or updated in the project using cash flow templates. -- Project templates: When a project is created using a project template, and the project template has schedule sheet and cash flow options selected, and the cash flow template has schedule sheet data, then upon successful creation, the cash flow curve will display the schedule sheet name and dates as per the template. 9

13 Cash flow forecast enhancements In Unifier 10.0, the system updates both From Date and To Date if they occur earlier than the spends date in WBS, Summary WBS, or Commitment detail levels in which the forecast curve is set to start at the end of a spends-type curve. This applies to the WBS code being charged as well as other codes that share the same From Date. Prior to Unifier 10.0, the system automatically populated all WBS items with a new From Date if they had a From Date earlier than the spends date. To Date was not updated. Validation would fail and alerts were displayed when any WBS code had a From Date and To Date that were earlier than the spends date. This enhancement is especially useful when studying forecast for each project phase. If costs are incurred against WBS codes associated with a past project phase, date validation will pass since both From Date and To Date are changed accordingly. Summary curve and exchange rates Consider a Unifier 10.0 company that uses multiple currencies. Following are examples in a project, where the summary curve is drawn including at least one curve at the Commitment level. The other curves are at levels -- such as, Project, WBS, and/or Summary WBS. 1. Transaction currency is different from the project currency in the Commitment level curve: The summary curve uses the exchange rate to convert transaction currency to project currency and displays the summary curve in project currency. If the exchange rate is not defined or is 0, then the summary curve will display the value as 0 for the period before exchange rate is defined. 2. Transaction currency is the same as project currency in the Commitment level curve (or if the company uses just one currency): The summary curve does not need to use the use the exchange rate for conversion and displays the appropriate values. Location: In a project, navigate to Cost Manager, Cash Flow. 10

14 Attach Photos to BP Record in Unifier Mobile New Features in Primavera Unifier 10.0 Attach Photos to BP Records in Unifier Mobile Unifier 10.0 provides the ability to upload photos from a hand-held device into a business process record (upper form only) in Unifier Mobile Web version. A new section, Attachments, available at the end of the business process record, enables the functionality. Parenthesis at the end of Attachments displays the number of attachments, including JPEG and non-jpeg attachments. In Edit Mode, click Add Attachments to attach photos to the record. Note: Unifier Mobile does not support adding other forms of attachments. Click Add Attachments to display the photos directory / camera roll in the mobile device. Then, in the photo feature of the mobile device, do the following: Take a new photo or choose from existing photos available in Camera Roll (or the corresponding directory) in your mobile device. On selecting a photo, Cancel is replaced with Done. Click Cancel to exit without attaching uploaded photo. Click Done to attach selected photo to business process record, and exit Photos / Camera Roll screen to return to Unifier screen. Note: Attach photos one at a time. You cannot attach non-jpeg files to a record using Unifier Mobile. Also, you cannot remove attachments in the mobile interface. Uploaded photos are saved in the Unifier server. Attachments counter is updated and the number displayed within parenthesis. Image thumbnails appear in front of file names that are displayed as hyperlinks. Note that when you navigate to another area -- click Refresh, add a line item or send the record to the next step, thumbnails are no longer displayed. Click file name hyperlink to display full image. Click the browser Back arrow to close the image and return to the Unifier page. Click Add Attachment to add more photos. This can be a new photo or an existing one in the photo directory of the mobile device. The Attachments counter represents both JPEG and non-jpeg attachments. Existing non-jpeg attachments are listed below JPEG attachments, and grouped according to file type (for example,.docx or.txt). Note: Unifier 10.0 does not support opening non-jpeg attachments in Unifier mobile. In non-workflow business processes, save the record at least once to enable the Add Attachments button and upload attachments. In general, all business processes that are enabled for mobile will support photo attachments. The following lists supported types, along with exceptions, at company and project/shell levels: Cost-type (Exceptions: Lease BP and Reservation BP) Line item-type (Exceptions: Preventive Maintenance BPs) Simple-type 11

16 OIM Integration for Bidders OIM Integration for Bidders Oracle Identity Manager is an enterprise identity management system that centrally administers user accounts and access privileges. Starting in Unifier 10.0, in OIM-integrated Unifier companies, OIM must also authenticate vendors who are bidding for a contract. Prerequisite: Set up OIM for bidder integration. During bid invitation (or when sending a password to existing bidders), Unifier creates the bidders in OIM. These may be new bidders or those already existing in Unifier. Note that unlike Unifier users, administrators cannot provision bidders from OIM to Unifier. They cannot update, disable or enable bidders in Unifier through OIM. Like Unifier users in an OIM-integrated environment, bidders can no longer change their passwords from the secure Unifier interface. However, they can do so from the OIM server, if provided with the OIM URL. 13
