4 TEAMRAISER INTRODUCTION SITEMAP Below is the approved sitemap for the Bike MS 2016 Blueprint, which will also serve as a model for the next Walk/Challenge Walk MS events. The diagram below is a draft of the site map that illustrates national, event, chapter-only, and blended national and event content by color. Pages in RED are LOCKED pages and cannot be changes. Pages that are YELLOW are locked with a Reusable, which means Society Content cannot be change, but you can add/change content where the Reusable exists. Pages in GREEN are unlocked. This page is important later in the user guide when adding Custom Pages and Unique Local Content to the TeamRaiser. RESPONSIVE DESIGN (NEW!) The design will be coded to adapt responsively and scale fluidly in proportion to any device width.

5 SIGNED IN FEATURE (NEW!) Sign In: will expand to reveal username and password fields, with further expansion to reveal forgot username / password instructions. On click of "Forgot Username or Password", prompts for address and forgot password instructions. If the user has logged in: o o o If they are registered only for one active event, from the event page they registered for, they are taken directly to the Participant Center. If they are registered for more than one event, they will be taken to the event list page to choose their Participant Center. If they log in from a non-event page, they remain on that page and can choose My Events to go to the Participant Center. If the user is not registered for any events, the user remains on the same page so they can decide what they want to do once logged in.

6 BLUEPRINT WORKFLOW The Blueprint feature is designed to help make maintaining multiple events manageable and consistent, enabling Administrators to make changes at the Blueprint level and push those changes down to multiple TeamRaisers.

7 DEFINITIONS Blueprint - Also referred to as the Parent Event, is the Society-wide provided Master template for Chapter Blueprints. Chapter Blueprints are copied from the Master. TeamRaiser - Also known as the Child Event, is the local event at the chapter and is copied from the Chapter Blueprints. Luminate Online Web-based application that hosts the TeamRaiser s event. SiteMap A graphic depiction of pages within a website, illustrating the organization and hierarchy of pages. Each box represents a page. Unique Event [Local] Content Locally edited version of Society content. Society Content Content that is provided and is consistent across all chapters, events, and TeamRaisers. Locked Pages Society content for all events and is not unique event content Reusable Locally created [chapters must write this specific information] content that is placed within a Locked Page. Locked Pages with Reusable Society content for all events with sections of unique event content. Unlocked Pages Society content which may be used and/or editable to communicate unique event content. - A critical or important note EVENT NAMING CONVENTION Each year, the National MS Society hosts nearly 800 events to raise funds to support our mission to create a world free of MS. Each year, a TeamRaiser is built for each of those events in the Luminate Online environment. So in a matter of only a few years, there are literally thousands of events from which to search when reporting. Reporting on these events year over year is an important aspect of continually improving our fundraising results from our events. This reporting becomes significantly more difficult when trying to search for events that do not have consistent naming within the thousands of events within Luminate Online. This year a cohesive naming convention is in place for all TeamRaisers to simplify reporting, searching and finding events within Luminate. There are two different names for each TeamRaiser within Luminate: Administrative Name: This is for internal, search purposes. This name is only visible from within the Administrative side of Luminate Online. It is not visible to constituents on the website or web-based event searches on our event landing pages (BikeMS.org, WalkMS.org, etc.) Public Name: This is the name site visitors and participants see and what shows in our Event Searches, including internet search results (Google, Bing, etc.) INTERNAL ADMINISTRATIVE NAME The Administrative Name is created when the TeamRaiser is initially copied from the Blueprint. The Public Name defaults to the same as the Administrative Name, but can be changed during the configuration of the TeamRaiser prior to making the event Public. There are three components that need to be part of the Administrative Name to uniquely identify each TeamRaiser: Chapter identifier Event Year Event Name As part of our Branding Guidelines for our mass market events the Event Type and year should be part of the Public name (ie, 2015 Bike MS: Colorado). The proposal would be for the Administrative name to build off of this in the following way to create a consistent naming convention across years, across events, across locations:

8 Chapter Code Event Name following Brand Guidelines for events names: Year / EventName Administrative Names reading like the following: COC 2016 Bike MS: Colorado COC 2016 Bike MS: Wyoming ALC 2015 Bike MS: Ride to the Rocket AZA 2015 Walk MS: East Valley AZA 2015 Walk MS: Prescott DCW 2015 Challenge Walk MS: Chesapeake Challenge EXTERNAL PUBLIC NAME The Public Name will follow the same basic format as the Administrative Name. The Chapter code should be removed from the beginning of the name. The year will follow the event name. And if needed, any sponsor naming added to the end of the name. Bike MS: Ride to the Rocket 2015 Walk MS: East Valley 2015 Walk MS: Prescott 2015, presented locally by ABC Company PARTICIPATION TYPES (Reminder) In the 2016 Blueprint, we are utilizing Participation Types in a different manner. We know that the more complex the registration process is, the more likely a potential registrant will abandon registration before it s completed. In addition to the standard 3 participation types built-in to the Blueprint (Cyclist, Virtual Cyclist, Volunteer), we ve added two additional generic participation types that can be used in creating your TeamRaiser. These two additional types can be configured as needed to segment riders and gather needed business information and additional fees. This addition should accommodate the vast majority of TeamRaiser needs. In an effort to ensure a more consistent experience for our Participants, as well as to simplify the registration process, we are recommending limiting participation types in a TeamRaiser to 5 types. This has been accounted for in our design of the new site, and how it works and flows on all devices, including the mobile experience. Using more than the 5 participation types included in the Blueprint has multiple potential negative ramifications: Increased registration complexity, Design/layout issues on some platforms, as well as potential functionality issues to the TeamRaiser. For those that don t think 5 Participation Types will suffice, we have also turned on Upsell functionality and E-commerce functionality for collection of fees and segmenting participants based on various options within the event. We recommend evaluating alternative options to meet the needs of event staff if this is the case. Consultation is available to explore options and use of upsells and ecommerce for TeamRaisers where there may be a need. Support is found at Blueprint2016@nmss.org.

A few more steps are needed to ensure Unique Local Content is on TeamRaiser, which is the last part to completing 13. Customize Pages. Please continue.

25 2 INTEGRATE (COPY/PASTE TEXT ONLY) AND ADDING PAGEBUILDER REUSABLES Locate all Unique Event Content saved as a Word Document in your local Chapter computer drive. Review the checklist below. Items with a Reusable will be added to the TeamRaiser at this point. Items with an N/A are part of Custom Pages and discussed later in this guide. As a reminder, you are only editing items on the Sitemap (page 4) that are Locked with a Reusable or Unlocked. REUSABLE TYPES: There are two kinds of reusable Pagebuilder pages. RESUSABLE LOGIC 1) The first is event-specific, so you can create a reusable for each event you have (multiple events under one event type) and have the unique content/event apply. 2) The second is chapter-specific and allows you to create content that applies to all of your events. Event-specific reusable is the priority, so if it is published at the same time that a chapter-specific reusable is, for the same page, the event will override the chapter. Chapter-specific reusable appears only if the page is published, and an event-specific reusable has not been created or published. If neither exists, national default content will appear. PAGEBUILDER RESUSABLE NAMING CONVENTION Reusable Pagebuilder pages are located in the zchapter Admin Only security category in the Pagebuiler module. Event: BIKE_AKA_#####_2016_pagename o NOTE: The Pagebuilder reusable must be saved in your chapter event security category (AKA Bike, for example) o ***'#####' = the FR_ID Chapter: BIKE_AKA_2016_pagename o NOTE: The Pagebuilder reusable must be saved in your chapter event security category (AKA Bike, for example) ***To locate the FR_ID, go to the Fundraising > TeamRaiser module, and look up your event. Repeat all steps STEPS 1 & 2, above, to COPY each Reusable from the zchapter Admin Only category.

29 STEP TWO: INTERGRATE UNIQUE CONTENT TO REUSABLES Now that all Reusables are copied, it is time to EDIT each one. Return to PageBuilder and select your Chapter s Event in the security category to continue. Click GO to filter your Pagebuilder Reusables. Go to Actions Column and select Manage to add Unique Local Content.

30 Go to the Actions Column and select Edit Content (NOTE: in the future, it is advised you copy the most recent version to preserve it for future reference). TIP for Formatting Text Click pencil icon to begin. To ensure the formatting (font, size, styling) is the same on your Unique Local Content Word document as the Society Content formatting, copy the content into Notepad (or other plain text editor), then copy from the plain text editor and paste into the Luminate Online text box. This will keep all formatting the same across all content. [See TIP] Use WYSIWYG to add, create, or modify Unique Local Content. Refer to the Unique Local Content created in Word Document and saved to your local drive. Grab the corresponding file that matches the Reusable you are working on. Copy the Unique Local Event into box. Click SAVE during the update process. Click APPLY to close page.
