2 Application Program Description (1 of 2) In Lab 1, you will create the program control blocks required for your program. The database has been built in a previous seminar so it can be used as is. In Lab 2, you will create the control blocks required for scheduling your program. Daily machine lab activity corresponds to the material covered in the lectures. Save all your work till the end of the class. It is recommended that you set RECovery ON when you edit any PDS member.
3 Application Program Description (2 of 2) When you first use any member containing program code, use a global change command to change all occurrences to your team number. for example, nn all (where 'nn' is your team number)

11 Lab TSO User IDs To connect to the Bauman University S0W1 system: 1. Connect 3270 emulator to (port 623) 2. Configure session for 43x80 lines or 24x80 3. Select TSO 4. Logon with an assigned userid and password PW=Userid Lab jobs are in IMSU0xx.JCL
12 Execution Mode Tips Place the cursor at the top of the ISPF panel Press PF2 (splits the ISPF session) Select SD.ST (SDSF Status panel) Use PF9 to toggle between sessions Toggle to SD.ST to see status of the job
13 Lab IMS User Terminals The following are the instructions for logging on to IMS user terminals Once the IMS control region is up (/NRE or /ERE successfully complete): Start a terminal emulator session (if not already started) Select file (top left pull down) Select Run the same Tab to the command line and enter D MVR12SNG Enter IMS Sign in as follows: USERID: IMSU0nn Password: IMSU0nn

15 Lab 1 Description (PSBGEN) (1 of 2) Requirements Add or complete the PSB statements to create the PSB for your PROG00nn program. 1. IO PCB 2. DB PCB STU01FFD 3. PSBNAME should refer to your userid suffix. * These are created within the PSBGEN skeleton. Remember to check them for completeness.
16 Lab 1 Description PSBGEN (2 of 2) Activities: Correct the skeleton PSB in member PSBGEN in your IMSU0xx.JCL dataset. The PSB must use database STU01FFD. Submit the PSBGEN job to ensure your PSB is included in the PSBLIB. A successful PSBGEN is required before proceeding to LAB 2.

19 Lab 2 Description ACBGEN (2 of 2) Activities: Correct the skeleton ACB gen in member ACBGEN in your IMSU0xx.JCL dataset. The ACB must use the PSB you created in LAB1. Submit the ACBGEN job to ensure your ACB is included in the ACBLIB. A successful ACBGEN is required before proceeding to LAB 3.
