Real-time encryption is applied to each document as it is captured, ensuring that no matter where a document originates or how it is transmitted, the contents are completely secure. isopost Client isopost is a Windows printer driver installed on the end users computer. It enables a user to submit documents for central production right from their desktop. Users continue to use Windows applications with which they are familiar, such as Microsoft Word. This means that the user's existing work pattern is not interrupted and hence reduces training requirement and overall deployment costs and complexities. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

The end user continues to use their existing office applications (such as MS Word or SAGE), thereby reducing the organisational impact and training requirements. 3 Installation Installation To install the isopost Client, please follow the instructions below: - Insert the CD into your CD\DVD drive. If the auto run option is enabled, the setup wizard should start automatically. If this option is not enabled, go to My Computer and select the CD\DVD drive. Double click on Setup.exe to launch the setup wizard. If the client was downloaded, please run the setup.exe from the location where the file was downloaded. Any configuration files, such as cloud configuration ('Connection.dat'), licence ( Licence.lic ), branding ('BRANDNAME.branding') or stocks ('stocks.package') should be located in the same folder as the Setup.exe file. 1. 8 Connection.dat Connection.dat When running in cloud configuration mode, the isopost Client uses a settings file to determine how to connect to the central authentication server. This settings file is created by your isopost Provider. The settings file is called "Connection.dat". If present in the same location as the Client Setup.exe, it will automatically be installed. However, if this settings file needs to be changed or updated, it can be found in the isopost Client install folder: "C:\Program Files\Isopyre Limited\isoPost\" The presence of this file will cause the isopost Client to run in cloud configuration mode. 9 Licence Licence When running in offline mode, the isopost Client uses a licence file to control the options that users are presented with. This licence file is created by your isopost Provider. The licence file is called "Licence.lic". If present in the same location as the Client Setup.exe, it will automatically be installed. However, if this licence file needs to be changed or updated, it can be found in the following locations: User Folder Windows 7 - "C:\users\%user%\AppData\Local\Isopyre Limited\isoPost\" Windows XP - "C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Application Data\Isopyre Limited \isopost\" Client Install Folder "C:\Program Files\Isopyre Limited\isoPost\" Licence files found in the User Folder will be used in precedence to the Client Install Folder. 10 Stocks Stocks The isopost Client can optionally install a set of stock resource files for use with the dynamic stationery feature. This stocks resource file is called "stocks.package" and can be provided by your isopost provider or downloaded from the isopost Portal. If the stocks resource file is present in the same location as the isopost Client Setup.exe, it will automatically be extracted into the isopost install folder. 12 Automatic Updates Automatic Updates The automatic updates feature is an installation option which allows the isopost Client to automatically install new versions as they are released. Turning this feature on will install a scheduled task which is run every time a user logs onto their computer. When this task is run, a check will be made to see if the currently installed version is the latest release. If not, the latest version will be silently downloaded and instated, retaining all install options from the original. This check and subsequent download is made to a URL defined in the Connections.dat file. 13 Document Collation Mode Document Collation Mode The Document Collation Mode can be used to aggregate separate windows print requests into a single isopost submission. This is useful when automated systems produce multiple print requests rather than 1 larger "Mail Merge" submission. As documents are submitted to the isopost Client, a window informs you that documents have begun to arrive. When all documents have been submitted, click the "Collate" button to be presented with the standard isopost Client interface. If the documents are intended for separate recipients, it is likely that this feature should be used with the Mail Merge options in isopost. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

Standard document creation tools can continue to be used (such as Microsoft Word). To print to isopost, follow the instructions below (all examples are from Microsoft Word): - 1. When the document has been designed and is ready to print, select print from your application. The example below is from a Microsoft Office application. 2. When the print dialog appears, ensure that the isopost Printer is selected. Select the required page numbers and when happy with the selection click OK. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

The isopost Client preview will be displayed allowing you to choose further options about how the document will be printed as well as mailing options (see Fulfillment Options sections) Some of the options shown below may not be visible, the options available are dependent on your configuration. 18 Address Window Address Window In order for the document to be correctly mailed, the address of the recipient must be within the highlighted area of the document preview: - This is the area of the document that can be viewed through the address window of the envelope. Sometimes there may be a region around the envelope window which must be kept blank for postage reasons. This area will be shown in grey and your document cannot be submitted if anything is present in this area. The isopost Client will read the information contained within the envelope window position and display it at the top right of the preview: - Ensure that the address is correct in this box before submitting the document as this is where the document will be posted to. 20 Exclusion Box Exclusion Box In order for the document to be correctly produced, it is sometimes necessary to add barcodes and sequence numbers to the document. The areas where these items will be printed are shown on the document preview: - Placing document content in these areas can cause issues with print and fulfilment, therefore the isopost Client will not allow you to submit documents which contain text in these areas. 23 Envelope Type Envelope Type This option allows you to select from the available envelope options your isopost provider is offering. Select the appropriate option from the drop down menu on the right hand side of the screen. 25 Duplex Duplex Duplex printing is where a document is printed on both sides of the paper. Selecting 'yes' makes multiple page documents print on both sides of the paper, therefore using less sheets of paper. Selecting 'no' makes multiple page documents print on the front side of the paper only, therefore using more sheets of paper. 26 Custom Options Custom Options In addition to the standard options, your isopost provider may offer further fulfillment options for you to choose from. Select the appropriate option from the drop down menu on the right hand side of the screen. Contact your isopost provider for information regarding each of these additional fields. 27 Mail Merge Mail Merge The Mail Merge feature allows you to submit documents that have been through the Microsoft Word (or equivalent) Mail Merge process. This allows you to submit multiple documents in one go, for example if you are doing a mailshot to multiple addresses. The default behaviour of the isopost Client is to place all pages of your document into a single recipient envelope. With the Mail Merge feature, you can decide to break up your document into multiple envelopes. When you do a Mail Merge in Microsoft Word, the document produced contains all the individual documents one after another. Check the Mail Merge option to turn this feature on. Then select the number of pages in each document. The isopost Client will then break up the overall document into individual documents of the specified number of pages ready for submitting to your isopost Provider. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

28 Variable Page Mail Merge Variable Page Mail Merge The Variable Mail Merge feature allows you to submit documents that have been through the Microsoft Word (or equivalent) Mail Merge process and are of a varying number of pages. The default behaviour of the isopost Client is to place all pages of your document into a single recipient envelope. With the Variable Mail Merge feature, you can decide to break up your document into multiple envelopes. When you do a Mail Merge in Microsoft Word, the document produced contains all the individual documents one after another. Check the Variable Mail Merge option to turn this feature on. You will then be presented with a new toolbar. Using the draw tool, select a region on the page which determines the start/end of the document. Build up the logic statement to control how the pages are treated as documents. The isopost Client will then break up the overall document into individual documents based on your rule ready for submitting to your isopost Provider. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

Printed Attachments Printed Attachments The printed attachments feature allows additional PDF & TIFF documents to be included in the printed document pack.

29 Printed Attachments Printed Attachments The printed attachments feature allows additional PDF & TIFF documents to be included in the printed document pack. This feature works with both individual packs as well as Mail Merge submissions. To add and remove printed attachments associated with the current submission, the user should click the "Printed Attachments" button. Please note that the name of this button may change dependant on your isopost provider. Use the "Add" and "Remove" buttons to browse for PDF & TIFF files to add to the current submission. When complete, click "Close" to see a preview of the complete printed pack. Notes: Each page of the attachments is validated to ensure it does not exceed the page boundaries of the original document, if an oversized page is found the client will attempt to auto-rotate the page; if any page of the attachment is found to exceed the original documents page boundaries then the attachment will not be added and an appropriate error message will be displayed. If attached PDF files are not PDF/A compliant, it is not possible to guarantee the production printed output will match the document preview. Non-PDF/A compliant PDFs may have fonts substituted at production time. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

30 Document Hold Document Hold The document hold feature allows a user to place a document into a hold state when it is submitted. This can be used to facilitate an approval process or simply to delay the processing of the document until a specified date. Check the Hold Enable option to turn this feature on. You can then choose between the following options: Indefinite Hold - This will require someone to release the document via the Web Portal before it can be processed. Hold Until Date - Use the date picker to select when the document should be automatically released. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32

31 Send To Send To If you have a PDF/A file and wish to submit this using the isopost Client, you can use the Windows 'Send to' feature. Simply Right-Click on the file in Windows File Explorer and select the 'Send to' option, within this select the 'isopost' menu item. This will load the selected PDF into the isopost Client, bypassing the need to open it in an application (such as Adobe Reader) and selecting Print. Copyright Isopyre Limited of 32
