5 1. Product Introduction This plate recognition software uses intelligent analytics function to recognize the plate number, plate color and plate belonging countries and etc. Product Introduction 1

6 2. Installation&License Here is to introduce IVS-T7000-R server and client installation and how to get a license. Usually the installation applications include four files. Please note the file name listed here for reference only. DHI-IVS-T7000-R-ENGINE General_DHI-IVS-T7000-R-PRO-IAC_Eng_Base_IS_V T. XXXXXX(Y+M+D) General_IVS-T7000-R_Eng_Base_PS_V R.XXXXXX(Y+M+D) GetSysInfo_ _MD5.exe. 2.1 Engine Installation Please follow the steps listed below. Step 1. Insert the watchdog first. During the whole installation process, please make sure the watchdog is always valid. Step 2. Double click software name such as setup.exe to install. You can go to the En-User license interface. Click I Agree to continue. See Figure 2-5. Figure 2-1 Step 3. Now system pops up the following interface. Check CARMEN Typical box and then click the Next button to continue. See Figure 2-6. 7 Figure 2-2 Step 4. Please follow the prompts to install and then click the Finish button to complete the setup. See Figure 2-7. Figure 2-3 Step 5. If you want to use the customized library, please go to All programs ->CARMEN GX-->Engine Manager (64 bit)-->engine package >Browse to select the corresponding library. Now click Install engines-- >Default engine:change to install the customized library. Please note this step is optional. If you are using the default library. See Figure 2-4. Installation&License 3

8 Figure Server Installation Please follow the steps listed below. Step 1. Double click server software name such as General_DHI-IVS-T7000-R-PRO-IAC_Eng_Base_IS_V T exe to install. You can go to Welcome interface. See Figure 2-5. Figure 2-5 Step 2. Click Next button, you can go to the following interface to input user information. See Figure 2-6. Installation&License 4

11 2.3 Client Installation Please follow the steps listed below: Step 1. Double click client software name such as General_DHI-IVS-T7000-R-PRO-IAC_Eng_Base_IS_V T to install. You can go to Welcome interface. See Figure Figure 2-10 Step 2. Click Next button, you can go to the following interface to select installation folder. See Figure Installation&License 7

Click Finish button to complete the installation. 2.4 License File Before you use the client, please follow the steps listed below to get a license file: Step 1. After you successfully installed the server and the client, please run the GetSysInfo_ _MD5.exe. Step 2. Now you can see a file such as SysInfo_2ce96b6ee71dcf03398ecd bin (The file name here for reference only). Step 3. Please submit this new file to your local retailer or service engineer to get a license file. The returned file is DHLicense_SysInfo_2ce96b6ee71dcf03398ecd bin (The file name here for reference only). Step 4. Refer to chapter 3.1 to login the server and then click General Button. Click License Button, you can see a dialogue box for you to import the license file. See Figure Installation&License 10

15 Figure 2-16 Step 5. Select the license file DHLicense_SysInfo_2ce96b6ee71dcf03398ecd bin and then click Open button. You can see the following dialogue box after successful import operation. See Figure Figure 2-17 Step 6. Now you can see the corresponding channel number amount in the License column. Please refer to Chapter 3.3 for detailed information. See Figure Installation&License 11

Server Operations The IVS-T7000-R server includes four interfaces: Account/General/Setup/Status. 3.1 Login After the successful installation, from Start->All programs-> IVS-T7000-R-PRO, you can open IVS-T9000 ConfigTool. The login interface is shown as below. See Figure 3-1. Note: The default user name is admin and the default password is abc123. For your own safety, please refer to chapter 3.2 to change the default password after you first login. Figure Account After you logged in, the interface is shown as in Figure 3-2. Here you can set new password. Please input a user name and then input old password and new password, click Save button to change the password. Server Operations 13

18 Figure General In Figure 3-2, click General button, you can go to the following interface. See Figure 3-3. License: Here is to import license file you got from your local retailer or service engineer. Please refer to chapter 2.4 for detailed operation information. IP address: The IVS configtool can auto get server IP address. If the server has multiple Ethernet cards, please select corresponding IP address first. You can change server IP if necessary. TCP port: The IVS configtool default server TCP port is You can change server port if necessary. Find all plates: Check the box here, the software can recognize all plate numbers in one image. If you do not check, the software only recognizes one plate number in one image. Sync time with DSS: Check the box, it allows the DSS to sync with the IVS configtool. Time zone: Please change IVS-T9000 time zone according to the actual situation. Click OK to save current setup. Default: Click it to restore default setup. Save: Click it to save current setup. 19 Figure Setup In Figure 3-2, click Setup button, the interface is shown as below. See Figure 3-4. Pic saved path: Click browse to select the path for the system to save the auto snapshot image. Note: For the path you set here is for the system to save auto snapshot image to the HDD of the plate recognition server. Auto maintenance: Check the box here to enable auto maintenance function. Then you can set server reboot time. Time: After you enable auto maintenance function, you can set auto reboot interval and specified reboot time. Min Disk space: It is to set a threshold. If you have enabled overwrite function, once the HDD space is smaller than the threshold, system auto begins overwriting the old file. If the overwrite function is disabled, system stops saving record file or image once the HDD space is smaller than the threshold. Overwrite (cyclic cover): Check the box here, system auto begins overwriting the old files once the HDD space is smaller than the minimum disk space you set here. Server Operations 15

20 Figure Status In Figure 3-2, click Status button first and then click Start service button, you can boot up the service. See Figure 3-5. You can see the prompt such as IVS-T7000-R Server started successfully! Figure 3-5 Server Operations 16

21 If you want to stop service, please click Stop service button. It may take about one minute to stop the service. Please do not implement other operations when system is stopping the service. Server Operations 17

22 4. Client Operations 4.1 Login and Add IVS-T7000 Please follow the steps listed below. Step 1. After you successfully installed the client, double click icon to login first. See Figure 4-1. Note: The default user name is admin and the default password is admin. For your own safety, please refer to chapter to change the default password after you first login. Figure 4-1 Step 2. After you logged in, click Device manager icon and then click Add device, you can add IVS-T7000 device to the client. Please input IP address, port number, user name and password. The user name and password you input here is for you to login the IVS-T7000 device. Click Add to complete the operation. See Figure 4-2. Client Operations 18

23 Figure 4-2 Step 3. After you successfully added the IVS-T7000 device, there are four icons on the Operation column. From left to right, there are: Remote device settings, channel IVS settings, modify device, delete device. See Figure 4-3. Figure Remote Device Settings Please follow the steps listed below. Step 1. In Figure 4-3, click the remote device settings button, here you can set remote device address, port number, user name, password and then click Save button. Please note the user name, password here is for you to login the remote device. See Figure 4-4. Client Operations 19

24 Figure 4-4 Step 2. Select the remote device you just added, click to add it to the right list. See Figure 4-5.If you want to delete a channel on the right list, select it first and then click to delete. Click OK to complete the setup. Client Operations 20

Now the whole installation and settings are complete. 4.3 Account Notice The following operation is for system administrator (admin) or the user of account management authority only. Click, you can go to account interface. Here you can add, modify or delete a user. See Figure 4-6. Client Operations 21

26 Figure Add a User In Figure 4-6, click Add User button, you can go to the following interface. Here you can add a user and set its corresponding authorities. See Figure 4-7. User type: Please select user type from the dropdown list. It includes two types: admin/operator. User name: Input new user name. Password: Input a password. Confirm: Input new password twice to confirm. Memo: Input some note information here for reference. Authorities: Check the box here to select corresponding operation rights for current user. Add: Click it to add current new user. Cancel: Click it to terminate current operation. Client Operations 22

27 Figure Change Password In Figure 4-6, click edit button in Operation column, you can go to the following interface. See Figure 4-8. Here you can change user group, password and etc. Client Operations 23

28 Figure Delete a User Notice You can not delete system default user admin; you can just change its password. In Figure 4-6., click icon after the corresponding user, you can delete it. Or you can select several users first and then click Batch delete to remove at the same time. Client Operations 24

29 5. FAQ 1. 1) For Embedded Windows 7, is there anything I need to know when I uninstall the IVS applications? For embedded Window 7, please uninstall the folder under the installation directory manually after you uninstall the IVS applications. 2) System will auto delete log folder after uninstall the IVS applications? Please manually delete the log folder after you uninstall the IVS applications. 3) Do I need to delete the folder I set to save the image after I uninstall the IVS applications? If you have manually uninstalled the installation folder after you uninstall the IVS applications, please delete the folder you set to save the image. 4) Do I need to use the Watchdog when I use the IVS applications? Insert the Watchdog before you boot up the IVS applications. Applications stop working if you remove the Watchdog when it is running. You need to insert the Watchdog again to run the applications. 5) What is overwrite function? The server auto saves the alarm image while the HDD space is limited. Once the HDD free space is lower than the threshold, the server will auto overwrite the old images. It is so called overwrite. 6) What is max connection? It is the max client amount connected to the server. Once it has reached the threshold, the new client can not access the server. 7) I want to know the bit stream requirement of the applications. The IVS applications support the image stream only. 8) Do the IVS applications support the network camera from other manufactures? Right now the applications support the network camera from Dahua only. 9) The plate pixels requirements if I want to use the plate recognition function. The min plate information pixels. 20 pixels. The max plate information pixels: 50 pixels. Theoretically speaking, the best plate information pixels are 25 pixels. 10) If I want to use the plate recognition function at night, is there anything I need to know? Please use the compensation light. 11) After I changed the IVS server IP address, do I need to reboot the server? Please reboot the server. FAQ 25
