2 Unpacking of the machine Unpacking of the machine For detailed information refer to video clips available on CD-ROM. 1.2 How to enter the SERVICE MODE 1. At power up, the below lead-in screen is displayed on the control panel. At the top of the screen, a time-filling bar scrolls. Then a countdown starts at the bottom of the screen. 2. When key ESC is pressed during the countdown, the machine prompts you to select one of the following options: language, maintenance, servicing mode or supervisor mode. 3. To enter the SERVICE MODE press the selector switches according to this order: S2, S1, S3, S2. S1 S2 S3 For more information about the other modes please refer to the attached Operator s Manual. 3 End of installation check list 1.3 End of installation check list Customize the language (setting menu \ language) Customize the commercial name (service mode) Customize the envelopes format (service mode \ custo. format) When feeder F, enable it Check the envelope inserting position for kind of envelope (service mode \ mechanical test \ motor test \ envelope motor) and if need be, customize corresponding jobs (supervisor menu) Check the envelope moistening position (service mode \ mechanical test \ motor test \ envelope motor) and if need be, customize the corresponding jobs (supervisor menu). Set the Service counter for the preventative maintenance (Service Mode \ Set counters) Set the service telephone number (Service mode \ Set counters) Set the jobs according to the applications (supervisor menu). Adjust the offset between documents of feeders AB and C for each job using these combinations of feeders (supervisor mode). Check the fold skew and if necessary adjust folding-pulse value. Train the user on the machine. Train the user on the cleaning procedures (setting menu \ maintenance) Adjust the jack position (configuration one or two feeders) Release: 07/2001 Revision: 0 G. 5 Transport 1.5 Transport During the transport of the FPi 1000, it is advised to: - Remove the documents from the feeders. - Take the feeders of the machine. - Empty the water tank - When a machine is sent back to the factory, it must be shipped in the guenuine packaging and all the wedges have to be placed in the boxes (including the feeders boxes) otherwise the warranty lapses. Water tank-emptying procedure: - Open the right front door. - Put a small container (spray cover, inker box, ) in front of the water tank, on the door. - Disconnect the water level sensor cable. - Loosen the plastic tie-strap around the water tank. - Make the small plastic collar, which is under the water tank slide along the pipe. - Disconnect the pipe from the water tank and empty the water into the recipient. - Put the water tank back, re-connect the water level sensor cable, re-connect the pipe to the water tank and put back the two plastic tie-straps.
