Supports the OCe14000 family of adapters. 2. Supports VMware ESXi Supports Windows Server 2012 R2. Known Issues 1. The nodeaddump CLI command is not available. Workaround None. 2. By default only live dumps are collected. Workaround To collect dead dumps: For Linux systems, use option "--deaddump" For Windows and VMware systems, choose "full" mode, or select options in the GUI. In the CLI, use the "/type=full" for the "/component" option to choose the necessary items in CLI interface. The dead dump procedure temporarily takes the adapter offline. OCe11102 and OCe14000-series adapters require a reboot. Technical Tips 1. The OneCommand Manager application must be installed before running OneCapture. On VMware platforms, the CIM Provider must also be installed. Refer to the OneCommand Manager application User Manual and the CIM Provider Installation Guide, available on the Emulex website, for installation instructions. OneCapture Release Notes 2

The Linux version supports the command line options below. -h --help Displays a brief guide. --nocrashdump Does not collect the OS crash dump files. --deaddump Collects the dead firmware dump data. --bootfromsan Skips collecting firmware dump files for all HBAs. 3. Windows and VMware systems support TYPEs and COMPONENTs selection. TYPEs: Basic The default selection. Safe Use Safe if you are capturing data on a Boot from SAN system. Full Includes all available captures. Custom User custom picks components to capture in the checkbox list. COMPONENTs: Select detail components. OneCapture Release Notes 3

4 4. Windows and VMware systems support Silent mode (command line) execution. Options for both Windows and VMware: /h Displays Help information. /silent Used for silent mode. /verysilent Does not display the progress window. /dir= x:\dirname Overrides the default directory. /outputfilename "output.zip" Specifies the OneCapture output file name. /type=type name Overrides the default setup type. If the specified type exists and isn't a custom type, then any /COMPONENTS parameter is ignored. Available Types: basic Basic Capture (default capture, "hba\dumpdown" is not included) safe For Boot From SAN, Safe Capture (without an HBA core dump, "hba\dump" and "hba\dumpdown are not included) full Full Capture (Takes down and resets the HBA with a dead core dump. Requires a restart.) custom Custom Capture /COMPONENTS="comma separated list of component names " Overrides the default component settings. Using this command line parameter causes Setup to automatically select a custom type. If no custom type is defined, this parameter is ignored. Only the specified components will be selected; the rest will be deselected. If a component name is prefixed with a "*" character, any child components are selected as well (except for those that include the dontinheritcheck flag). If a component name is prefixed with a "!" character, the component is deselected. This parameter does not change the state of components that include the fixed flag. There are enhanced data collection categories in this release. Windows: Dead Core Dump, MPIO Information, Autopilot Information, Autopilot Report.
