9 Chapter 1. About Installing The Installing section proides a quick reference to the installation process of the IBM Emptoris Suite of products, followed by the detailed process of installation. The installation process includes downloading installation items, completing prerequisites for installation, preparing systems for installation, running the installer, and completing the post-installation configurations. Installation Quick Reference Quick Reference for Installation Disclaimer The Quick Reference for Installation proides a brief understanding of the installation process of the IBM Emptoris products. IBM Emptoris products The following products are proided by IBM Emptoris. Downloading Installation Items You can download the installation items from the Passport Adantage or Fix Central websites. Passport Adantage You can download the software for Version, Release, and Modification releases from the Passport Adantage website. To download the software items, you must register at the website. Before you can run the installer, you must prepare your setup for the products that you install. The following table lists the prerequisite tasks. Table 1. Prerequisite Tasks Task Configure the required database serers, database schema, and database clients. Create appropriate user accounts according to the operating system. Install and configure the IBM WebSphere Application Serers on target systems. Install the EchOS agent by running the echosagent-installer.jar file on target systems. Prepare the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer system. Refer to Database Configurations Reporting Configurations (For Emptoris Contract Management and Emptoris Spend Analysis) Installation Guide topics: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems on page 28 Windows Systems on page 32 Refer to the appropriate installation document for the WebSphere Application Serer. The installation files can be downloaded from the Passport Adantage or Fix Central websites. Installation files of the following items are proided. EchOS agent Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer Appliance template (common for all products) WebSphere Application Serer configuration package Product builds Starting the Installation Reporting configuration package For the detailed list of the items and the files, see Installation Items that are Proided on page 7. The IBM Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is run by using a command. After the installer is run, you can access the installer wizard in a URL. You must specify the settings for all the products that you are installing in the wizard. Procedure To run the IBM Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, complete the following steps: 1. Run the IBM Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer from the directory where it is saed by using the following command. jaa -jar echos-launcher.jar Chapter 2. Installation Quick Reference 5

14 Note: The installer might take seeral minutes to start. For Windows, run the installer as an administrator. If you get a Jaa not found error, proide the full Jaa path to run the installer. 2. Use the following URL to access the installer URL in a browser Follow the wizard by specifying the configuration properties for the global and indiidual application settings. After you click Install, deployment can take up to 3 hours. For more information, see Installing Emptoris Applications on page 44. Configuring Post-Installation Tasks After the installation of the Emptoris products by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is successful, you must complete post-installation tasks for the Emptoris products. Procedure After the installation is successfully completed, complete the following steps: 1. Start the serices of the applications on the target systems in the following order. a. Stop and restart the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform. b. Sourcing Primary (if Emptoris Sourcing is installed) c. All other Emptoris serices can be started concurrently d. Start the Emptoris HTTP Proxy (CWS) serice last to ensure that the enironment is accessible only after all modules are started For more information, see Starting and Stopping Application Serices on page Complete the post-installation configurations for all Emptoris products. 15 Chapter 3. Installation Downloading Installation Items Depending on the release package that you want to download, you can download the software from Passport Adantage or Fix Central. Software for the Version, Release, and Modification releases is aailable on Passport Adantage. Software for Fix Pack and ifix releases is aailable on Fix Central. The installation files can be downloaded from the Passport Adantage or Fix Central websites. The following table lists the files or software that are proided to you for installation. Table 3. Build file of each product includes the database driers packaged along with it from IBM Emptoris application. You must copy the compressed files of the products to your installation directory. Note: The build package for Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform is proided with each product. If you are planning a standalone setup of a product, use the build package that is proided with the indiidual product. For an integrated setup, use the separate Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform build package. Required on systems that does not hae WebSphere Application Serer. 18 Download Approaches based on Release Type You must use Passport Adantage or Fix Central or both depending on the type of release you want to install. The following table proides the scenarios of downloading installation items. Based on your requirement, you can use one or combinations of the following download scenarios. Table 4. Download Approaches based on Release Types Scenario 1. You are moing from a preious Version, Release, or Modification release to a higher Version, Release, or Modification release. For example, you are moing from a 9.5 release to a modification of an Emptoris product. 2. You hae purchased a Version, Release, or Modification release of Emptoris product or Emptoris Suite of applications for the first time. You are moing from a Fix Pack of a preious Version, Release, or Modification release to a Fix Pack of a higher Version, Release, or Modification release. For example, you are moing from Fix Pack to a Fix Pack of an Emptoris product. You are moing from a Fix Pack of a preious Version, Release, or Modification release to a higher Fix Pack of the same Version, Release, or Modification release. Download Approach Download the release of the product you hae purchased from Passport Adantage. 1. Download the release of the product you hae purchased from Passport Adantage (10.0.2). 2. Download the Fix Pack ( ) from Fix Central. 3. Ensure that the files of the base ersion (10.0.2) and the Fix Pack ( ) are saed at the same location. 4. Install the Fix Pack by running the installer. The base ersion and the Fix Pack are both installed. Note: The same approach must be taken when upgrading from x to x. Download the Fix Pack ( ) from Fix Central. For example, you are moing from Fix Pack to a Fix Pack of an Emptoris product. You are installing an ifix. For example, you are currently on ersion of an Emptoris product and want to install ifix3 of Ensure that you hae installed and running in your enironment. Download the ifix3 for an Emptoris product from Fix Central. Passport Adantage Major releases such as Version, Release, and Modification are aailable on Passport Adantage. 10 IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

19 On Passport Adantage, each product is aailable as a stand-alone eassembly or package. All compatible components that are required to install a product are bundled in an eassembly. In all Emptoris products, few components are common across the eassemblies. See the Common Download Components across Applications on page 16 topic to know about the common components. Download options The Passport Adantage portal proides different download options that are based on the type of installation that you are planning. The following figures illustrate the aailable options. Product eassembly and Components Each product is aailable on Passport Adantage as an eassembly. An eassembly contains the components that are required to install a product. In the following figure, the eassembly of a product is displayed in bold and one of the components is highlighted to show the distinction. Chapter 3. Installation 11

20 Though downloading indiidual components is possible, downloading a complete eassembly proides all compatible components. If you hae the latest ersion of one of the components already, it is best to check whether it is compatible to work with IBM Emptoris products. If you want to install Fix Pack or ifixes of more than one IBM Emptoris products, you must download them indiidually from Fix Central. Downloading installation items from the Fix Central website The software for Fix Packs and ifixes of Emptoris products is aailable on the Fix Central web site. Procedure To download installation items from the Fix Central web site, complete the following steps: 1. Access the Fix Central web site. 2. On the Select Product tab, from the Product Group drop-down list, select Other Software. 3. From the Select from Other Software drop-down list, select an IBM Emptoris product. 4. From the Installed Version drop-down list, select the appropriate ersion. 5. Click Continue. 6. Select the Platform, and click Continue. 7. Select Browse for fixes, and click Continue. Prerequisites for Installing Emptoris Products Before you install the Emptoris products, you must complete certain prerequisite tasks. This is the second step in the process of installing the Emptoris products. The following diagram shows the installation steps. Additional Configurations For the Emptoris Suite of products to work, you must hae a mail, antiirus, and perimeter web serer in your setup. Mail Serer The mail serer is used by all Emptoris applications to send notification s to users. Chapter 3. Installation 23

32 An SMTP-compliant mail serer is required. You can use the existing mail serer of your organization for this purpose. This document does not coer the installation of a mail serer. Mail serer configuration Mail serer configuration is done during the installation of Emptoris products by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. The installer alidates that the proided serer is a alid SMTP serer. You must specify the SMTP serer when you run the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. Antiirus Serer Only ClamAV antiirus serer is supported for the Emptoris products. This document does not coer the installation of an antiirus serer. Antiirus serer configuration is done during the installation of the products by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. Note the following information. It is required at the time of the installation of the Emptoris products. Antiirus serer host: Antiirus serer port: If you plan to use a different antiirus software, configure the antiirus application by referring to its documentation. Perimeter Web Serer In addition to the installation of the Emptoris HTTP proxy serer that is installed through the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, you must also install a perimeter web serer (PWS) that is outside your firewall and routes all users through this serer. The PWS secures your enironment encompassing all Emptoris application and other associated serers. Configuring the PWS inoles forwarding all incoming HTTP traffic to the Emptoris HTTP Proxy web serer, also known as the Common Web Serer (CWS). To configure the forwarding rules, each application must hae its own VirtualHost, except Emptoris Spend Analysis when integrated with Emptoris Sourcing. Ports for the PWS: You must use different ports for the HTTP and HTTPS connections to PWS. Use the following ports for the perimeter web serer to connect to the Emptoris HTTP web serer. HTTP: 80 HTTPS: IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

33 Configuring the PWS: You must implement some minimum functional items for the Perimeter Web Serer (PWS) must to successfully proxy requests to the Emptoris applications. About this task Note: The PWS is not installed when root priileges are not aailable. Procedure To configure the PWS, complete the following steps: 1. Enable secure connections (HTTPS) between the user and the application, and preent non-encrypted (HTTP) requests. 2. Redirect requests from domain name>/emptoris and domain name>/ to domain name>/emptoris/login.jsp. 3. Rewrite paths and cookies such that domain and URL alues are passed to the <emptoris domain name> browser reference instead of to a back-end IP address. 4. Pass the incoming "Host" request header to the Common Web Serer (CWS). 5. Proxy the requests to the following contexts to the CWS: /emptoris, /emptoris-ws. If Emptoris Sourcing is installed, add /sourcing, /sourcing-api, /IFSerices If Emptoris Spend Analysis is installed, add /expensemap If Emptoris Contract Management is installed, add /dicarta, /ecm_help, /webserices If you are planning to use Contracts Transport Utility, add /oauth2 If Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management is installed, add /srm-app If you installed Cognos, add /ibmcognos If SAML is used for authentication, add /samlsps Oerriding authentication properties to allow Emptoris Virtual Supply Master authentication When authentication is disabled for the internal or the external users, the Use VSM Authentication roles can be used to supersede the comprehensie setting. This is applicable in scenarios where the external authentication is accomplished through a TAI that has been configured in the WebSphere Application Serer security domain. This allows users who are specifically assigned the Use VSM Authentication roles to still authenticate internally, and consequently access the following password related features. Any other roles that are granted the Enable Show Login permission can oerride the disabled authentication for the user type, and therefore can be used instead of the Use VSM Authentication roles. If you are upgrading to the or later ersion, and use external authentication for users with Administrator and System Administrator roles, you must disable the Enable Show Login permission on these roles. To disable this permission, from the Administration tab, click Roles > [Name of the role] > Business Objects > User > Security, and clear the Enable Show Login check box. You must perform this actiity for the Administrator and System Administrator roles. Notes: The Forgot Username and the Forgot Password hyperlinks are proided on the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform login page. You can use these hyperlinks if you use Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform for password management and authentication. Database and Reporting Configurations Before you install the Emptoris applications, you must configure the databases for the applications. For information about the configurations that are required on the database serers and reporting database serers, see the following topics. Database Configurations Reporting Configurations Preparing Systems for Installation Before you can use the echos-installer.jar file to run the installer, you must configure the systems that are used in installation. This is the third step in installing Emptoris products. The following diagram shows the installation steps. 26 IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

35 You must ensure that the system clocks of all systems in the setup are set to the same time. Configuring the DNS Entries for Emptoris Sourcing and Emptoris Contract Management You must also configure DNS entries for Emptoris Sourcing and Emptoris Contract Management. You can use multi-byte characters in file paths and folder names to install Emptoris applications. DNS entries must be configured for stand-alone or integrated setups of Emptoris Sourcing and Emptoris Contract Management. Preparing Serer Systems for Installation All products are installed and configured by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform Installer. Before you begin installing the components on serer machines, you must configure the serer machines for installation. This includes making some configurations on the serer machines and installing some of the software packages that you downloaded. The following table displays the different setup types. Use the procedure corresponding to your setup to prepare the machines required for installation. Table 6. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems If the operating system that you use is Red Hat Enterprise Linux (physical or irtual system,) you must prepare the systems by proiding permissions, installing software, applying security patches, and other checks. WebSphere Application Serer Installation Install the WebSphere Application Serer on Red Hat Enterprise Linux machine as root. After the installation is complete, change the owner of the installation binary files to the emptoris user by using the following WebSphere Application Serer script. ${Websphere_Home}/instutils/chutils -installlocation=${websphere_home} -setowner=<username> -setgroup=<groupname> Security and other patches to be applied After you install or upgrade the WebSphere Application Serer to 8.5.5, ensure that you apply the following patches: For Emptoris Sourcing: After installing the patch, add the sib.meenableinstanceonfailure=false property in the WebSphere Administration Console > Serice Integration > Buses > SourcingBus > Custom properties. For Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management: Install the following patch on all application serers of the products that are integrating with Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management: ws-wasprod-ifpm For InfoSphere DataStage: Install the following patch on the InfoSphere DataStage serer on Linux enironment before running the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer for configuring the serer: patch_jr47817_ccoracle_linux64_ Prerequisite Software for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems: To prepare Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems to install Emptoris applications, you must install database clients based on the serers, WebSphere Application Serer, and JDK. Red Hat Enterprise Linux ersion Emptoris applications can be installed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ersions 6.0, 6.6, or 7.1. Apache Web Serer Install Apache Web Serer 2.2.x or 2.4.x for the Emptoris HTTP Proxy Serer. Database clients Install the following database clients for IBM Cognos and IBM InfoSphere DataStage before you install WebSphere Application Serer. DB2 client for if your database serer is DB2. The JDBC.jar files for DB2 are aailable with the DB2 installation and must be copied from the DB2 28 IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

37 installation. While installing the DB2 client, you must catalog the Emptoris Virtual Supply Master DB2 database that you are using. To catalog the database, complete the following steps: 1. Catalog the node by using the command db2 catalog tcpip node <node-name> remote hostname serer ssl_port. 2. Catalog the database by using the command db2 catalog database <database-name> at node <node-name>. Note: Ensure that the InfoSphere DataStage serer has Oracle and DB2 client libraries. Oracle client 12c or later if your database serer is Oracle. While installing the Oracle client for Oracle serers, ensure that you create the TNSNAMES.ORA serice. You must also erify the connectiity to the Oracle database by using sqlplus or an appropriate tool. WebSphere Application Serer Install WebSphere Application Serer with security ifix. If you are using a pre-8.5 ersion of the WebSphere Application Serer, you cannot upgrade it to You must download the base 8.5 ersion and during installation, install the patch release in a separate directory. Use Installation Manager 1.6 to install WebSphere Application Serer. The WebSphere Application Serer is not required for Emptoris HTTP Proxy web serer. Jaa Deelopment Kit Install the Jaa Deelopment Kit For information about installing JDK, see Installing and uninstalling SDK Jaa Technology Edition Version 7.0 or 7.1 on distributed operating systems. Apache for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems: To install the Emptoris HTTP Proxy serer, you must install the Apache HTTP Serer 2.2.x or 2.4.x. While installing Apache, ensure that the directory path has no spaces in it. Also, you must not install the HTTP serer in the Home directory of the user. If you are planning to use an Emptoris HTTP Proxy for each serer, you must install Apache HTTP Serer on each serer machine. If you plan to use Apache 2.4.x for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.0 and 6.6, you must download and install the Apache 2.4.x ersion. For Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1, Apache 2.4.x is aailable by default. You can use the default ersion. Preparing Red Hat Enterprise Linux Systems: You must prepare the systems on which you plan to install Emptoris applications by proiding sudo permissions, creating users, creating directories, and other required steps. 38 Before you begin Ensure the following checks for successful installations of Emptoris applications. In the /etc/sudoers file, comment the Defaults requiretty line. If it is not installed, use yum install mod_ssl to install it. To install the HTTP Proxy module and enable the built-in test perimeter web serer, add the path to your Apache installer file to your sudoers configuration for the emptoris user. For example, add /usr/sbin/httpd or /usr/sbin/httpd.worker. The HTTP Proxy module uses httpd.worker instead of httpd when the worker MPM is installed. If you do not add the path, errors occur when you are trying to automatically start or stop the HTTP Proxy module on Linux enironments. Procedure To prepare a system for installation, complete the following steps: 1. Create emptoris user. 2. Create emptoris group. Attention: You must use the emptoris user and group for installation. Validation errors might occur if the emptoris user and group are not used for installation. 3. Assign the following sudo permissions to the emptoris user. emptoris ALL=NOPASSWD: /sbin/serice, /bin/rm, /bin/mkdir, /usr/bin/unzip, /bin/cp, /usr/sbin/apachectl, /bin/kill, /bin/ln, /bin/chmod, /bin/chown, /bin/chgrp, /opt/ibm/websphere/appserer/jaa/bin/jaa, /opt/ibm/websphere/appserer/bin/wasserice.sh, /usr/sbin/chkconfig Depending on your distribution, the paths to the aboe standard utilities might ary. You can use the 'which' command to locate the correct path. The path to the wasserice.sh script depends on your WebSphere Application Serer installation. Note: Configure the sudo permissions for the emptoris user so that no password and no TTY is required during the installation. After the installation is complete, you may restore the requirement of password for the user. 4. If you do not gie sudo permissions to the emptoris user, complete the Prerequisites for Installing Emptoris Products with Non-Root User on page If you want to use the emptoris user, reset the password for the emptoris user. 6. Log on as emptoris user. Note: For Emptoris Spend Analysis, the group ID of the emptoris group and user ID of the emptoris user on the database serer must sync with the group ID and user ID of the VM node on which the primary and reporting serers will be installed. OLF jobs fail if these group and user IDs are not synced with each other. 7. Ensure that the WebSphere Application Serer Jaa path is set. 8. If you are using the system as the Emptoris HTTP Proxy, install the Apache HTTP Serer. 30 IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

39 9. For Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform, create a directory outside the WebSphere Application Serer directory called SSM_Home, and make the emptoris user the owner of this directory. This directory will contain attachments, batch upload temporary files, logs, and any other file-based data. While installing the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform, specify the location of the ssm_home directory in the Home Directory field. 10. For Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management, create two directories: one for logs and one for attachments. 11. For Emptoris Contract Management, create a directory for attachments and templates. 12. For Emptoris Contract Management reporting, complete the following steps. a. Create a directory on the Cognos serer as the home directory. This is the Cognos Model Home directory. b. Create a directory on the InfoSphere DataStage serer as the projects directory. 13. Assign ownership for these directories to the emptoris user. Prerequisites for Installing Emptoris Products with Non-Root User: If you do not want to gie sudo permissions to the user who will install the Emptoris suite applications, you can install as a non-root user. You must install the EchOS agent as root and proide write access to all installation directories. About this task sudo permissions are required for the following items. To register the following serices in /etc/init.d. EmptorisPws EmptorisHttpProxy ecm1_was.init gateway_was.init To start and stop the serices. Procedure For installing Emptoris products with a non-root user, complete the following steps: 1. Create a non-root user on the Linux system by not proiding any sudo permissions to the user. 2. Install the EchOS agent as root on all application serers. 3. Start the EchOS agent by using the following command. /opt/emptoris/echos-agent/installer/echosagent [start / stop / restart] 4. Install all Emptoris applications in the /opt/emptoris/tools directory. 5. Gie write access to the non-root user to all installation directories and sub directories including WebSphere Application Serer and Apache Serer by giing ownership rights to them. While installing the Oracle client for Oracle serers, ensure that you create the TNSNAMES.ORA serice. You must also erify the connectiity to the Oracle database by using sqlplus or an appropriate tool. WebSphere Application Serer Install WebSphere Application Serer with security ifix. If you are using a pre-8.5 ersion of the WebSphere Application Serer, you cannot upgrade it to You must download the base 8.5 ersion and during installation, install the patch release in a separate directory. Use Installation Manager 1.6 to install WebSphere Application Serer. The WebSphere Application Serer is not required for Emptoris HTTP Proxy web serer. Jaa Deelopment Kit Install the Jaa Deelopment Kit For information about installing JDK, see Installing and uninstalling SDK Jaa Technology Edition Version 7.0 or 7.1 on distributed operating systems. WebSphere Application Serer: WebSphere Application Serer is a prerequisite for the installing Emptoris applications. You must use the IBM Installation Manager to install the WebSphere Application Serer. Creating a repository for WebSphere Application Serer: On Windows systems, an IBM Installation Manager repository must be created for the WebSphere Application Serer. Procedure To create an IBM Installation Manager repository for WebSphere Application Serer, complete the following steps: 1. Go to (Drie) > IBM > Installation_Manager > Eclipse. 2. Run the launcher.exe file. 3. On the Select Mode page, click File > Preferences. 4. Click Add Repository to add a location for WebSphere Application Serer. 5. Go to (Drie) > Emptoris application > WAS Select the repository.config file. 7. Click Open > OK > Apply. Installing the IBM Installation Manager: You must install the IBM Installation Manager to install WebSphere Application Serer. Chapter 3. Installation 33

42 Procedure To install the IBM Installation Manager, complete the following steps: 1. Log into the system with Administrator permissions. 2. Click (Drie) > (Emptoris application) > WAS8.5 > Installation_Manager > InstaMgr(ersion). 3. Run the install.exe file. 4. Select the ersion and click Next. 5. Read and Accept the license agreement. 6. Click Browse to select the location for Installation Manager. 7. Click Install. 8. Restart the Installation Manager. Installing WebSphere Application Serer: The WebSphere Application Serer is required for eery Emptoris application. Procedure To install WebSphere Application Serer, complete the following steps: 1. On the Select Mode page, click Install. 2. Select ersion Read and accept the license agreement. 4. Click Browse to select the location for the shared resources directory. 5. Create a new package group by using the IBM WebSphere Application Serer V8.5 package. 6. Click Browse to select the location for the installation directory. 7. Click Next > Install > Finish. Installing Apache for Windows: Apache 2.2.x or 2.4.x is a prerequisite for installing the Emptoris HTTP Proxy serer. It supports a ariety of features such as serer-side programming language support and authentication schemes. To install Apache 2.2.x or 2.4.x, complete the following steps: 1. Run the apache.msi file. 2. Set the following parameters: Network Domain: Enter the DNS domain in which your serer is registered. Serer Name: Enter the full DNS name of the serer. Administrator's Address: Enter the serer administrator or webmaster address. For whom to install Apache: Select for All Users, on Port 80, as a Serice. Installation type: Select Typical. Where to install: Click Browse to select the location. 3. Click Install. Preparing Windows Systems: You must log in to the systems as administrator and complete certain tasks to prepare Windows systems for installation. Procedure To prepare each Windows serer machine for installation, complete the following steps: 1. Log on as an administrator. 2. For Emptoris Sourcing, note the MaxUserPort property from the Windows registry. When you upgrade to or install a new ersion, the MaxUserPort property that represents the maximum number of ports that can be opened by the user is added or updated to You can compare the new alue with the older alue of the property after upgrade or install. 3. Ensure IBM WebSphere Jaa path is set. (Not for the Emptoris Contract Management Document serer.) 4. Install Apache HTTP Serer if you are using the system as the Emptoris HTTP Proxy. If you are planning to use an Emptoris HTTP Proxy for each serer, you must install Apache HTTP Serer on each serer system. 5. For Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform, create a directory outside the WebSphere Application Serer directory called SSM_home. This directory will contain attachments, batch upload temporary files, logs, and any other file-based data. While installing Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform, specify the location of this directory in the Home Directory field. 6. Create two directories for Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management, one for logs and one for attachments. Chapter 3. Installation 35

44 7. Create a directory for attachments and templates for Emptoris Contract Management. 8. Create a directory on the Cognos serer as the home directory. EchOS Agent The EchOS agent is required on all systems in your setup on which you will install Emptoris applications. The EchOS agent communicates with the installer to install the applications. The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer requires that the EchOS agent must be running on all target systems with which it communicates. The agent must be running during installation and upgrade. The EchOS agent is not required on the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer system if no products are to be installed on that system. Installing Jaa: For running the EchOS agent, and installing the Emptoris applications, Jaa is required on the systems. About this task Make sure that the correct ersion of Jaa is installed on the systems. Download the Jaa Deelopment Kit from swg/selectfixes?parent=ibm%2fwebsphere&product=ibm/websphere/ WebSphere+Application+Serer&release=All&platform=All&function=fixId &fixids= ws-ibmwasjava-part1, ws-ibmwasjava-part2 &includesupersedes=0. For Windows, use IBM JRE 1.7 SR8. For Linux, use IBM JRE SR2. If you are installing Jaa on systems that do not hae the WebSphere Application Serer, you can use the Jaa that is proided with the installer. Procedure To install Jaa, complete the following steps: 1. Download the file and extract the Jaa package to a directory. 2. On Linux, run the chmod -R 777 on the directory where you extracted the files. 3. Run the Jaa executable file to install Jaa. 4. Verify the ersion of Jaa by running one of the following commands on the directory. Windows: jaa -ersion Linux:./jaa -ersion 5. Set the JAVA home path on all target systems. 6. Verify the ariable path. Installing the EchOS Agent: For the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer to communicate with the systems on which applications will be installed, you must install the EchOS agent on all the target systems. 36 IBM Emptoris Suite: Installing

45 Before you begin Install Jaa and configure the Jaa ariable on each target system. About this task On Linux systems, if the agent is not installed as the root user, sudo permissions must be assigned to the user who installs the agent. It is best that you install the agent as the emptoris user. If you do not grant sudo permissions to the emptoris user, the scripts for starting and stopping the agent are not created. Procedure To install the EchOS agent on the target systems, complete the following steps on each system: 1. Open the command prompt. On Windows, open the command prompt as an administrator or the serice to start and stop the agent is not installed. 2. Naigate to the directory where you saed the EchOS agent. 3. Run the following command. <Directory where the file is saed> jaa -jar echos-agent-installer.jar On Linux, if you are running the command with a user who has sudo permissions, run the following command. sudo jaa -jar echos-agentinstaller.jar 4. Accept the default locations of the arious software that are required or specify the following configurations. a. EchOS agent base installation directory b. EchOS agent directory c. Name of the agent serice d. EchOS agent port Note: The default port of the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is 8080 and that of EchOS agent is You can change the port for the installer and agent. The same port must be used for the agent that is installed for all applications. e. EchOS agent IP address f. Emptoris application installation directory g. EchOS Repository directory h. Jaa directory for WebSphere Application Serer Important: For installing Emptoris Strategic Supply Management ersion or later, you must change the Jaa path from the default to the location where Jaa 7 is installed. For the WebSphere Application Serer Jaa, the path is <WebSphere Install Directory>\WebSphere\AppSerer\ jaa_1.7.1_64. If you do not hae the WebSphere Application Serer installed, you should gie the path to the Jaa that you installed. j. Ant installation directory Chapter 3. Installation 37

To start the EchOS agent with the emptoris user, use the following command. sudo serice echosagent start For users with non-root priileges, you must start the EchOS agent with a script. The location of the script is proided when the installation of EchOS agent completes. Starting the EchOS agent on Windows: You can start the EchOS agent from the Serices console on Windows. The EchOS agent must be started before you install any Emptoris applications. Procedure To start the EchOS agent serice, complete the following steps: 1. In the command prompt, enter serices.msc, and press Enter. 2. In the Serices console, right-click EchOS Agent [echosagent]. 3. Click Start. 4. Close the Serices console. 5. 47 Starting the EchOS Agent on Windows from the Command Line: The EchOS agent must be running on all target systems before you install the Emptoris applications. You can start the EchOS agent from the command line on Windows systems. Procedure To start the EchOS agent from the command line, complete the following steps: 1. Open the command prompt as an Administrator. 2. Run the following command. sc start echosagent If you changed the serice name from the default, use that name in the command. Starting the EchOS agent on Linux: You can start the EchOS agent on Linux by running a command. The EchOS agent must be started on Linux serer systems before you install Emptoris applications. Procedure To start the EchOS agent on Linux, complete the following steps: 1. Log into the system with root priileges. 2. Enter the following command: sudo serice echosagent start. If you changed the serice name from the default, use that name in the command. Note: For users with non-root priileges, you must start the EchOS agent with a script. The location of the script is proided when the installation of the EchOS agent completes. Grant the run permission to the script, and use the following command to run the script:./echosagent start. Verifying the Status of the EchOS agent: After starting the EchOS agent on all systems, you can erify that the EchOS agent is running on all systems. Procedure To erify the status of the EchOS agent, complete the following steps: 1. Access the following URL on the ssystems to erify if the EchOS agent is running. The default port of the EchOS agent is Acknowledge the confirmation that is displayed. 49 If the installer ersion is pre , a message is displayed prompting you to upgrade the ersion of the EchOS agent manually. You must manually upgrade the EchOS agent on all target systems where it is running. Important: The EchOS agent must be running for the installer to detect its current ersion. Howeer, with ersion , Emptoris applications require Jaa Deelopment Kit (JDK) When upgrading from a preious ersion to , you must re-install the EchOS agent manually on all target systems where it is running to use JDK You must complete this step wheneer the supported ersion of JDK changes. Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is a web-based application that is proided with the IBM Emptoris product software to install Emptoris products. By using the installer, you can install the applications afresh and also upgrade them. The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is a.jar file that is run from the command line. You must download all required files and sae them to a root installation directory on the system. You can run the installer from any notebook or desktop in your network that has Linux or Windows XP SP3 (32-bit), and later. The system must be on LAN for faster performance. You can use a serer system to run the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. Howeer, you must ensure that the port numbers are appropriately configured for the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, EchOS agent, and the application. Installer language The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer is aailable only in English. The user interface (UI) is not multi-lingual and does not support any other language. EchOSRepository When you run the installer, the echos-installer > EchosRepository directories are automatically created on the system from which it is run. Installation artifacts are stored in this directory. The EchosRespository directory continues to grow as newer builds are installed. Archie these builds to a separate location after installation to consere disk space. How does the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer work The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer not only installs and upgrades the Emptoris applications, it also merges build files and archies the old builds. The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer moes the appliance template and installation packages to the EchosRepository directory during installation. Chapter 3. Installation 41

50 The EchosRepository manages space and files in the EchosRepository with the following functions: Merging and archiing builds that are used for base and incremental installation to the Archie folder. If the merging is unsuccessful, archiing of incremental build does not happen. Deleting older ersions of installation packages in the target agent repository after an installation or upgrade on a target machine. Not archiing during an update. Archiing the saed configuration in the EchosRepository/ApplianceArchie folder. No configurations are saed in root directory. Backward Compatibility of the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer ersion and later ersions are backward compatible. With ersions or later of the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, you can use the installer with ersions 9.5 or later of the EchOS agent, and use it to install Emptoris products from ersion 9.5 onwards. Howeer, with ersion , Emptoris applications require Jaa Deelopment Kit (JDK) When upgrading from a preious ersion to , you must re-install the EchOS agent manually on all target systems where it is running to use JDK You must complete this step wheneer the supported ersion of JDK changes. Emptoris Applications that are Installed by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer All Emptoris applications are installed by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. Configurations for the application, database, and web serers are also done through the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. Configuring the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer System Before you run the installer, you must prepare the system from which you will run the installer. You must set certain ariables on the system and ensure that you sae the installer file and application packages on the system. Procedure To configure the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer system, complete the following steps: 1. Create a root installation directory on the system from which you will run the installer and sae the following software in that directory. Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer file (echos-launcher.jar.) Product build for each product that you are planning to install. (Proided to you in.zip files.) Appliance template. Graphical mode: Uses the graphical interface in your default browser to install the applications. This is the default mode of the installer and is recommended for most installations. Silent mode: Uses the installation properties from an encrypted saed configuration file and installs applications with no user interaction. This mode cannot be used for fresh installation. Command-line mode: Uses the command-line mode for installation. When you run the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer to install Emptoris applications, the message on the upper left corner of the interface reads You are installing Emptoris Suite Appliance. When you update or upgrade an application, the message that is displayed is You are updating Emptoris Suite Appliance. Emptoris HTTP proxy serer installation You can install the Emptoris HTTP Proxy serer as a shared resource for all applications in the suite or as a separate proxy serer for each application in the suite. Installing it as a separate proxy serer is useful for using it as a load balancer for the applications. If you install the Emptoris HTTP Proxy serer as a separate proxy serer for each application, you must install it on the same machine as the application to which it sends the proxy requests. You can use any aailable port, including the default port 8080, for each of the Emptoris HTTP proxy serer instances. Note: If you hae an existing stand-alone installation of an application that is configured with a shared Emptoris HTTP proxy serer instance, and you want to hae a separate instance for each application, you must create a new configuration with all the required components. An error might occur if you attempt to use a preiously saed configuration for the installation. Option for Installing Emptoris Program Management By using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, you can install Emptoris Program Management in your setup. Installing Emptoris Program Management An option is aailable on the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer UI while configuring Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform to enable Emptoris Program Management. This option is aailable only if the EMP_PGM_<ersion>_xx.zip file is aailable in the EchOSRepository directory. Chapter 3. Installation 45

54 Installing Emptoris Suite Applications by using a Command-Line Interface You can install the Emptoris Suite applications by using a command-line interface. Before you begin Follow all the instructions that are proided in Preparing Systems for Installation on page 26 to prepare your enironment to install Emptoris Suite applications. Use the worksheet to note all alues for field entries. Procedure To install the IBM Emptoris applications by using the command-line interface, complete the following steps: 1. Open a command-line interface from the folder where the echos-launcher.jar file is located. 2. Run the following command: jaa -jar echos-launcher.jar -consolemode true. Note: The command-line interface prompts you with options, press Enter to accept a default alue. 3. Press Enter to read and enter 1 to accept the software license agreement. 4. Enter Y to install an Emptoris Suite application. Install Contract Management [Y/N]: 5. Configure all parameters for the applications that you want in your setup. For more information, see Preparing Serer Systems for Installation on page 27. All product builds are aailable in the installation directory. For more information about the product files that are required for installation, see Installation Items that are Proided on page 7. Note: The EchosRepository continues to grow as newer builds are added. To consere disk space, you can archie these builds to a separate location after installation. Ensure that the /tmp directory has 2-3 GB space. All packages that are sent to the arious serers during installation are extracted to the /tmp directory. It must therefore hae enough space for the extraction and merging of the packages. Running the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer on Windows To run the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, run the following command as administrator from the command prompt: jaa -jar echos-launcher.jar You must run the echos-launcher.jar file from the directory where it is copied. To start the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer with the changed port for the EchOS agent, use the following command. jaa -Dechos.port=8081 -Dechos.agent.port=<New EchOS agent port> -jar echos-launcher.jar You must specify the changed port for the agent also from the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer user interface in the Topology Configuration section of the Emptoris HTTP Proxy page. This is to aoid any port clashes. URL for installation After the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer starts successfully, the screen displays the URL that is to be used for installing the products as shown below. The UI for the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer opens automatically in a browser. The new builds must be aailable in the root installation directory. Cleaning the repository You can click Compact Local Repository to clean the EchOSRepository directory. Old build files are automatically deleted when you use this option. CAUTION: You must use this option only after the upgrade or update of the existing Emptoris applications is successfully completed. When the upgrade or update is successful, when you click Next, the home page of the installer is displayed. You can click Next to come to the Select the Install Type page to use the Compact Local Repository option. Licenses When you install Emptoris applications using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, you must accept the Software License Agreement for all the Emptoris applications that you hae selected. You must click Accept on the Software License Agreement module to proceed to the next Emptoris product build that you hae selected. After you accept the

57 licenses, a compressed file for each product is generated in the Echos-installer > EchOSRepository > Packages directory. The name of the license file is appended with _license. Example: EMP-SLM_ _license.zip. The license files are copied to the target machine (where the application is to be installed) during the installation. Configuring Global Settings Global Settings are configured for all applications. In an integrated enironment, the Global settings are applicable for all applications in the suite. Global settings are also applicable when you install a single application. Procedure Use the following procedure to configure the Global settings page for Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer 1. Configure Suite Properties. 2. Configure Software Properties. 3. When you select Yes to Enable Antiirus Protection, you must configure the following fields. Antiirus Serer Host Antiirus Serer Port The antiirus settings are optional. The configuration is deployed on the same machine as Emptoris HTTP Proxy. Note: This configuration is not intended for production use. You should use it in test configurations or sandbox enironments. IP Configuration The following image show the IP Configuration section. When you select Yes for the Skip host name resolution option, host names are used when selecting target machines, and the generated Apache configuration contains host names. When you select No, host names are conerted to IP addresses. IP addresses are used in the generated configuration. Note: When integrating with SAML2, it is not necessary to proide the domain of your IdP serer in this list. General Configuration: You must specify the installation directory of Apache in the General Configuration section. Specify the installation directory path in the Apache text box. You need not specify the path to the Apache executable file. The following image shows the Apache text box in the General Configuration section. 64 Configurations for Emptoris Sourcing In Emptoris Sourcing, the Proxy, Primary, and Batch Serer 1 are mandatory, and are installed on a single node. All other serers are installed on separate nodes. Multiple serers can also be installed on a single node. Depending on your setup, you can install two more batch serers and three eent serers. Adding Emptoris Sourcing to your setup If you hae an existing setup of other applications, you can add Emptoris Sourcing to your setup. Make sure that you hae the prerequisite hardware and software for Emptoris Sourcing. For more information, see IBM Emptoris Suite Serer System Requirements and IBM Emptoris Suite Client System Requirements. Upgrading and updating Emptoris Sourcing If you already hae Emptoris Sourcing 10.0 in your setup, you can upgrade or update your existing Emptoris Sourcing application to a later ersion. Upgrading from a pre ersion to the latest ersion is a paid serice and performed by the Emptoris serices team. Contact your IBM Emptoris representatie to request upgrading. Specifying the Settings for Emptoris Sourcing: You must configure the database connection, adanced settings, and serer settings for Emptoris Sourcing. About this task If you want to run the primary and batch serers on separate systems, you must not install the batch serer 1 and select batch serer 2 or 3. Batch serer 1 is always installed on the same system as the primary serer. Procedure To configure Emptoris Sourcing, complete the following steps: 1. Select the Emptoris Sourcing modules. 2. Select the database and configure the Database Connection. 3. Specify the Adanced settings. 4. Specify the Primary Serer Configuration. 5. Specify the batch and eent serer configurations. 6. The option for the primary serer is selected by default and cannot change this option. A primary serer is installed by default and you can optionally add an index serer. The index serer can be installed as a stand-alone index serer. Index serer From the Modules section, you can select the Index Serer to be installed into a separate JVM by selecting the INDEX_SERVER check box. This might increase performance in larger installations, but the Index Serer can be started and stopped separately. Adding Emptoris Program Management to the Emptoris setup The settings for Emptoris Program Management are the same that are specified for the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform. The option to install Emptoris Program Management along with the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform is enabled in the installer if the EMP_PGM_ _<build number>.zip file is aailable in your root installation directory. Specifying the Settings for the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform and Emptoris Program Management: For the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform and Emptoris Program Management, you must specify the database connection, application settings, and primary serer properties. You can select the APIs to be installed. By default all web serices are selected to be installed. 83 You can choose to clear the Enable Web Serices check box and not install the APIs if APIs are not used in your setup. You can also choose to select the Preent Error Details in Web Serice Messages check box. When you select this option, error details are not logged in the messages of web serices. When you clear the Preent Error Details in Web Serice Messages check box, the WebSphere Application Serer is set in a mode where the SOAP web serice faults are not unified. For more information about the setting and its security ramifications, see Diagnosing Web Serices Problems. If you are planning to install Emptoris Supplier Lifecycle Management or Emptoris Spend Analysis, you must select API check box. If you are planning to install Emptoris Contract Management, you must select the API check box. Primary: Adanced: You must specify the JVM Heap Size, and the installation directory paths for Jaa and WebSphere Application Serer. You must manually reenter the alue. Configurations for the Search Serer The Emptoris Contract Management application supports the Solr search engine for indexing and searching. The Search Serer is a mandatory component for Emptoris Contract Management. The installation and configurations of the Solr serers is done through the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer. One indexing serer is selected by default when you run the installer. The recommended minimum configuration is three. You can choose to install only one search serer or add up to seen serers in your setup. One serer can be used for small enironments, such as test enironments. It is recommended that an odd number of modules be selected. All Search Serer modules can be installed on the same or on different systems. After you install Emptoris Contract Management successfully, and start the application, full indexing is automatically started. Specifying Settings for the Search Serer: For installing and configuring the Search Serer for Emptoris Contract Management, you must select the number of search serers that you want to install, specify the Heap size for the serers, and optionally choose to specify different data directories for the serers. Procedure To specify the settings for the Search Serer, complete the following steps: 1. Select the Search Serer Modules. 2. Specify the Global Search Serer Settings. Search Serer Modules: You can install up to seen search serers for Emptoris Contract Management. One serer is selected by default when you run the installer. You can choose to install a single serer or add multiple serers to your setup. Specify a different directory for the Search serer data. Specify a different directory for the ZooKeeper data. Jaa, Solr, and ZooKeeper software are installed in separate directories. Separate directories are created for each Search Serer module, such as serer1, serer2. Each Search Serer consists of a Solr serer instance data and ZooKeeper instance data. The Solr instance data includes contract collections, such as contracts_shard1_replica1, and index data files. Related information: Table 55 on page 140 Identifying Hosts After you hae specified the settings for the products, you must identify and alidate the hosts that you hae specified for each application. Enter the host names of the different application serers you hae prepared for installation in the respectie text boxes. If you are using the Data Transport feature, you must use Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) instead of host names. For the Search Serer, you can install all serers on a single system or on different systems. To install all serers on a single system, specify the same host name or IP address for all serers. To install the serers on different systems, specify different host names or IP addresses for each serer. Saing the configuration You can now sae the configuration on the Identifying hosts page before the host alidation. Saing configuration at this point saes your efforts to re-enter configuration details if installation fails for some reasons. Howeer, the saed configuration cannot be used during update or upgrade as the host alidation is not completed. As in the earlier releases, this option is also aailable on the Summary page after host alidation. Validating hosts When you click Validate Hosts, the application performs the following alidations. Communication between hosts and applications Required disk space and RAM on hosts Required operating system for the hosts Paths specified in preious installation screens are alidated If any of these alidations are not passed, an error message is displayed. You must resole the error for the hosts to be alidated. After the hosts are successfully alidated, click Next. Summary On the Summary page, click Print View to iew the configuration settings of the applications that you are installing. You can print the settings by clicking the Print hyperlink. 103 You should sae the configuration only if you plan to exit the installer. The configuration is saed later and the name for the saed file cannot be reused. After the hosts are alidated, you can iew the summary of the installation. A list is displayed of the applications and the host names on which they will be installed. Installing the Applications To install the applications, you must go to the Install page and click Start Installation. Prerequisite For the antiirus serer to scan attachments for Emptoris Sourcing, you must ensure that the alue for the StreamMaxLength property matches in the antiirus serer and in Emptoris Sourcing. To match the alue, copy the alue of the StreamMaxLength property from the clamd.conf file from the antiirus serer to the StreamMaxLength property in the siteconfig.properties file. You must set this property before the Emptoris Sourcing primary serice starts. Installation process When you start the installation, the installer performs the following actions: Appliance and application templates are saed on the serers on which applications will be installed. Configurations are alidated. Applications are installed. The Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform is installed first. After it is successfully installed, all other integrating applications are installed in parallel. The Installation Progress Info lists the tasks that are performed by the installer and shows the progress of each task. Successful and failed tasks are displayed in the list. A message is displayed when the installation is successful. After the installation is complete, you can close the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Platform Installer by closing your browser. Starting the applications After the applications are installed, the Start Installation button is replaced by the Start Modules button. You can click the Start Modules button to start the installed Emptoris Suite applications. 106 Starting applications on Windows You can start and stop applications using the Windows serice manager application or by using the Windows sc command. To start the applications when serices are not installed, use the following command. <WAS_HOME>\AppSerer\bin\startSerer <serer_name> -profilename<profile_name> When running from the profile directory of a product, do not specify the profile. <emptoris_install_dir>/perm/.../<profile>/bin/startserer<serer_name> For Emptoris Sourcing, you must start the sourcing_spa1 serice of the primary serer before starting any other Emptoris Sourcing serice. Starting applications on Linux If the application is installed as a serice use the serice start/stop command to start and stop the application. serice gateway_was.init start You may need root or sudo priileges to run this command. Note: For Emptoris Sourcing, you must start the sourcing_spa1 serice of the primary serer before starting any other Emptoris Sourcing serice. Starting the EmptorisHTTPProxy serice If you cannot start the EmptorisHTTPProxy serice, check whether SELinux is enabled. If it is enabled, you must configure it to allow Apache to run as the emptoris user in the installation directory configured by the install process. Please consult your operating system documentation for details. Steps for Emptoris Contract Management for the ecm.properties File: From ersion onwards, some properties from the ecm.properties file for Emptoris Contract Management are configured in the Emptoris Contract Management application. If you hae successfully upgraded Emptoris Contract Management from an earlier ersion to or later, you must complete certain steps to ensure that the ecm.properties file has the latest updated properties. About this task After upgrading from an earlier ersion to or later, you must make sure that the ecm.properties file has the latest alues from the preious installation before you start the Emptoris Contract Management application serice. When the Emptoris Contract Management application serice is started for the first time, the configurations that can be done from the application UI are automatically migrated to the database and remoed from the ecm.properties file. Any upgrades to the or later enironment might result in the re-addition of the properties that are moed to the UI to the ecm.properties file. Note: The PWS is not installed when root priileges are not aailable. 3. Complete the following steps to start and stop the serices of the Search serer. a. From the /opt/emptoris/apps/install_base/perm/searchserver/serer[x]/ solr directory, run the following command../solr.sh start where X is the number of Solr serer instance that you want to start. This command also starts the ZooKeeper instance. b. To stop the Search serer, run the./solr.sh stop command. c. To stop the ZooKeeper serice, from the /opt/emptoris/apps/install_base/ perm/searchserver/serer[x]/zookeeper directory, run the./zookeeper.sh stop command. Starting and Stopping the Serices for the Search Serers: After the Search serers are successfully installed and configured by using the Emptoris Strategic Supply Management Installer, separate serices for Solr and ZooKeeper instances are created.
