7 Preface IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines proides a centralized system management tool on the Tioli platform for Windows NT, 2000, and XP automated teller machines that use the extensions for Financial Serices (XFS) interface specification Release 2.0. These automated teller machines, are referred to in this document as Windows XFS automated teller machines. In proiding integration of Windows XFS automated teller machines with the Tioli Management Framework, IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines enables: Collecting and querying of inentory information for automated teller machines. Distribute software to your automated teller machines. Rebooting of automated teller machines. These release notes are the most current information for the product. Reiew these notes thoroughly before installing or using this product. These requirements include hardware platforms, RAM, and disk space. The prerequisites listed in this section are the recommended enironment for automated teller machine at the time of publication. IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1 is supported only when used with prerequisites that are officially supported by the third-party endor. Supported Hardware Platforms The following table identifies the supported operating system ersions for each supported hardware platform. Disk Space Requirements On the Tioli serer, the disk space requirement for IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines is 6 MB for any supported platform. Note: The installation program requires at least 120 MB free disk space in the operating system temporary directory to run. Software Requirements Before installing IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1, you must hae the following software installed and running: On the Tioli Serer: A supported operating system Tioli Management Framework, Version 4.1 IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Software Distribution, Version 4.2 IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Inentory, Version 4.2 On the Automated Teller Machine A supported operating system Tioli Management Framework Endpoint, Version 4.1 The XFS serice proider software, Release 2.0 Ensure also that the logical serices for the automated teller machine peripheral deices are configured. If any of the deices are configured using serice class names other than the standard serice class names, you need to define your serice class names using an alias file proided with IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1. Internationalization notes This chapter contains software limitations, problems, and workarounds for international ersions of IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1. Software limitations, problems and workarounds This section describes software limitations, problems, and workarounds that apply to international ersions of IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1. Defect 38318: InstallShield MultiPlatform, Version 5.0 that is used in IBM Tioli Configuration Manager for Automated Teller Machines, Version 2.1 does not support the Arabic locale. For this reason the dialog that loads the InstallShield Wizard is displayed with strange characters, the others dialogs are displayed in English. The corresponding InstallShield MultiPlatform defect is LSMH5GAFC2, and will be fixed with Version 6.0. In the Arabic enironment, using Windows 2000 all the Jaa dialogs default the keyboard to Arabic. This means that in all the input text boxes you can correctly enter Arabic characters but not English characters. Use the Alt+Shift combination to set the keyboard into English.
