3 Introduction Course Overview QAWorks QABook Enterprise Advanced Training course has been structured to provide attendees with a practical, in-depth understanding of the SharePoint enabled version of QABook, how to create a project, how to create a QABook SharePoint site, how to customise field values, and how to set User Permissions. This ½ (half) day course will show how the tool can be used in a real testing environment and demonstrate how common challenges can be overcome. It will explain the general principles around the administration side of QABook, provide attendees in-depth understanding of how to apply these principles and cover key practices related to effective use of the tool. It will also explain how you can integrate QABook with Directory Services (using the LDAP protocol) to import and authenticate users. 2

4 Course Objectives By attending the course you will gain an understanding of how to install QABook, set-up a project and its accompanying SharePoint site, avoid common pit-falls and learn key aspects including: Installing QABook s Server and SharePoint web parts Managing your users Creating QABook Projects Set User Permission Settings Customise your QABook Experience Create QABook sites on Microsoft SharePoint Import and Export data Who should attend? This course is designed for your SharePoint Administrators and the Project Management team, and those interested to understand what is involved in administering QABook via the desktop client, the Server application and Microsoft SharePoint. Material & Equipment For classroom training, QAWorks will provide Windows desktop machines for use during the course. We are happy for you to export your QABook project after the course and copy to a USB memory stick. We are also happy for attendees to bring their own laptops for use during the course. We can install a desktop copy of QABook at the start of the course or attendees can download a copy of QABook from qabook.com. For QABook Enterprise training we will provide access to our Microsoft SharePoint servers where a training site will be pre-configured. As a minimum requirement your Windows laptop should have: Windows 7 or a newer version Active wireless internet card or wired ethernet card 3

This ensures the courses are delivered from the perspective of real life, practical use, not just theory. Manish Wadhwani Manish is the Development Director at QABook and QAWorks. He is a highly experienced full stack Senior Developer / Test Architect with a multitude of skills acquired over 10 years of professional experience. Manish specialises in C#,.NET, Java and SQL Server with proficiency in writing UI automated test frameworks using open source tools. Manish is adept at making Web and Windows (WinForms and WPF) applications testable by implementing accessibility features. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience training teams in best agile practices and teaching them how to use QABook. Navnit Anuth Navit is our lead developer at QABook and has helped to shape and devleop the latest QABook releases. Navnit is also a highly experienced Senior SDET who brings a wealth of experience to test delivery from his background as a senior software developer. 4
