4 Support Package 02 Cube Designer SSAS 2008 R2 Supported SSAS 2008 R2 SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) 2008 R2 is now supported ADAPT Re-process parts of the cube in single InfoCube You can re-process specific parts (packages or consolidations) of a single InfoCube deployment ADAPT System Support for SQL 2008 R2 Financial Consolidation now supports SQL 2008 R2 ADAPT /6

5 Support Package 04 Analysis Consolidation status incorrectly displayed in Home module A consolidation that has never been run is displayed as Empty in the objects list in the Home module instead of as Never run ADAPT Cube Designer Historized scope hierarchy broken Historized view that contains several consolidations with several scope entity hierarchies: when modifying one scope entity hierarchy in one consolidation and when re-deploying a cube with a historized scope hierarchy, the historized scope hierarchy was broken ADAPT General Financial Consolidation available in Hungarian Financial Consolidation is now available in Hungarian as an application language ADAPT External user accounts are locked when canceling password change When an external user (a user outside of the Business Intelligence platform) clicks Cancel in the Change Password dialog box, the user s account is deactivated and the user cannot log in to Financial Consolidation ADAPT Operation With manual journal entry import you can now replace journal entries with new ones from the import file When you import manual journal entries from a file, you can now choose whether you want to simply add the new manual journal entries, or whether you want to replace existing manual journal entries with new ones from the import file You can also choose to unprotect the protected manual journal entries before replacing them ADAPT /6

6 Support Package 05 Cube Designer Aurora 40 SP02 Support Aurora 40 SP02 is support by Financial Consolidation Cube Designer 100 ADAPT General Financial Consolidation documentation should mention backward compatibility issue for version 40 SP03 of the BI platform Technical documentation for Financial Consolidation does not specify that if you upgrade to SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform 40 Support Package 03, there is no backward compatibility with previous versions of the BI platform ADAPT Web Interface No warning message is displayed when maximum character limit has been reached for a package comment When a comment exceeding 2,000 characters is entered in a package, there is no warning message informing the user that the maximum allowed number of characters has been reached ADAPT /6

7 Support Package 06 Cube Designer SAP NetWeaver BW 730 Support Cube Designer supports SAP NetWeaver BW 730 ADAPT Format for Time Default Member The default member of the Period and the Data Entry Period dimensions should be displayed by default in the following format : [YYYY][MM] ADAPT General Consolidation process optimized The worktable created during the consolidation process has been optimized in order to improve performance ADAPT Romanian is now an application language Romanian is now available as an application language ADAPT Setup Two new hierarchy link methods have been created Two additional hierarchy link methods have been added to the hierarchy selection dialog box in the report designer: - "Children and grandchildren from starting point" - "Starting point and children and grandchildren" ADAPT /6

8 Support Package 06 Patch 02 Cube Designer Implement full SSO at Cube Designer Level Cube Designer is now able to work in a full Single Sign On mode It means that an end-user logs in to his computer, then launches Cube Designer The logon dialog box still opens but the authentication information is already filled in The user only needs to select the EPM Connection To activate the SSO, you must set to TRUE the following key in the CartesisInformationDeliveryWorkbenchexeconfig file: <add key="isssoactivated" value="true" /> By default, the key is set to FALSE You must also specify for each user the following information in Financial Consolidation (in the "Authentication" tab that is displayed when you create a user): select the Use external authentication option, enter the login composed of the domain name and the user name (example: DEV87\EOAADMIN), and enter the exact same alias as the one provided in the properties of the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise user Note that for now, only the Windows authentication type (by selecting the Use Windows Account ) is available for this type of users ADAPT /6

9 Resolved issues This section describes the support package fixes in SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation 100 Each issue has an internal reference number Support Package 01 Administration Calculation error in task scheduling The task scheduler sometimes returns a past date for the start date of a task, immediately after the task has been launched This leads to immediate resubmission of the task ADAPT Connection to Financial Consolidation fails when logging in as a new external user When a new external user such as an AD user in UMS logs on to Financial Consolidation after being prompted to change the password, the connection fails ADAPT Transferring consolidated data with entry headers and a transfer restriction fails When executing a send task containing consolidation data with entry headers and a transfer restriction, the send task fails and the following error message appears: "Could not retrieve objects linked to object [ ] Consolidation definition [ ]" ADAPT Cube Designer No table modification needed to deploy period hierarchies Fiscal and calendar hierarchies can now be deployed without modifying the period table in Financial Consolidation For both hierarchy types, every month description has a set description, even if the start month is not January For example, the April description is "April 04" even though it is defined as the start month for the fiscal hierarchy ADAPT /40

10 Deploying only most detailed data in an InfoCube A new option allows to adapt Financial Consolidation data model to SAP NetWeaver BI data model needs by filtering data that are not used in an SAP NetWeaver BI InfoCube It works as follows: - category builder s existing dimensional analysis are read - all data NOT identified as being the most detailed ones are deleted This analysis is run for each consolidation definition on the following compulsory dimensions: Indicator = Account / Flow The user can optionally select to run the query on the following dimensions: Reporting Unit, Original Reporting Unit and Audit ID This deployment option is located in the new "Dimensional Analysis" tab of Extended Analytics Designer This feature is furthermore explained in the "Deploying only Most Detailed Data in an SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse Cube" section of the SAP BusinessObjects Financial Consolidation, Cube Designer 100 Help and User Guide ADAPT Star schema deployment When deploying a star schema containing a dimension in which a characteristic is "null" in Financial Consolidation, the corresponding NA member in the star schema is converted to zero Now, "null" appears in the star schema ADAPT Time Performance Optimization Optimization has been performed on the following actions: - Change parent child aggregation for account dimension - Change Deactivate All Member for analysis dimension ADAPT Members of Reporting ID dimension are not displayed When following these steps, the members of the Reporting ID merged dimension are not displayed anymore in the "Members" tab: include the Reporting ID merged dimension; in the Category dimension, select only one member (a Category Scenario Account Hierarchy must be linked to this member); select a member in the Reporting ID dimension; for the Account Dimension, include the Category Scenario Account linked to the selected Category dimension member and rename this hierarchy; save, close and reopen the solution ADAPT Executing two batches at the same time Executing two batches (for deployment, process or update actions) at the same time using one Deployer makes the Deployer crash ADAPT /40

13 Operation Import task performed via an Oracle table prompts for password even if it is stored in the registry When importing data using an OLE connection on an Oracle database, the import wizard prompts for a password instead of using the already open ODBC connection with the password stored in a registry key ADAPT Users with package administration rights migrated with "No access" level in package workflow When migrating from version 70 of Financial Consolidation to version 100, users having package administration rights and who are not included in the package workflow are migrated with the level No access in the workflow, regardless of whether a registry key was activated before migration When the registry key is activated, users with package administration rights should be migrated with the level "Any level" in the workflow ADAPT Data processing options are grayed out in Data Import Wizard for manual journal entries If any of the functional rights under Manage a journal entry in the user s assigned functional profile in the Security view are unchecked, when the user imports a manual journal entry via the Data Import Wizard, the options Validate journal entries, Post journal entries and Protect journal entries are grayed out, even when the corresponding functional rights in the Security view are selected ADAPT Impossible to update the restrictions of a posted central manual journal entry An error occurs when updating the restrictions of a posted central manual journal entry using the property box ADAPT Financial interest rate calculations are incorrect when statutory scope initialized with a subscope from a portfolio When initializing a statutory scope with a subscope from a portfolio, the calculation of the financial interest rate is wrong in the following cases: - The reporting unit is created from a portfolio - The reporting unit is owned by the parent of the sub scope and the parent of the scope - The reporting unit has been forced to Not Consolidated in the sub scope ADAPT /40

14 Setup Rules selecting amounts of a given sign do not select the manual journal entry version amounts with the opposite sign Consolidation and preconsolidation rules selecting only positive or only negative amounts generate incorrect amounts when the data selected by the rule comes from manual journal entries with several versions ADAPT Web Interface Online help for the Web is not contextual Localized versions of the online helpset for the Web are not contextual ADAPT Duplicate rows created when updating comments on imported amounts in web packages When updating the comment on an imported amount in a web package with two users in multi-user mode, duplicate rows are generated An error message: "Serious error in the data engine" is displayed when trying to open the package again ADAPT The application freezes when a large number of items are displayed in lists on the web On the web, when a large number of items (particularly when the "Show all" option is selected) are displayed in lists of values with checkboxes (for example, filters by reporting ID), the application freezes ADAPT /40

15 Support Package 01 Patch 01 Cube Designer Default Member Selection on Consolidations Dimension When a default member has been selected for the Consolidations merged dimension, the SSAS deployment fails ADAPT Empty Dimension Properties for Dimensions Composing a Merge For any dimension composing a merged dimension, the "Dimension Properties" fields in the "General" tab are empty ADAPT Excluded Dimension For a dimension, when performing the following actions in the "Members" tab, the dimension may be automatically excluded: uncheck the "Select all members" option, click the "Reset" button, then click the "Deselect Visible" button ADAPT Support Package 02 Administration A send task fails if it contains preconsolidated data without an entry header and additional processing is activated A send task containing preconsolidated data fails if it has an additional processing for transferring preconsolidated data and the Send journal entry headers option is not selected The following error message appears: Failed to prepare database ADAPT Analysis Dashboard data is not correctly updated for new databases The dashboard data is not correctly updated for new databases, in particular for consolidation and package controls ADAPT /40

16 Cube Designer Connection error when parallel deployments When deploying or updating an SAP NetWeaver BW cube, the connection is first deleted and then recreated When two users performs deployments at the same time, if a user is trying to connect to the Financial Consolidation database while the connection has been temporarily deleted by the other deployment, the connection cannot be established ADAPT Batch deployment error When performing a deployment using the batch file, if the deployment fails, the error message ("Deployment service not found") is not explicit enough ADAPT Attributes Converted into Navigation Attributes in NetWeaver BW When a NetWeaver BW deployment contains attributes of type characteristics and self-referenced characteristics, the attributes are converted into "Navigation Attributes" in the resulting InfoCube ADAPT Incremental NetWeaver BW Deployment When re-deploying a NetWeaver BW deployment containing new dimensions, members or hierarchies, only these new dimensions, members or hierarchies are deployed and added to the cube ADAPT Member Order for Merged Dimensions In the "Translation and Member Names" tab of merged dimensions, you can sort the members in ascending or descending order, based on their codes or based on a description language ADAPT General Incorrect translations when French is the application language When French is the application language, some of the user interface labels are incorrectly translated ADAPT /40

17 Internet Errors in the Data Link task log file are in the server application language instead of the client application language When running a Data Link task from the Web client, the log file is set in the application language of the web server, instead of taking into account the client application language ADAPT Operation Package controls are not run after import Package controls and package rules are not run after a package import even though the option is selected in the Package Import wizard ADAPT Cannot save manual journal entry containing an audit ID with restriction on a variant An error occurs when saving a manual journal entry (with an audit ID requiring a restriction on a variant) after modifying it The following error message is displayed: "The restriction information on the journal entry {TEST-YYYYMM - TEST - N 2} is invalid" ADAPT Error message in RU Organizer does not appear in current application language If you paste an RU Organizer containing no Level 1 users into another Reporting ID, the error message displayed does not appear in the current application language ADAPT Importing a workflow with invalid data into an RU Organizer erroneously displays import success message When attempting to import a workflow containing invalid data into an RU Organizer, a message appears confirming the import was successful; whereas the workflow was not updated, even with the valid data ADAPT /40

18 Setup Translations in the Category Scenario editor are not saved In the Category Scenario editor, the translations of the long and extra-long descriptions of controls, automatic controls, sets of controls, subsets of controls, automatic formulas and dimensional analyses are not saved ADAPT System Technical log is buffered by default The technical log configured with the RollingFileAppender is buffered by default ADAPT Web Interface Lists of object types can be requested from the Web Server For some object types, it is possible to get the list of existing objects through a manual request to the Financial Consolidation Web Server Existing authorizations are not taken into account Several object types are impacted, such as the list of users ADAPT Entering javascript code in object labels causes the code to be executed It is possible to enter javascript code in an object label, causing it to be executed This could lead to a Cross Site scripting attack ADAPT Web client freezes when publishing a package with total lock on publication The web client freezes when publishing a package configured with Total for the lock on publication This only occurs in certain application languages ADAPT Cannot add a return in schedule header and footer if executing from the web If a carriage return is added to a schedule header or footer using the Add a return option in the Language and Formula Wizard, a <BR> tag is displayed instead when executing the schedule from the web client ADAPT /40

19 Support Package 02 Patch 01 Operation Copy/paste of reporting units from one scope to another fails It is not possible to copy and paste reporting units from an existing scope to another scope The following error message appears: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" ADAPT Scope export file in csv format generated with wrong separator When exporting a scope to a csv file, if a semicolon separator is specified, the file is generated instead with a comma separator ADAPT System Web Services do not work Web Services do not work after installing Financial Consolidation 10 Support Package 02 ADAPT Support Package 02 Patch 02 Internet Printing a report freezes the web client When you print a report, the web client freezes You have to end the process and disconnect the session in the ctadmin console ADAPT Support Package 03 11/40

20 Administration Preconsolidated data does not appear at the publication site even though the package status is Integrated When the options "Integrate after reception" and "Automatic transfer to the publication site" are selected for a package, the preconsolidated data does not appear at the publication site, even though the package status shows as integrated ADAPT Transfer task fails if over 2GB A transfer task with more than 2 GB cannot be executed New limit for transfer tasks is 4GB ADAPT Incorrect translation when application language is French Incorrect translation when application language is French When the application language is French, the access right Rich client access is not correctly translated to French ADAPT /40

21 Operation Impossible to open several nodes at a time in list of objects It is impossible to open several nodes at the same time in the right-hand list of objects in the Scope and Category Builder modules If you open a second node, the already opened node closes ADAPT Double-click to open nodes in list of objects You must double-click to open a node in the right-hand list of objects in the Scope and Category Builder modules, instead of a single click ADAPT Error occurs when running controls with the EXIST_COMMENT function An error occurs when running certain package controls containing the EXIST_COMMENT function The following message appears: "Error when running controls in the data engine" ADAPT Incorrect data after consolidation is run if cache is cleared Data is incorrect after running a consolidation if cache is cleared, because of sensitivity to cache memory ADAPT Manual journal entry period amounts are duplicated in multiperiod consolidations with option "Process periods consecutively" Manual journal entry period amounts are duplicated in multiperiod consolidations when the option Process periods consecutively is selected ADAPT Controls not run after package data import When importing data into a package from another package with controls options selected, the controls are not executed ADAPT Application freezes when closing large package The application freezes when closing a large package (more than 120,000 rows) and selecting another package ADAPT /40

22 Setup Dimensional analysis step in category scenario editor loads slowly The dimensional analysis step in the category scenario editor loads too slowly, especially when the category scenario contains a large number of dimensional analyses ADAPT Copy/paste log file in Dimension Builder contains no information When Lithuanian is the application language, the log file, coller_structurelog, that is generated after copying data from Excel to the Dimension Builder contains no meaningful information ADAPT System Connection to Financial Consolidation Web fails when logging in as a new external user When new external users, such as active directory users, log in to the Financial Consolidation Web client, they are prompted to change their password However, the system does not allow the password change and the connection fails ADAPT Web Interface Backslashes added to object descriptions at login If the description of the object selected in the filter by category, filter by reporting ID or filter by reporting unit contains a backslash (\), then additional backslashes are added after each login The number of backslashes grows exponentially and as a result, the definition column in the file ct_user_config is too voluminous and impacts the login and logout ADAPT Support Package 03 Patch 01 Cube Designer Star schema deployment from an Oracle DB to a SQL Server fails Deploying a star schema from an Oracle DB to a SQL Server does not work ADAPT Support Package 04 14/40

23 Administration Printing an analysis access definition containing the filter "Filter or no member" causes the reference member with the same ID to be printed instead of the filter When printing a Data entry - analysis access definition that has one dimension with the filter mode "Filter or no member", the reference member that has the same ID in the reference table is printed instead of the filter ADAPT Business Intelligence platform users cannot change their passwords Users connecting to Financial Consolidation Windows through the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform cannot change their passwords ADAPT Business Intelligence platform users cannot change their passwords Users connecting to Financial Consolidation Web through the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform cannot change their passwords ADAPT Cube Designer Technical names not usable When an error is generated in an SAP NetWeaver BW deployment, the technical names can no longer be used ADAPT Persistency issue on named sets when exporting a solution When exporting a solution containing named sets, then deleting some named sets, then saving, then exporting the solution again: the second export file contains all the named sets existing at the first export ADAPT Issue when Finance has less than 6 languages If the table ct_language of the Financial Consolidation database does not contain 6 languages, an error is raised while opening Cube Designer plugged to this Financial Consolidation database ADAPT [NWBI] Duplicated data in a cube containing several Request IDs When an SAP NetWeaver BI cube contains several Request IDs, and re-deploying the cube, only the first request ID is updated and duplicates data are generated ADAPT /40

25 General Translation issues when Lithuanian is the application langauge There are multiple translation issues when Lithuanian is the application langauge ADAPT Error message unclear when external user enters incorrect password If an external user enters an incorrect password when trying to connect to Financial Consolidation Windows, the error message displayed is not explicit: The secwinad security plugin is not enabled Contact your system administrator for details ADAPT Incorrect translation of item in node description in Japanese Incorrect translation of item in node description in Japanese After grouping items in a list in the List Properties editor, when Japanese is the application language the node description should use the same word for item following the number of items in the node, regardless of whether the node contains one or multiple items ADAPT Phantom connection still appears in CtAdmin Console after application crashes When a user is abruptly disconnected from Financial Consolidation Web, the phantom connection still appears in the CtAdmin Console, and the objects that were opened by the user are still in read-only mode 20 minutes later ADAPT Internet Cannot print manual journal entry history An error occurs when trying to print the history of a manual journal entry in Financial Consolidation Web The following message is displayed: No selection ADAPT Japanese characters are corrupted in ComplianceLink Japanese characters are corrupted in ComplianceLink Some Japanese characters are corrupted when using ComplianceLink in Financial Consolidation Web ADAPT /40

26 Operation Multi-user mode does not work with FIM and Financial Consolidation Even when multi-user mode is enabled for a package, it is not possible to import data into the package via FIM or enter data via Financial Consolidation An error message is displayed: An unknown error occurred ADAPT Setup Saving a version of a category scenario causes any reorganized flows or account families to be lost Saving a new version of a category scenario in which you ve reorganized flows or account families in the Flows behavior step causes the new organization order to be lost This happens when you save and close the updated category scenario, then reopen it to the Chart of accounts step and perform a Save as ADAPT Two new dimensions available The number of dimensions available has increased from 40 to 42: 22 product dimensions and 20 customer dimensions ADAPT Japanese translations for two different hierarchy selection methods are the same Japanese translations for two different hierarchy selection methods are the same In the hierarchy selection method dialog box for a report, the Japanese translations for the methods Descendants from startingpoint and Startingpoint children are the same ADAPT Installing a new service pack causes user interface labels to appear in the wrong language If installing a new service pack while using multiple language packs, the application language for the "Task List", "Task Scheduler" and "Task Monitor" tabs in the "Administration" domain are displayed in the wrong language, and the scopes and the category builder appear in English ADAPT /40

27 System CtServer crashes when trying to disconnect non-existent user session If you disconnect user sessions in the CtAdmin console when it has not been refreshed, the CtServer crashes if you try to disconnect a non-existent session ADAPT Additional loggers added to the transfer task technical log The following loggers were added to the transfer task technical log: - transfertaskengine - transfertaskarchive - transfertaskobject - transfertaskdata ADAPT /40
