15 Evolutions at Software level Archipel V2.0 New packaging. The Archipel Chain is installed from a unique rpm, which manages the other packages using dependencies. Update of the software and libraries used to process the sources. All the required libraries are compiled in the soft part; Independence from the OS. Update of the final product list, to fit with the new requirements of MESA project. Improvement of data processing 15

16 Evolutions at Software level Archipel V2.0 The dataflow between Acquisition PC and Archipel and Synergie has been reversed: FTP Data sending (push operation) from Acquisition PC (PC1) to Archipel and Synergie PCs (PC2 and PC3) has been replaced by an FTP get operation from PC2 and PC3 (these PCs initiate the connexions and collect the data from PC1). Deprecated satellite data and products have been removed from the applications configuration. 16

19 PUMA2015 Upcoming evolutions Phase 1 changes: MSG1 (METEOSAT 8) planned to replace METEOSAT 7 on primary IODC (Indian Ocean Coverage). PUMA 2015 systems will be able to process and visualize all the IODC products. new Tellicast, mainly configuration update and information to interested users for Access to Sentinel 3 L2 Products 19

20 New products acquisition Phase 2 changes: UKMO is planning to upgrade the Met Office Global Model from the current 25km resolution to 17km. The new 17km resolution files will be in GRIB2 format (instead of the current GRIB 1). Lake Victoria products OSI SAF SST Products : the format will change from GRIB to NETCDF (Parallel Diss of both formats till Dec 2016) Sea Ice SAF Products : The format will change from GRIB to NETCDF (date TBD) 20
