Transfer of ownership (of data, software, knowledge) from supplier to EC via ECMWF Services are expected to rely on existing research and capabilities (FP7/H2020, ESA CCI, national research programmes) Service contracts can address production, system upgrades, quality assurance, data services, user support, Non-competitive exceptions: Global reanalysis produced by ECMWF Multi-system seasonal forecast products produced by ECMWF (and contribution to it by ECMWF SF system) Reprocessed level-1b satellite data records provided by EUMETSAT 2

6 Climate Data Store Global Climate Projections (C3S_34a): Provision of support to one Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) node in Europe Multi-model product generation Roadmap toward a reference set of climate projections for Europe (EUCP) (3 contracts under negotiations) Regional Climate Projections (C3S_34b): Provide access to existing CORDEX simulations for European domains and to boundary conditions derived from GCM simulation through the CDS.
