1 What operating system is FltPlan Go available for? FltPlan Go is available on ios (ipad/iphone), Android, Windows 10, and Mac. How much does FltPlan Go cost/how many devices can you download it on? FltPlan Go is entirely free. FltPlan Go can be downloaded on an unlimited amount of devices. As long as you sign into your FltPlan account, all information will sync. Do I need an internet connection for FltPlan Go to work? No, FltPlan Go can be used while offline. Downloading charts, updating weather, filing a flight plan, and some other features require an internet connection. However, once the charts are downloaded and flight plan filed, these mapping features work offline for inflight use. What ipad do you recommend? We recommend any ipad running ios 10.0 or later. For capacity, we recommend 128GB and a Wi-Fi + Cellular model. If you get a Wi-Fi only model, you will need an external GPS/ADS-B device. What Android do you recommend? We recommend any Samsung device running Android 5.0 and up. We do not recommend Kindle Fire tablets or ASUS ZenPad devices running OS 6.0 and below due to a mapping software incompatibility. What are the minimum requirements to install FltPlan Go for ios or Android? FltPlan Go for ipad requires ios 10.0 and later to install. FltPlan Go for Android requires OS 5.0 and later to install. We have an older version of FltPlan Go, FP Legacy, for users on OS below 5.0. How do I stay signed in to FltPlan Go? Tap the Sign In button in the top right corner on the FltPlan.com, Maps, or NavLogs tab. Enter your Username and Password then tap Sign In. Can I create a flight plan in FltPlan Go? Yes, go to FltPlan.com tab and tap Create a Flight Plan. You can also save and file a flight plan on the Maps tab; tap Maps > Edit > Save/File. You can choose App or Web to file the flight plan. App will allow you to file the flight plan from within FltPlan Go. Web will take you to the New Flight Plan page on FltPlan.com.

2 How do I display Downloaded Maps? Why aren t my maps displaying? On the Maps tab, tap Options (settings wheel top left) > Downloaded Maps Only. If you are offline, make sure that the maps are downloaded first in Downloads > Maps. How do I update Expired Maps? Go to Downloads > Misc > and download the Airports Database file. Then, tap on Update All. Once you have updated all expired files, you can delete them within Downloads by tapping the Trashcan icon and tapping Delete All Expired. How do I delete Expired Files? Go to Downloads > Trashcan icon > tap Delete All Expired. Can I update to the latest ios? We generally have a two-week rule to test the latest ios for any bugs. We will post a message in Settings > Messages from FltPlan when it is safe to update. How do I connect to an external GPS device (Dual XGPS150, Bad Elf, Garmin Glo)? Connect to the unit via Bluetooth, then on the External page ensure you have Internal GPS source selected. How do I connect to an external ADS-B device? Connect your tablet to the ADS-B device via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In FltPlan Go, tap on External and select the ADS-B device. After the device is connected, go to Maps > ADS-B (top right) to enable Traffic and Weather. What Avionics or ADS-B devices does FltPlan Go connect to? FltPlan Go is compatible with many Avionics and ADS-B devices including Garmin, Stratus 3, Dynon, Avidyne, Dual, Stratux, and many more. To view a complete list, click here: Is FltPlan Go compatible with Stratus 3? Yes, FltPlan Go is compatible with Stratus 3 for ADS-B Traffic and Weather. FltPlan Go is not compatible with any other Stratus unit, due to these units being locked into an exclusive agreement with another EFB.

3 Does FltPlan Go support AHRS? FltPlan Go for ipad supports AHRS. To enable AHRS, go to Maps > Split Screen > Flight Instruments. FltPlan Go for Android does not currently support AHRS. We hope to include this feature for Android in the near future. How do I move Downloads to an SD card on Android? Go to Downloads > Storage Location (Folder icon - top right) > select Use External Storage > tap OK. All downloads after Use External Storage is selected will go to the SD card. After you have transferred your downloaded files to your SD card, you can click the Trash Can (Delete Downloaded Files) in the top right. Then you can delete the files from your internal storage. How do I delete Documents? Go to Downloads > Documents. Tap and hold on the document you want to delete then tap Delete. You can also go to Downloads > Delete Downloaded Files (trash bin icon top right) > Documents. What countries is FltPlan Go available for download in? FltPlan Go is available for download in North America. At this time, we have no immediate plans to expand outside of North America. If you are looking to view trip information for airports outside of North America, go to FltPlan.com > Flight Planning > Quick Info. How do I create Custom Waypoints? To create a Custom Waypoint, go to Maps > Edit > Waypoints > Add. Add a name and the latitude and longitude. A description is optional. How do I Direct To? You can Direct To a couple different ways. 1. Open Maps > Edit and tap on the fix and you will see a Direct To option. 2. Rubber-band the route (tap and hold on the map) until you see an Add to Route box display. Tap on the down arrow (V) next to the fix and select Direct To. How do I edit a flight plan in FltPlan Go? Go to Maps > Edit to edit the route. You can edit by typing a new fix or rubber-banding the route to add fixes. To delete a fix, tap on the fix and tap Delete. To save the route, tap on Save.

4 How do I display the HUD in Maps? Tap and hold on the green square icon (bottom right of Maps) and slide left. To change information on the HUD, tap on the title and select the category that you want to display including: Altitude, Bearing (Next), Dist. (Next), Distance (Dest), ETE, Lat/Long, Magnetic Course, Speed (kts), Speed (mph), and True Course. Does FltPlan Go offer Split Screen? Yes, to enable Split Screen, go to Maps or NavLogs and tap on Split Screen Options (two horizontal arrows blue background). Tap on the screen that you wish to view alongside Maps or NavLogs. How do I connect to XM Weather? XM Weather works with our app if you own the XM Weather Receiver and the Baron Mobile Link device. Without the Mobile Link device there is no way to get the XM subscription to our app. Can I overlay an approach plate on the Map? Yes, you can overlay an approach plate on the map in a couple different ways. 1. Tap on the arrival airport and select View Procedures. Tap on the approach to overlay on the map. 2. Enable the Airports layer, go to Maps > Layers > Airports. Tap on an airport icon on the map and select View Procedures. Note: only geo-referenced approaches will display on the map. There will be a Procedure Options menu (bottom right) that will allow you to adjust the approach. How do I determine if my charts are up to date? You can determine this in a couple different ways. 1. Go to Downloads and check that the icons display green, a green icon means that the charts are current. 2. Go to Airports > Procedures to view a procedure. The dates will be listed on the right and left side of the chart. 3. Go to Downloads > Delete Downloaded Files (trash bin icon top right) and select Maps. You will see the expiration date listed. I do not see the connectivity option for Jeppesen FD. Why is it not displaying? The Jeppesen FD transfer feature will only work if that N# is selected and there is a current or future flight plan. To enable your N#, go to FltPlan.com > Settings > Edit Aircraft List and select Jepp FD and tap Save Changes. Any flight plans will have to be updated (Quick Change) to reflect these changes.

5 Where are the Legends of Sectionals and other documents located? To find these documents, go to Downloads > Documents and download the file that you need. Once you download this file, go to Binders > My Binders (top center button) and select Documents. Tap on the file to expand. What is MOS? MOS forecasts include important and practical details necessary for pre-flight planning such as temperature, ceiling height, visibility, wind speed & direction, the probability of precipitation, and the precipitation type. These forecasts provide weather data up to four days out, presented in 3-hour windows and refreshed hourly. How do I import Custom Waypoints or Map Layers? Custom waypoints can be imported in KMZ, KML, or CSV format. To do this, click on the file in your device and it will automatically import and open into FltPlan Go. Custom Maps can be imported using itunes. Go to Maps > Map Options (top left) > and tap on Custom Waypoint Files or Custom Map Layers. Note: Importing these files is currently available on ios only.
