To activate fiber mode This module includes the ability to be used as a standalone device or with SOARNEX s 19 system chassis (EM116). When used with fiber from 550 meters to 80 kilometers when utilizing single-mode fiber. Compliant with IEEE BASE0T, IEEE802.3u 100BASE-TX, IEEE 802.3ab 1000BASE-T, IEEE802.3z 1000BASE-SX/LX Gigabit Ethernet Standards. Provides one 10/100/1000BASE-T port, one mini-gbic port supporting either multi-mode or single-mode fiber. Supports 100BASE-FX, 1000BASE-SX and 1000BASE-LS SFP modules. Support Full-Duplex and auto-negotiation mode for Fiber port. Front panel diagnostic LED indications. Provide Dip Switch to setting: Fiber (auto/force mode), LLR (Enable/Disable). 6 EM116&200 Network Management Module and Chassis System The Management Module provides the brain of the Chassis systems ( EM116 ) for SORNEX s media converter family. It features a 32-bit, high performance RISC microprocessor executing a real-time operating system. It supports the SNMP Manage, WEB-base management and console management. EM116 & 200 During normal operation, the EM200 polls all converters and power supplies within its domain each fresh time which is software configurable, collecting status and module information as well as setting required parameters. It reports its collected status via the SNMP, WEB, Telnet or Console. The EM200 is password protected to prevent unauthorized access. New module software updates to the EM200 can be downloaded during normal network operation via web or tftp.
