1 Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology (ICT60515) This document provides the details for the Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology. To use the study plans in this document you must apply for and receive an offer for the Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology. There are a number of possible study plans with the recommended study plan having the following key features: The Advanced Diploma contains a combination of Networking, Programming and Web Development skills. If you are only interested in one field of specialisation, such as Networking, Programming or Web Development this is NOT the qualification for you. You should refer to our specialised Diplomas, in particular: Advanced Diploma of Network Security Diploma of Website Development Diploma of Software Development The recommended study plan will take a new student with previous fundamental IT experience (such as would be gained with a Certificate II in IT) but no specialised IT experience 2 years to complete. This plan includes the necessary specialised underpinning skills and knowledge for the Advanced Diploma component. In the Networking content there is a focus on the CISCO CCNA curriculum, an introduction to Network Security and Windows Server Administration. In the Web content there is a focus on using HTML5 and JavaScript to develop dynamic web pages, and mobile website development. In the Programming content there is a focus on mobile application development with a HTML5 development subject and, an Android mobile development subject with Java. WorkReady This course is subsidised under WorkReady and is eligible for VET Fee Help. There will be an upfront payment required for this course. There are eligibility criteria for receiving WorkReady subsidy and VET Fee Help. ALL STUDENTS IRRESPECTIVE OF PREVIOUS STUDIES WILL BE REQUIRE TO DO THE CORE SKILLS PROFILE FOR ADULTS (CSPA) BEFORE THEY ARE ELIGBLE FOR WORKREADY SUBSIDY.
