2 1. Overview 1. Before you begin: 1.1. Business Gateway will only work for Evolution versions of v6.82 or higher This is because Gateway uses SDK and hence there are separate installs for version 6.82 and IIS 6 or higher must be installed Dot Net Framework 4.5 must be installed The database must be set to use SQL authentication Ensure that the user that you are using for setup purposes is an Administrator. 2. What is Business Gateway: 2.1. Provide web access to Evolution agents and customers 2.2. Adds web access to CRM and certain accounting functionality 2. Install IIS 1. On Desktop Windows: 1.1. Add/Remove Programs(Programs & Features) 1.2. Turn Windows Features On/Off 2. On Windows Server: 2.1. Start > Admin Tools > Server Manager 2.2. Features > Turn Features On/Off 3. Ensure all options are selected under IIS

4 4. Install Dot Net Framework Ensure that Dot Net Framework 4.5 is installed. It can be found on the Evolution Install Disk as well. 2. On older operating systems, the system defaults to Dot Net v2. 3. Dot Net 4.5 sometimes reflects as v Download Business Gateway 1. Version Version Grant permissions for Gateway folder 1. Extract the compressed file into your preferred folder e.g. c:\gateway7\ 2. Grant permissions for web.config file as well as the Admin folder. Ensure that the Scripts folder with the Admin folder inherits the permissions from the Admin folder. 3. Right click on the file/folder, select Properties. 4. Select the Security tab and allow full control for the User groups.

6 6. Create site in IIS 1. Browse to IIS: 1.1. Either Search All Programs and Files for IIS or 1.2. Start > Right click on My Computer > Manage > Services and Applications > IIS Manager 2. Expand the Server name 3. To add the New Site: 3.1. Right Click on Sites > Add Web Site 3.2. Add Web site details: 3.3. Add the website name and path to the folder you shared 3.4. Ensure to allow for an open port on the firewall. By default port 80 is selected, alternatively you can select another port that you know is not being used.

7 7. Create an Application Pool 1. In IIS Manager, expand the server name. 2. Right Click on Application Pools > Add Application Pool 3. Insert a new name for the Gateway App Pool 4. Link.net 4.5 or to the Application Pool and save You have now successfully installed Business Gateway. Time to Login!

8 8. Browse Setup.aspx for Setup & Admin Zone 1. Browse to your Content view on the Gateway site. 2. Right Click on Setup.aspx and Admin.aspx to setup the database 3. The default password for Business Gateway for the Admin Agent is: Admin Insert your SQL authentication details and login to setup

10 9. Login for Customer & Supplier Zones 1. To login to the customer and supplier zone, browse to the Customer.aspx and Supplier.aspx zones respectively. 2. On the link, you will need to add:?companyid=2 where 2 is the ID of the company so that you can login directly to that company. 3. For example: 4. This applies for both Customers and Suppliers

11 10. Troubleshooting FAQ s 1. Error: "The entry Gateway has already been created" Solution: The web.config file has already been modified copy an empty one back 2. My SMTP/ wasn't set up how can I get the password? Solution: The first time round the system always sets the password to Admin123 (case sensitive) 3. I ran the "reset password" option, but my SMTP wasn t set up yet, how can I get the password? Solution: Look for the file in the c:\intepub\mailroot\queue folder 4. I get an error: CVT1108: cannot open C:\Windows\TEMP\RES8C6.tmp for writing Solution: Grant read/write permission for the user to c:\windows\temp 5. I have.net4.5 installed and can see it under Programs and Features but can only see.net v2 in my application pool. Solution: Run the Administrative command prompt: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v \aspnet_regiis.exe -i
