The Server Mainframe region goes into a loop and consumes excessive amounts of CPU. The Server Mainframe region becomes non-responsive. Only allow Datacom Server applications to access the same TCP/IP port used by the Server Mainframe region. CA Datacom Server Version 14.0 CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 DBSRV 665 ========================================================================== MF: EXTERNAL SECURITY VIOLATION ON DDD IN MULTI-USER A security violation occurs in CA Datacom Multi-User Facility (MUF) when a CA Datacom Server task requests a table list or column list and the Multi-User Facility is externally secured. The symptoms may vary depending on the external security package and the way in which security is defined in the environment. The error message indicates the user does not have read access to the DDD table in DBID 15. In the case for which the problem was reported, the Top Secret error is as follows: TSS7250E 136 J=mufjob A=userid TYPE=DTTABLE RESOURCE=cxxnm.DB00015.DDD The request for the table list in the ODBC or JDBC application fails. Neither the Datacom Server region nor the Datacom Multi-User Facility region is affected. Allow read access to the DDD table in DBID 15 for all Datacom Server users. Run SVCOMPR using CCI instead of TCP/IP. CA Datacom Server Version 14.0 CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 DBSRV 673 ========================================================================== MF: MUF_EOJ_OK DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY The CA Datacom Server Mainframe region has MUF_EOJ_OK=YES defined in the Mainframe Server (SVDBSPR) STARTUP Options, and the Datacom/DB Multi_User Facility (MUF) option X_EOJ_OK_S_DELAY is defined with a valid value. When an EOJ is issued for the Multi-User Facility region, the EOJ is deferred until the Server Mainframe region is terminated. The X_EOJ_OK_S_DELAY option in the Multi-User Facility is not honored. An EOJ must also be issued to the CA Datacom Server Mainframe region. CA Datacom Server Version 15.0 DBSRV 674 ========================================================================== MF: SHUTDOWN GETS DSV00138E ERRNO 122 AND GOES INTO LOOP The CA Datacom Server Mainframe region receives an EOJ request. During the shutdown of TCP/IP, the Server Mainframe region goes into a loop. This problem occurs when the TCP/IP region is brought down prior to the completion of the EOJ process in the Server Mainframe region. The following message is repeatedly written to the SYSPRINT: DSV00138E-SER:... errno 122, EDC5122I Input/output error. The Server Mainframe region becomes non-responsive. Run Datacom Server with PROTOCOL=CCI in the startup options. The abend is a S0C4 in module SVDBSPR or other unpredictable results. The abend will bring down the Server Mainframe region. The CA Datacom Multi-User Facility is not affected.
