Certain applications, specifically including VSAM/T jobs, abend with a S0C4 in module DBINRPR. Applications meeting the above conditions do not execute successfully. None. CA Datadictionary utility DDTRSLM cannot be executed without the correct DDVPEFT VPE batch file table containing an entry for "SYSPRINL". None. Inspection of the DDTRSLM exported file (TRANSF) shows that the SQL "CREATE" or "ALTER" command for the object contains leading blanks or low-values (x'00'). After importing an SQL object using DDTRSLM, the structure cannot be found in the DataDictionary database, nor when attempting to use the object in SQL (a -14 SQL Return Code is encountered). The impact is dependent on the situation. There are a couple of workarounds. There are a couple of workarounds: 1. The object can be defined using DBSQLPR or the Online SQL feature of DataDictionary Online (DDOL). 2. The DDTRSLM exported file (TRANSF) can be modified to remove any leading blanks ahead of the "CREATE" or "ALTER" statement for the object in question. This can only occur if all of the following conditions are met: 1) The prior execution of the MUF did not perform a successful EOJ, so that the current MUF must perform a RESTART. 2) NORESTART is specified for one or more DBIDs (but not all) in the MUF startup options. 3) There was an active transaction at the time of the prior MUF failure which must now be rolled back, and that active transaction included maintenance requests against the NORESTART DBID and also a DBID which is not subject to NORESTART. MUF aborts with a S0C4 while processing a RESTART ROLBK. This S0C4 may occur in module DBUPDPR. The forward phase of the MUF RESTART completes, and MUF enables, but this is then followed by a MUF failure and outage. None, if NORESTART is needed and it cannot be specified for all the DBIDs in the transaction that needs to be rolled back. However, this is not recommended.
