5 1 enet SMART HOME system The enet server s the heart of every enet SMART HOME system and offers end customers the bass for an easy-to-use and secure Smart Home and nstallaton engneers easly understandable and professonal commssonng of the system. The commssonng nterface, whch s accessed va a web browser, offers functons such as: - Devce search for addng devces - Devce localsaton for clear dentfcaton - Resettng the devce to the default settng - Confgurng the devce - Programmng connectons between devces - Measurement of the sgnal qualty for error dagnoss - Recordng of telegrams for error dagnoss - Devce and server update In everyday operaton, the enet server provdes the end customer wth functons such as: - Smartphone operaton va the enet SMART HOME app - Secure remote access va the app - Automatc executon of If-Then rules - Actvaton of devce groups va scenes usng the app or wall/hand-held transmtter - Automatc tme-based control of devces - Provson of measurement data, such as energy consumpton and actuator states, such as lght and Venetan blnd, for the app An enet SMART HOME system conssts of the followng devces: - enet actuators for the executon of actons, such as swtchng or dmmng of loads - enet sensors for operaton on the devce or recordng envronmental data - enet server as the central unt - RMD power supply The followng devces are requred for commssonng and operaton of the enet system usng the app: - Smartphone or tablet for operaton va the enet SMART HOME app - WF-compatble router for operaton va the enet SMART HOME app - Computer for commssonng va 1.1 System requrements enet SMART HOME app For app nstallaton, a smartphone wth the operatng system Androd (Verson 4.4 or hgher) or OS (Verson 9.3 or hgher s requred). At least the followng requrements must be fulflled to use the commssonng nterface: - Mn. screen resoluton 1366x768 (web browser n full-screen mode) - WF adapter of standard IEEE g (only for use wth WF) - The computer and enet server belong to the same network (network component of the IP addresses s dentcal) - Allow cookes n the web browser (ths s preset n the web browser by default) - Actvate the cache n the web browser (ths s preset n the web browser by default) - Web browser wth JavaScrpt and HTML5 support (Internet Explorer, Frefox, Google Chrome or EDGE) We recommend usng the current web browser verson. 1.2 Commssonng va Commssonng of an enet system takes place n a few steps. enet SMART HOME system Page 5 of 55

6 enet SMART HOME system 1. Settng up a network connecton Set up the network connecton between the enet server and the computer va a router. Addressng s preset va DHCP. 2. Enterng the IP address Open the web browser and enter the IP address of the enet server n the address lne of the web browser. The IP address of the enet server can be read off n the app or n the router. 3. Loggng nto the enet server Enter your user name and password n the log-n screen. Username: admn Password: admn 4. Programmng connectons Implementaton n the Connectons vew or n the System overvew Fgure 1: Commssonng wth the enet server - At a glance As soon as a connecton s programmed, the connecton n the enet system s actve and the enet devces connected va rado can be operated. enet SMART HOME app: As soon as a buldng structure has been created, a devce downloaded, a room added and ts channels named, use n the app s possble. The commssonng of an enet system wth the enet server s descrbed n detal n the followng chapters. There s a chapter for each vew descrbng the commssonng steps and the functons of the approprate vew. 7 Desktop commssonng wth catalogue devces The frst step of the plannng and commssonng of an enet system can also be carred out at the desk usng catalogue devces, wthout actual devces from the system. In a later workstep, the catalogue devces can be replaced wth the real devces from the system va a devce search. Any prevously made settngs are appled. Addtonal parameters In addton to the settngs made on the devce, other parameters can be set on all enet devces va the enet server, e.g. actuator behavour after voltage return. The parameters to be set are dependent on the type of devce. In the commssonng nterface, descrptons of the ndvdual parameters can be recalled usng the ē button. Energy sensors Energy sensors can be ntegrated nto the project for determnng voltage, current and energy values. These values can be vewed va the app or can be used as an nput condton for automated controllers n If-Then rules. Troubleshootng Durng commssonng, t s possble to measure the sgnal strength of transmtters. The sgnal arrvng at the recever s evaluated. Sgnal qualty measurements can be performed for all enet devces connected va the enet Server. The qualty of the sgnal s shown usng colour codng accordng to the traffc lght prncple. In ths way, for example, the mountng locaton can be checked drectly and, f necessary, changed, or a repeater can be deployed. If faults occur durng operaton of an enet system, telegrams can be recorded for a specfc perod of tme and exported for evaluaton. The troubleshootng tools are located n the Dagnostcs vew. Subsequent changes n the project Even after a project has been completed, the commssonng nterface can be used to make changes to the enet system at any tme, such as addng new devces, supplementng connectons or changng devce settngs. Update of the devce software Updates to the devces can be performed va the enet server. Updates for devce, catalogue and server software are suppled bundled n an update fle, whch can be loaded nto the system settngs of the enet server and then nstalled (see chapter 5.1. Carry out update). Should the fle also contan devce updates, then these can be programmed nto the devces va the enet server after executon of the update. 1.3 Operaton va enet SMART HOME app Usng the enet SMART HOME app, operaton of the enet system s possble wth a smartphone. enet SMART HOME system Scene creaton n the app s not possble for as long as a user s logged nto the commssonng nterface. All the other functons can stll be used n the app and enet devces operated. The followng nformaton from the commssonng nterface s dsplayed n the app: - Buldng structure (see chapter 7. 8 enet SMART HOME system To mplement tme controllers n conjuncton wth astro functons, the locaton and date and tme must be set n the system settngs (see chapter 6. Frst steps n the commssonng of an enet system) Procedure: The enet SMART HOME app can be downloaded from the Tunes App Store (OS) and the Google Play Store (Androd). o Install the app from the store on the smartphone. o Connect the smartphone to the network va a router. o Connect the enet server to the network va a router. o Open the app and connect wth the enet server. If multple enet servers are located n the same network, the app shows a selecton menu of the enet servers wth the IP address and the SERIAL. Wth enet servers of Verson 2.0 or hgher, the SERIAL s prnted on the devce and can also be found n the system settngs. o Enter your user name and password. The user name and the password are controlled va the user admnstraton (see chapter 4. The user admnstraton). o Select Connect to enet Server to start the app. Page 8 of 55

9 2 Commssonng the enet server Commssonng the enet server 2.1 Settng up the connecton to the enet server A wred network connecton (LAN) va a router s requred for the frst commssonng of the enet Server. Addressng takes place automatcally va DHCP. In the as-delvered state, the enet Server s approprately preconfgured. The network confguraton can be modfed usng the buttons of the enet Server to LAN wth fxed IP address and LAN wth DHCP, see the operatng manual of the enet Server. There are varous optons for connectng the commssonng nterface of the enet server, whch are descrbed below. Precondton: The enet Server s mounted, the power supply s connected and any external antennas are connected - see the operatng manual of the enet server. If, as when delvered, the settng "DHCP" s selected n the network settngs, t s essental to ensure that the enet server s connected to a router wth DHCP server. If the enet server s connected to a computer drectly, then both devces wll obtan an auto IP, whch s not then known to the user. As a consequence of ths, t mght not be possble to access the start page of the enet server. Connecton va IP address, obtaned from the enet SMART HOME app Precondton: The app s nstalled on the smartphone, the enet server and smartphone are connected n the same network va a WF router. o Open the app. The IP address of the enet server can be found on the Home page and n the System menu of the app. o Set up the network connecton between the enet Server and the computer va a WF router. o Open the web browser. o Enter the IP address of the enet Server n the address lne of the web browser. The log-n screen of the enet Server s opened n the web browser. Connecton va IP address, obtaned from the router o Set up the network connecton between the enet Server and the computer va a router. o Open the web browser. The IP address of the enet server s assgned by the router (DHCP settng) and can also be read off n the user nterface of the router, e.g. wth a Frtzbox, va the IP address "frtz.box" and then "Home network/home network overvew". o Enter the IP address of the enet Server n the address lne of the web browser. Connecton va doman name of the enet Server Precondton: The router has an ntegrated DNS server (see chapter Basc prncples). o Set up the network connecton between the enet Server and the computer va a router. o Open the web browser. o Enter the enet server n the address bar of the web browser. Wth some routers, the host name of the router must also be entered, e.g. enetserver.frtz.box. The log-n screen of the enet Server s opened n the web browser. Set up the connecton va network settngs (UPnP) Precondton: The computer supports UPnP. Only applcable for the Wndows operatng system. o Set up the network connecton between the enet Server and the computer va a router. o Start the computer and open Wndows Explorer. Page 9 of 55

10 o o Open the network. The enet server s lsted there. Double-clck the entry. The log-n screen of the enet Server s opened n the web browser. Commssonng the enet server 2.2 Secure connecton Encrypted communcaton va an https protocol can be used for the secure connecton between enet server and computer wthn a home network. The connecton s set up usng a securty certfcate. The securty certfcate can be vewed va the web browser. When the connecton s establshed for the frst tme, a warnng message appears, s generated by the web browser. In some web browsers, ths warnng message must be confrmed once n order to set up the connecton. Some web browsers have been set so that the warnng message appears and has to be confrmed durng each access. Ths settng can be made n the system settngs of the enet server n the Network. A connecton va an https protocol s sensble, for example, f the enet server s ntegrated n an open WF network or n a WF network wth poor protecton (e.g. WEP) or n a publc WF/LAN network. 2.3 Loggng on and deletng users If the connecton between the enet Server and computer has been establshed, the log-on screen of the enet Server wll appear. Only the user admn can log onto the commssonng nterface. A maxmum of eght users can log onto the enet server va the enet SMART HOME app. For as long as the user admn s logged onto the commssonng nterface, no scenes can be created n the enet SMART HOME app and none can be saved after edtng. All the other functons can stll be used n the app and enet devces operated. Page 10 of 55

11 Log-on as user Durng frst log-on of the admnstrator, "admn" must be entered both as the username and password. For securty reasons, the password should then be changed. The admnstrator has authorsatons to access the commssonng desktop, the user admnstraton, the enet SMART HOME app and the system settngs of the enet server. If a user logs on, then access to the user admnstraton, the enet SMART HOME app and, dependng on authorsaton, the system settngs s possble (see chapter 4. The user admnstraton). If the Stay logged on opton s enabled, then the user does not need to log on agan when accessng agan. If the last access s seven or more days n the past, then a new log-on wll be requred, even f the checkmark s set. The user s also logged out on the log-on screen. 2.4 Select language For the commssonng nterface, system settngs and user admnstraton, t s possble to choose between the languages German, Englsh and Dutch n the logon screen (Fgure 2). The language swtchover has no effect on the language of the enet SMART HOME app. The language of the app s set automatcally va the system language of the smartphone. If a language s not yet avalable n the app, Englsh wll be used automatcally for the app. 2.5 Usernames and passwords n the enet SMART HOME Commssonng the enet server For securty reasons, dfferent users are gven dfferent rghts n the enet SMART HOME. A dstncton s generally made between the nstallaton engneer (admn), the users of the enet system, the optonal onlne servce (remote access) and the separate project password, whch s only requred on mportng and exportng the project fle of an encrypted enet system. In detal, these are: - An admnstrator wth the fxed user name "admn" and a password to log onto the enet SMART HOME app, user admnstraton, the system settngs and the commssonng nterface - Multple users wth ndvdual user names and passwords for loggng onto the enet SMART HOME app, the user admnstraton and the system settngs - A my.enet-smarthome.de user account wth e-mal address as a user name and password to enable optonal remote access - A project password to export/mport the project fle of an enet system wth actvated encrypton If there s a factory reset of the enet Server, all the created users are deleted. The passwords of the admnstrator and default user are reset to the default settngs (see chapter 4. The user admnstraton) and (see chapter 5.3. Perform a factory reset of the enet server). The user data for remote access s not reset. Ths s only possble at my.enet-smarthome.de. An exported project fle wth actve encrypton can also be remported after a factory reset. The password ndvdually ssued durng the export s requred for ths. The passwords of the users and the admnstrator can be reset to the default settng usng the buttons of the enet Server, see the operatng manual of the enet Server. Page 11 of 55

15 4 The user admnstraton New profles can be created and exstng profles managed n the user admnstraton. A dstncton s made between the roles "Admnstrator", "User wth authorsaton for settngs of the enet server" and "App user". Rghts of the "Admnstrator": - Access to the commssonng nterface ncl. system settngs and user admnstraton - Access authorsaton to the app for the operaton and confguraton of the enet system - Create and delete user profles - Assgn and remove authorsaton for settngs of the enet server - Change passwords of users and ther own password - Can obtan remote access for the app, commssonng nterface, system settngs and user admnstraton No further admnstrator can be created. The name cannot be changed. On frst log-on, the password s admn and should be changed mmedately. Authorsatons of the "Users wth authorsaton for settngs of the enet server": - Access authorsaton for the system settngs and user admnstraton - Access authorsaton to the app for the operaton and confguraton of the enet system - Assgn and remove authorsaton for settngs of the enet server - Create and delete user profles - Change passwords of users and ther own password - Can obtan remote access for the app, system settngs and user admnstraton A user wth authorsaton for settngs of the enet server has already been created (username: user, password: user). Addtonal users can be created. We recommend not creatng more than ten users. There must be at least one user wth ths authorsaton. Rghts of "App users": - Access authorsaton to the app for the operaton of the enet system - Changng your own password n the user admnstraton - Can obtan remote access for the app and user admnstraton Multple users can be created. We recommend not creatng more than ten users. 4.1 Creatng, changng or deletng a user profle The user admnstraton Procedure: o Start the user admnstraton by pressng the Ő button n the log-on screen. The user admnstraton can also be opened va the menu ĕ or n the frst commssonng wndow (see chapter 6. Frst steps n the commssonng of an enet system). o Select New user. The Create new user wndow s opened. o Enter your user name and password twce. o If necessary, select User may change settngs for access authorsaton to the confguraton va the app and the system settngs. The user profle s created wth Confrm. Select the Ĕ button to change a profle. Dependng on the authorsaton, passwords and the User may change settngs settng may be changed. Select the Đ button to delete a profle. Page 15 of 55

16 5 System settngs of the enet server The wndow for the system settngs of the enet server s opened usng the Ĕ button n the log-on screen. It s also possble to swtch to the system settngs va the ĕ n the menu bar of the commssonng nterface. The followng actons can be performed on the tabs of the system settngs: - Perform an update of the enet server - Dsablng buttons on the enet server - Reset enet server - Set date and tme - Select the nstallaton locaton - Perform network settngs - Set up a connecton va https (see chapter 2.2. Secure connecton ) - Confgurng remote access to the enet Server va the Internet The verson of the enet server can be seen on the General tab. 5.1 Carry out update In the General tab, an update of the enet server can be loaded and performed. Updates of the enet Server, commssonng nterface, the devce software and the catalogues can be contaned n the update. The current software verson of the enet server can be downloaded from our webste as a zp archve. The fle for the update of the enet server wth the fle endng *.uf s avalable n the zp archve. System settngs of the enet server Durng a devce update, the connecton between the computer and enet Server must be mantaned and the web browser must reman open wth the commssonng nterface durng the complete update operaton. Ths s partcularly mportant for an update of battery-powered enet devces and to dsplay messages whch can appear durng the operaton. For ths reason, ensure that the computer does not swtch off automatcally durng the perod of the update or swtches to the standby state and that that the computer s suppled wth power va a power supply unt. The power supply must not be nterrupted durng a server update snce ths could then result n faults of the enet server. If there are updates for the devce software after a server update, they are dsplayed n the system overvew and can be performed there. Devce updates can be performed for a maxmum of eght dentcal devces smultaneously. Before performng a server update, the project should always be backed up usng the Export project functon. The actual update must always be performed manually. The loadng of an update fle can be performed manually or partly automatcally. The settngs for ths can be made n the Update procedure lst: Manual download An update must be searched for and the update fle uploaded to the enet server wth the Manual download settng. Upload update fle manually o To select the update fle (e.g. from a USB stck), select the č button. o Select the Start button to upload the update fle to the enet Server and to start the update. Uploadng the update fle from the Internet o Select the Search button to search for an update on our webste. If an update fle s avalable, ths s dsplayed behnd Onlne update. o If an update s avalable, select the Start button to upload the update fle to the enet Server and to start the update. Page 16 of 55

17 Automatc search Wth the Automatc search settng, an update s searched for on our webste automatcally at regular ntervals. If an update s avalable, then t s dsplayed n the system settngs n the General tab behnd Onlne update and n the System overvew. o If an update s avalable, select the Start button to upload the update fle to the enet Server and to start the update. Automatc download Wth the Automatc download settng, an update s searched for on our webste automatcally at regular ntervals. If an update s avalable, the update fle s uploaded automatcally to the enet Server and dsplayed n the General tab behnd Onlne update. o If an update s avalable, select the Start button to start the update Mgratng project after a server update System settngs of the enet server The update of an enet Server can potentally support a new devce type or enable new performance features for exstng devces. These performance features must be transferred to the project. Ths s done by the mgraton of the project to the new server verson. After an update, the project s loaded and mgrated automatcally. The mgraton of a project cannot be undone. For ths reason, before performng a server update and the subsequent automatc project mgraton, a project backup should always be performed. The Export project functon s used for ths. 5.2 Dsablng local operaton on the enet server Operaton va the buttons of the enet server can be prevented usng the Lock local operaton functon n the General tab. It s stll possble to restart the enet Server by pressng the button for a longer perod of tme (press RESTART button longer than 10 seconds). 5.3 Perform a factory reset of the enet server The enet server can be reset to the default settng usng the Reset enet server functon on the General tab. At the same tme, all project-related data, users and passwords are deleted. The network confguraton s reset to the wred connecton va LAN wth addressng va DHCP. The software state of the enet Server ncl. catalogue remans ntact. After a successful reset, the log-on screen appears. Alternatvely, only the network confguraton, all users ncl. passwords can selectvely be reset or the project can be deleted n a targeted fashon usng the buttons on the enet server (see enet server operatng manual). 5.4 Set date and tme The system tme of the enet server, consstng of the date and tme, can be entered manually or synchronsed nternally at a defned tme usng a tme server, the so-called NTP server (NTP: Network Tme Protocol). The system tme of the enet server s necessary for telegram recordng and for tme control usng the enet SMART HOME app. The followng optons are avalable for settng the system tme of the enet server: - Manually enter tme: Enter the tme and date n the approprate text boxes and select the tme zone - Apply system tme from computer: Select the Transfer current tme button - Use tme server: Select the Automatc tme (Internet) functon and, f necessary, specfy two tme servers. Two tme servers are preset, whch can be used. A tme s set for the tme of daly synchronsaton. - Take summer tme nto account: Summer tme can be actvated manually (Summer tme functon) or automatcally (Summer tme automatc functon). If automatc actvaton s selected and summer tme s currently beng used, then the Summer tme functon s set automatcally, meanng that the two functons are selected. Page 17 of 55

18 The Summer tme automatc functon only takes summer and wnter tmes wthn the EU nto account. When usng the tme server, a tme zone must be selected, n order to adjust the tme accordng to the tme zone. 5.5 Enter the nstallaton locaton On the Locaton tab, the Installaton locaton can be selected from a lst or the coordnates can be entered manually. Specfyng the locaton takes seasonal sunrse and sunset tmes nto account. The specfcaton of the nstallaton locaton s necessary for tme controllers va the enet SMART HOME app n conjuncton wth the astro functon. 5.6 Network settngs A wred network connecton (LAN) va a router s requred for the frst commssonng of the enet Server. Addressng takes place automatcally va DHCP. In the as-delvered state, the enet Server s approprately preconfgured.(see chapter 2.1. Settng up the connecton to the enet server). If frst commssonng of the enet server has taken place, varous settngs such as addressng va the fxed IP address and wreless connecton va WF can be be made n the system settngs on the Network tab Addressng The connecton to the enet server can also be made usng a fxed IP address. The correspondng IP address, subnet mask and standard gateway of the enet Server are stored n the system settngs (see table), where they can be changed and actvated. If the fxed IP address s set as addressng, a DNS server must be stated, so that all the servces of the enet Server functon. When usng a router wth an ntegrated DNS address, the router address s stated as the DNS server. If the router used has no ntegrated DNS server, then the address of the DNS server of the Internet provder must be entered. The enet server can be set to "Addressng va fxed IP address wth LAN" usng the buttons on the enet server (see operatng manual of the enet server). IP parameters IP address Subnet mask Standard gateway WF settngs System settngs of the enet server After frst commssonng of the enet server, the network connecton can also be wreless. The WF parameters of the enet server must be set accordngly n the system settngs on the Network tab. Procedure: o Select WF actve. o Enter the SSID name of your network. o Select the encrypton type. o Enter the WF network key. Ths unque key must be used n every devce equpped wth a WF adapter n the selected rado network. The LAN cable must be removed for the wreless connecton va WF. Page 18 of 55

19 System settngs of the enet server The connecton to the enet server can also be made usng a fxed IP address, f the addressng has been confgured correctly (see chapter Addressng). Addressng can be selected va a router wth DHCP (see chapter 2.1. Settng up the connecton to the enet server) Basc prncples IP address Each subscrber must have a unque IP address n order to be accessble n a network. Subnet mask To dstngush between the ndvdual networks, the IP address s dvded nto the network component and the devce component. The network component addresses the network and the devce component addresses the network subscrbers (e.g. PC or enet server). Whch part of the IP address belongs to the network component and whch to the devce component s determned by the subnet mask. DHCP The enet server can be addressed usng a fxed IP address or, f a router wth an ntegrated DHCP server s connected, usng a DHCP (Dynamc Host Confguraton Protocol). Wth DHCP, network settngs of the ndvdual termnals, such as the IP addresses, can be coordnated automatcally and confgured centrally by the DHCP server (e.g. router n a home network). When DHCP s actvated, each tme the power supply s swtched on, the enet server requests ts IP address of the DHCP server, along wth the correspondng parameters such as subnet mask, standard gateway and, f necessary, DNS address. DNS Server If the router has a DNS server, the IP address of the enet server s not always requred. The enet server can be accessed va ts doman name. The DNS server, whch stored the assgnment of doman name and IP address, ensures the connecton between the enet server and the computer. 5.7 Remote access to the enet server Remote access to the enet server va the Internet s possble usng remote access. Remote access allows access to the commssonng nterface, the system settngs and the user admnstraton. In addton, remote access to the enet system s possble va the enet SMART HOME app. For ths, once-only user regstraton at my.enet-smarthome.de s requred. Then, remote access must be actvated ether va the system settngs of the enet server or usng the enet SMART HOME app. If actvaton takes place va the app, then remote access for the smartphone used s also actvated. Port 8443 n the network s used for remote access. Thus, ths port must be enabled n the WF router (or n an addtonal frewall) for outgong connectons. Ths s usually set by default on WF routers, meanng that no changes need be made. However, f remote access does not work, check ths settng n the network. The frst actvaton of remote access for an enet server s free of charge for a test perod. A pad-for extenson s avalable at my.enet-smarthome.de. If no extenson has taken place by the end of the free test perod, then remote access s deactvated automatcally and no further costs are ncurred. To actvate the free test perod, t s suffcent to create a user account at my.enetsmarthome.de and actvatng remote access, usng the user data n the app or n the system settngs. The use of remote access beyond the test perod can be extended for a fee at my.enetsmarthome.de. Actvated remote access can be deactvated agan there at any tme. Dependng on the dstance to the enet server and Internet bandwdth, long response tmes must be expected when operatng the enet system va remote access. After actvatng remote access, remote access to the commssonng nterface can take place from drectly my.enet-smarthome.de. Clck the correspondng lnk to the enet Server. If the web browser used supports a popup blocker, ths must frst be deactvated. Page 19 of 55

20 System settngs of the enet server Regster remote access at my.enet-smarthome.de The once-only regstraton by the user to create a user account for remote access takes place at my.enet-smarthome.de. The actvated enet servers can be seen on my.enet-smarthome.de and remote access can be deactvated for the enet Server and the apps here. Deactvaton deletes the server data and dsconnects all connected apps. Remote access s then no longer possble. Actvaton of remote access va enet SMART HOME app Precondton: The user has set up an account at my.enet-smarthome.de and the free test perod for the enet server has not yet expred or an extenson was pad for. Precondton: The user s connected to the enet server va the home network. o Select Remote access n the System menu of the app. o Enter and actvate the personal user data at my.enet-smarthome.de (e-mal address and password). Remote access for the enet system and the smartphone used s actvated and the enet server s regstered under my.enet-smarthome.de. The regstraton can be seen n the system settngs of the enet server and at my.enet-smarthome.de. The Allow remote access settng s actvated automatcally n the system settng. Remote access to the enet system s possble. Wth actvated remote access, the enet SMART HOME app connects automatcally wth the home network va WF as soon as the app s located wthn the range of the home network. Ths operaton must be performed for every user to receve remote access to the enet system wth the same user data on ther smartphone. Deactvaton of remote access n the app only deactvates remote access for the smartphone used. Other users of the enet system wth actvated remote access are not affected by ths. Actvaton of remote access va the enet server Actvaton of remote access s performed n the system settngs on the Remote access tab. After the frst start of the commssonng nterface, a wndow opens, n whch a new project can be created or an exstng project mported (10) and the frst basc settngs made. Set date and tme). If, on startng, the enet server fnds a tme server, then t used as the default settng. 22 Rooms vew 7 Rooms vew After project creaton, the system automatcally swtches to the Rooms vew for the creaton of the buldng structure. The buldng structure conssts of so-called areas and floors, n whch rooms are created. The names of the areas, floors and rooms can be chosen freely and can consst of a maxmum of 15 characters. Rooms wthout an area assgnment could be a garage or a summerhouse, whch cannot be assgned to a floor or an area. enet SMART HOME app: The created buldng structure wth ts areas, floors and rooms s used for dsplay and orentaton n the app. Devce channels assgned to the room of of ther acton, so that targeted access to the consumers s possble va the app. 7.1 Create and change the buldng structure The buldng structure s created through the creaton of areas and floors (1) and the rooms (8) (Fgure 8). The buldng structure can be changed later on. Areas, floors and rooms can be renamed or deleted. The functons become vsble when the cursor s moved over a graphcal element, e.g. room, (5) and (6). Areas, floors and rooms can also be moved by drag & drop (Fgure 8) (7). Areas are moved, renamed and deleted n the same way as rooms are. In the next step, the assgnment of the devces to the rooms n the buldng structure s formed. 24 8 Devces vew After creatng the buldng structure n the Rooms vew, the devces can be confgured n the next step and the rooms added n whch they are nstalled. Devces of the nstallaton or catalogue devces can be used for ths commssonng step. Installaton devces are read nto the enet server va a devce search. Catalogue devces must later be replaced wth nstallaton devces va a devce search. enet SMART HOME app: The app dsplays the channel name and channel locaton for operaton or further use, e.g. for creatng scenes. The channel name and channel locaton are specfed n the Devces vew of the commssonng nterface n the devce settngs when addng the devces. As soon as an actuator channel s assgned to a room and a channel has been assgned, t can be used n the app. 8.1 Add devces to the enet system For commssonng wth devces of the enet system, the devces are read nto the enet server usng the devce search n the commssonng nterface. When addng a devce to a room, t s possble to confgure devces and ther devce channels drectly (see chapter Confgurng the devce). Devces from the devce search can - be added to the project as a new devce - Replacng catalogue devces n the project - Replace the nstallaton devces n the project, e.g. a defectve devce Devces vew When replacng the catalogue devces wth system devces, the devce and channel settngs and connectons are transferred. The connecton data and settngs of a devce can be transferred or rejected when nsertng the devce va a devce search. The settngs on the operatng mode swtch of a devce are appled durng the devce search. If the operatng mode swtch on the devce s set to the PC poston, the settng of the operatng mode and channel settngs of the actuators (e.g. swtchng or Venetan blnd for the swtchng/venetan blnd actuator) can then take place n the commssonng nterface. If the operatng mode swtch s n another poston than PC, then these settngs can no longer be changed n the commssonng nterface. If a defectve devce s to be replaced, the new devce must be read n usng the devce search and replaced n the project. If a devce to be replaced wth a new devce remans n the system, ths can lead to malfunctons. The devce must be dsconnected from the mans or reset (see chapter 8.8. Reset devce). Informaton on the devce search - The devce search fnds the devces whch have been swtched drectly to programmng mode or n whch the supply voltage was nterrupted and restored wthn the last 3 mnutes. In the case of RMD devces, t may be necessary to nterrupt the voltage for several mnutes, snce the power supply unt stores energy. In the case of devces that are not drectly accessble, the voltage nterrupton and restoraton s a wse dea. - Only those devces that do not already exst n the current project are found n the devce search. - The devce search s not termnated automatcally by the enet server and must be termnated usng the Stop scan functon. To avod unnecessary telegram traffc, the devce search should be termnated after all the devces have been read n. However, the devce search s termnated automatcally when the commssonng nterface s closed. - The lst of found devces not yet added to the project s deleted when the devce search s restarted. 25 Devces vew - Durng a devce search, the devces cannot be reset to the default settng usng the buttons of the enet Server. - Wth an encrypted project, durng the perod of a devce search, the project s deactvated for the project export, meanng that all the functons executed va the enet Server, such as tme controls, are not avalable durng ths perod. After the end of the devce search, the project s reactvated automatcally and functons started as approprate. 26 A devce s replaced n the project by a devce from the current devce search by draggng the new devce onto the devce to be replaced (drag & drop method). If the đ button was selected, then the devce to be replaced can be selected from a lst. o Make the settngs and apply them wth Save or Close (Fgure 11). The devce s added to the selected room and the as yet unprogrammed devce s shown n yellow. Durng the next programmng operaton, the devce data s saved to the devces. The code n the devce dsplay changes from yellow to green. On addng a prevously used devce as a new devce, devce data, such as the parameters and connectons to other devces, can be transferred wth the Import devce data functon or rejected wth the Reset devce data functon. If a devce of the same type already exsts n the room, then the devce can be added as a new devce or be exchanged wth a devce from the nstallaton or can replace a catalogue devce. When replacng catalogue devces wth devces of the nstallaton, devce data, such as the parameter settngs and connectons, s transferred automatcally. The devces must then be programmed. Wth touch operaton, e.g. on an Pad, the mouse-over functons (8) and (9) appear when the element s pressed for a longer perod of tme Troubleshootng n the devce search Devces vew Why are enet devces not found durng the devce search? Cause 1: Devces are out of rado range. Measure: Reduce the dstance or nsert an addtonal repeater. Cause 2: Devces are not n programmng mode or the supply voltage has not been restored wthn the last 3 mnutes. Measure: Swtch the devce to programmng mode. Cause 3: The enet server s connected together wth a RMD recepton module. Measure: Dsconnect the cable connecton to the RMD recepton module and remove the devce from the system. Cause 4: The devce already exsts n the project. Why can a devce found usng the devce search not be nserted nto the project? Cause 1: The devce was already a part of another project and was not removed correctly from the project or the devce s part of another system. Measure: End the devce search and carry out a reset to the default settng on the devce (see devce operatng manual). Cause 2: No room was selected. Measure: Select room. 8.2 Addng catalogue devces Commssonng of the enet system can take place partally or entrely wth catalogue devces. The catalogue devces can be replaced wth devces from the system n a later workstep, meanng that parameters and connectons are appled automatcally. For ths, the devces of the system must be read n va a devce search. Catalogues of varous manufacturers of the enet Allance are stored n the enet server and can be shown n a targeted manner. Addtonal settngs, such as the parameters of the devce channels, are possble n the Advanced channel settngs tab. Descrptons of the ndvdual devce parameters can be recalled n the devce settngs va the ē button. Wth energy sensors, the measured values (voltage, current, actve/reactve power, etc.) can be read off. 8.4 Devce nformaton The use of devce channels n connectons s dsplayed n the devce nformaton and channels can be controlled. Addtonal nformaton on the devce, such as the artcle number, seral number and devce locaton can also be seen there. The devce nformaton can be recalled va the ē button. The amount of nformaton dsplayed n the nformaton wndow s dependent on the devce type. The nformaton wndows are descrbed below usng the example of a 1-10 V control unt. Page 30 of 55

Wth energy sensors, the measured values (voltage, current, actve power, reactve power and apparent power and absolute actve energy) can be read off. 8.5 Deletng a devce from the project Devces can be removed from the project usng the Delete devce button (Fgure 10) (8). In so dong, devce data, such as devce and channel settngs, s reset and connectons to other devces are deleted. Devces vew To avod mscommuncaton of the prevously connected devces, the devces remanng n the project must be reprogrammed. The devces that must be reprogrammed are lsted n the system overvew (see chapter System overvew). If a devce s removed from the project to whch the enet server has no access at ths tme, the nformaton and parameters reman n the devce. To add the devce to the same or another project va a devce search, a factory reset of the devce must be performed frst - see the operatng manual of the devce. 8.6 Shft devce Devces can be moved to another devce locaton n the devce settngs usng the Shft devce functon (Fgure 12) (3). The devce locaton s updated n the devce dsplay (Fgure 4) (3). 8.7 Localse devce A devce n the nstallaton downloaded va the devce search and added to the project can be added usng the Localse devce functon. Procedure: o Select the Ĕ button n the devce dsplay. o Select the Advanced devce settngs tab (Fgure 12) (9). o Select Localse devce. A wndow opens wth the devce dsplay. To localse an actuator, the connected load s swtched on and off perodcally (approx. every 4 seconds), dependng on the type of the actuator. Venetan blnd drves move alternately up and down approxmately every 4 seconds. To localse a sensor, the LED on the sensor flashes red every second. If necessary, battery-operated devces, such as handheld and wall transmtters, must be "woken up" through on-ste actuaton. Ths should be repeated wth other hand-held and wall transmtters untl the transmtter to be localsed s found usng the flashng sgnal. 8.8 Reset devce The parameters are reset to the factory settng and connectons to other devce channels are deleted usng the Reset devce functon. However, the devce s not deleted from the project. The functon can be recalled va the Advanced devce settngs tab (Fgure 12). Procedure: If the devce s lnked to other devces n one or more connectons, then the connectons must be deactvated n the frst step (see chapter 9.4. Deactvatng connectons). o Select the Ĕ button n the devce dsplay (Fgure 10) (9). o Select the Advanced devce settngs tab (Fgure 12) (9). o Select Reset devce. Connectons to other devces are deleted. The parameters of the devce are set to default values. The settngs on the operatng mode swtch of the devce are transferred agan after the devce s reset. Page 32 of 55

33 Devces vew 8.9 Restore devce If a devce from a project s reset, the enet Server can no longer reach the devce. The devce s coded red n the commssonng nterface. The devce can be restored from the project wth ts devce data usng the Restore devce functon. In addton, devces n an nvald state and coded orange can be restored usng ths functon. Procedure: o Select the Ĕ button n the devce dsplay (Fgure 10) (9). o Select the Advanced devce settngs tab (Fgure 12) (9). o Select Restore devce. o Swtch the devce to programmng mode. The devce may only be swtched to programmng mode f the Restore devce functon was recalled n advance. The devce can agan be reached by the enet Server and wrtes the devce data from the project to the devce Addng a repeater To extend the range of the enet system, an enet repeater can be used or the repeater mode of a mans-powered enet devce actvated. Whlst the repeater mode of mans-powered devces receves all the unfltered enet rado telegrams and transmts them onwards, the enet repeater used as an adapter can alternatvely only repeat the telegrams of selected devces, leadng to consderably lower telegram traffc. Repeaters should only be used n a very targeted manner, as ther use can result n an ncreased rado load, a lengthenng of the reacton tmes and a shortened battery lfespan for battery-powered devces. We recommend usng a maxmum of two repeaters n an enet system n order to prevent a hgh level of telegram traffc. Procedure for actvatng repeater mode on a mans-powered enet devce: o Add devce to the room (see chapter 8.1. Add devces to the enet system). The Devce settngs wndow opens. The Ĕ button n the devce dsplay of the devce can be used to reopen the Devce settngs wndow (Fgure 10) (9). o Select the Advanced devce settngs tab (Fgure 12) (9). o Swtch repeater mode to On. Procedure for usng the enet repeater ZS: o Add devce to the room (see chapter 8.1. Add devces to the enet system). The Devce settngs wndow opens. The Ĕ button n the devce dsplay of the repeater can be used to reopen the Devce settngs wndow (Fgure 10) (9). To ensure that bdrectonal communcaton between the connected actuators and sensors s not nterfered wth, all the actuators and sensors of a connecton must always be added to the repeater. o Select the Add devce functon and select the approprate devces from the selecton menu. o The devces are added to the repeater usng the Use devces button. The receved enet rado telegrams are repeated for the selected devces. If no devces are added to the repeater, then the repeater wll repeat all the enet rado telegrams. Page 33 of 55

34 8.11 Delete connectons Devces whch were prevously used n an enet system or n the same project of the enet Server n the past and whch were read n va a devce search may contan connectons to devces not n the project. The Delete connecton functon allows the deleton of connectons to unknown devces. All the connectons to unknown devces can be deleted smultaneously n the system overvew (see chapter System overvew). 35 9 Connectons vew Actuator and sensor channels are nterconnected n the Connectons vew (Fgure 14). A connecton between devces creates a partcularly fal-safe drect sensor-actuator lnk, whose confguraton s reserved for the specalst carryng out the commssonng. Connectons do not need an enet server to be used and can even be used fully f there s a fault n the enet server. Connectons are not vsualsed n the enet SMART HOME app nor can they be changed va the app. Sensor channels used n a connecton are also not avalable n the app (e.g. for If-Then rules). Ths s because the basc nstallaton of the enet system performed by the specalst should be protected aganst outsde nterventon. The dsablng functons Lock-out protecton and Restrant and the threshold value functons Sun protecton and Twlght are also created n the Connectons vew. In ths vew, the connectons can be programmed ndvdually for drect use. Changes to the programmed connectons are possble later on. The followng rules apply to connectons: - Devce channels can be used n multple connectons. - In a connecton, all the sensor channels control all the actuator channels. - To ad structurng, each connecton s assgned to a room from the buldng structure. A connecton can have the followng states (Fgure 14) (5): - Connecton s nactve (grey codng): Connecton s not yet programmed. Changes are possble. Connecton can be programmed. - Connecton s actve (green codng): Connecton s programmed and actve n the enet system. The connecton s dsabled for changes. Changes can be programmed to the devces or rejected. Program connecton) Wnd alarm Usng the Wnd alarm functon, an actuator can be controlled accordng to a wnd speed threshold value. To mplement the Wnd alarm functon, a standard wnd sensor wth relay output, an enet unversal transmtter and the enet actuator to be actvated are necessary. The unversal transmtter must be confgured for the Wnd alarm functon and then connected to the actuator. The Wnd alarm functon possesses a prorty and can thus not be overrdden by functons or commands of a lower prorty. Procedure: The unversal transmtter must frst be confgured for the wnd alarm n the devce settngs. o To do ths, n the Devces vew, open the devce settngs of the unversal transmtter usng the Ĕ button. o Select the Scenes for sgnal contact functon. o Select the Wnd alarm operatng mode. o Close the devce settngs. o Create a connecton for the wnd alarm (see chapter 9.1. Create connecton). o Add the unversal transmtter to the connecton usng the đ button or va drag & drop. The connecton s dsabled for further changes - but can be set back to Edt mode for changes usng the Edt button. 9.3 Edt connecton A connecton can be changed, e.g. devce channels can be added or removed from the connecton. Durng edtng, the connectons reman n the devces, meanng that actuator operaton s stll possble n Edt mode. Changes can then be transmtted to the devces of the system or rejected agan. Procedure: o Select Edt. The connecton changes to Edt mode and can be changed. The connecton remans actve n the enet system. o If necessary, select Shft to assgn the connecton to another room (only for structurng). Smultaneous changng of multple connectons s possble n Edt mode. o To reject the changes and ext Edt mode, select Reject. o To apply the changes to the devces, select Program. Changes are transmtted to the devces of the nstallaton. The connecton s actve and can no longer be changed. A connecton cannot be programmed wthout a sensor channel or wthout an actuator channel. Should a connecton be deleted completely, then the connecton data must frst be removed from the devces usng the Deactvate button (see chapter 9.4. Deactvatng connectons) and then deleted usng the Delete button. 9.4 Deactvatng connectons The connecton must be deactvated to remove a connecton from the enet system. When a connecton s deactvated, the connecton data s removed from the devces. Procedure: o Select Deactvate. The connecton s no longer actve n the enet system. The connecton data s removed from the devces. After the deactvaton of a connecton, t s possble to delete the connecton fully from the project usng the Delete button. Page 39 of 55

The encrypton of the rado telegrams prevents access to the enet system by thrd partes and eavesdroppng on the transmtted data. At the tme of actvaton, a one-tme connecton of the enet Server to the Internet s requred to actvate encrypton. Manual commssonng s not possble when encrypton s actvated. Wth an encrypted project, durng the perod of a devce search, the project s deactvated for the project export, meanng that all the functons executed va the enet Server, such as tme controls, are not avalable durng ths perod. After the end of the devce search, the project s reactvated automatcally and functons started as approprate. Page 40 of 55

41 A project cannot be encrypted for securty reasons f the project contans devces whch do not support encrypton. Ths could be devces whch do not generally support encrypton, e.g. a hand-held transmtter wth a dsplay or devces wth an old software verson. Encrypton of the projecton can be performed after a devce update of the devces wth old software versons. The operatng manuals of the enet devces contan nformaton as to whether the enet devces support ths functon. Wth devces whch cannot be contacted on actvaton of project encrypton, e.g. because they are outsde the range of the enet Server or are not operatonal, encrypton s only actvated n the project at frst. The affected devces are coded orange (see chapter 3.1. Illustraton of the devces) and must be updated mmedately usng the Restore devce functon as soon as they are contactable agan (see chapter 8.9. Restore devce). If encrypton s actvated n a project, n whch devces exst wth unknown connectons to devces outsde the project, then these connectons become unusable. Ths s the case f, for example, a connecton to a devce from the project was set up va manual commssonng. Wth actve encrypton, the functon Reassgn key appears n the Project vew, usng whch a new key can be ssued. Ths functon can be performed f the current key no longer seems secure. In so dong, note that, after changng the key, a new export of the project must take place, as ths makes the prevously exported project unusable Create project report Usng the Create project report button, t s possble to create project documentaton n PDF format. The content of the project documentaton can be selected n a targeted manner: - Buldng structure (only rooms to whch devces have been added) - Overvew of the buldng wth devces and connectons - Parameter lst of the ndvdual devces - Informaton on connectons (number of connectons, devce locaton and name, channel locaton and name of the connected channels) - Parts lst of the devces wth artcle numbers - Result of the sgnal qualty measurement, f a measurement was performed over the entre project n the system overvew (see chapter System overvew) - System settngs of the enet server Procedure: o Select Create project report. The documentaton generated s provded as a PDF fle for openng or downloadng. If the web browser used supports a popup blocker, ths must frst be deactvated Import and export project To archve a project, the project can be exported wth all the data. An archved project can be remported nto an enet server for use and edtng. An exported project s requred, for example, to download the project to a new enet Server after replacng the enet Server n case of a defect. Even durng commssonng, t can be benefcal to archve specfc project versons usng the export functon, so that, f there s an error, t s possble to return to a functonng level. After completon of an nstallaton, we recommend exportng the project and handng t over, together wth the project report, to the customer as documentaton. The password for decryptng the project and the user data of the admnstrator can be handed over to the customer, for example, n a sealed envelope. Wth actvated encrypton, when a project s exported a password s quered whch s requred agan to mport the project. Ths s necessary for secure encrypton use (see chapter Actvate or deactvate encrypton) Export project Project vew The project s brefly deactvated for the length of the project export, meanng that all the functons executed va the enet Server, such as tme controls, are not avalable durng ths Page 41 of 55

42 perod. After the export, the project s reactvated automatcally and functons started as approprate. Procedure: o Select Export project. o If project encrypton s actve, then an ndvdual password must be entered to encrypt the project fle (see chapter Actvate or deactvate encrypton). A dalog for savng the project appears. The project data s saved on the computer as an ex fle. Keep the encrypton password safe, as the exported project s worthless wthout the rght password and, n the worst case scenaro, cannot be used for troubleshootng Import project Project vew When a project s mported, all the data of the current project s lost. To back up the data, the current project must be exported before another project s mported. When mportng a project created wth an enet Server of verson V1.x, the system changes n the enet SMART HOME System and the resultng necessary project mgraton mean that all the data such as tmer modules, logc modules, acton modules, scenes, presence smulatons and meterng recordngs s lost. Please refer to the nformaton on mgratng a V1.x project to a V2.x project on the manufacturer's webste! The verson of the enet Server to whch a project s to be mported must be at least the same verson (or a more recent verson) than the enet Server wth whch the project was exported. For ths reason, an update of the enet server may have to be performed n advance. Procedure o Select Import project. A selecton dalog opens. o Select project fle for the mport and choose Import. o If project encrypton s actve, the password must be entered to decrypt the project (see chapter Export project). The computer mports the project nto the enet Server and actvates t. Wthout the password, the encrypted project cannot be actvated or edted durng the mport. For project analyss, the project can also be mported wthout enterng the password. The password s polled agan on each new log-on to the commssonng nterface, untl t has been entered once to actvate the project Compare project Changes made to the devces of the enet system can be appled to the project of the commssonng nterface va a project comparson. A project comparson can also undo changes to the devces of the enet system by wrtng the project data to the devces of the enet system. The followng changes are taken nto account durng a project comparson: - New connectons created n the enet system through manual commssonng - New devces lnked n the enet system through manual commssonng to exstng devces of the enet system - Devces removed manually to the enet system, e.g by factory reset - Changes to parameters and operatng mode on devces of the enet system Procedure: o Select Compare project. If necessary, actuate battery-operated devces. The devces, parameters and connecton data are compared. If there are dfferences between the project and the devces of the enet system, then t s possble to choose between the Wrte data and Read-n data functons. o Select Wrte data to transmt the devce data from the project to the devces of the enet system. 43 o Changes performed manually on the devces on the enet system are undone and overwrtten wth the data from the project. Select Read-n data to transmt the changed devce data from the enet system to the project. If connectons between devces n the project were recreated through manual commssonng, a new connecton s created. If connectons between a new devce and a devce from the project were recreated through manual commssonng, then the new devce s detected as an unknown devce and can be read n va a devce search. After the devce has been read nto the project va a devce search, a new connecton s created wth the new devce. If a connecton between devces n the project was deleted manually drectly on the devce, the connecton s then adapted or deleted Delete project The project can be deleted permanently wth all the data usng Delete project. However, the devces of the enet system reman untouched, meanng that drect devce connectons reman functonal after deleton. By contrast, durng a factory reset, all the users and settngs, such as network settngs or data for remote access of the enet Server, are deleted, meanng that the enet Server s n the same state as when delvery from the factory. If the devces n the project are not removed beforehand, then they cannot be added wth a new project. The devces must frst be reset manually through a factory reset, see devce operaton manual. Project vew Before deletng a project, t s wse to back up the current project usng the Export project functon. Before deletng a project, always remove the devces from the project on whch local operaton was dsabled. Ths s necessary because these devces can otherwse no longer be reset to the factory settngs after the project s deleted and can thus not be added to a project agan! Page 43 of 55

44 Dagnostcs vew 11 Dagnostcs vew In the Dagnostcs vew, the sgnal qualty measurement and telegram recordng for dagnostc purposes can be recalled Measurng the sgnal qualty The sgnal qualty measurement can be used to measure the qualty of the rado sgnals between the sensor channels and connected actuator channels. For the measurement, a devce (actuator or sensor) s selected from whch the sgnal qualty of all the connected channels s measured. Wth ths sgnal qualty measurement, the logc lnks between devces, whch were created va scenes or If-Then rules n the enet SMART HOME app are taken nto account. The logc lnks are created va the enet Server, whch s taken nto account n ths sgnal qualty measurement. A sgnal qualty measurement can be performed for all the connectons of all the devces of the enet system n a sngle step n the system overvew. However, n so dong, the enet Server and thus also the logc lnks created va the enet SMART HOME app, are not taken nto account (see chapter System overvew). 45 Dagnostcs vew (7) Repeat, start or stop measurement Procedure (Fgure 16): For sgnal qualty measurement, the connectons whch contan the devce channels must be actve. If a connecton s n Edt mode or t s deactvated, then the sgnal qualty measurement can only be performed for the enet Server. o Select the desred devce whch should start the measurement (2). If a devce has already been added, then reselectng t allows t to be removed. If a devce has already been added, then t can be replaced by selectng another devce. The devce (1) and all connected devces are added to the work area (3). The enet server s taken nto account as a connected devce durng each measurement. o Select Start measurement (7). The measurement s carred out and the results then llustrated (5) and (6). An nsuffcent connecton can be mproved by addng a repeater. In the selecton n the Connectons vew, the Repeater flter can be used to dsplay the devces wth a repeater functon. The repeater functon can be actvated n the Devce settngs/advanced devce settngs. Snce the use of repeaters may lead to hgher telegram traffc and, n consequence, faults n telegram transmsson, a maxmum of only two repeaters should be used. The enet Repeater ZS, whch s desgned as an adapter, s to be favoured here, f a confguraton s desred, n whch only the telegrams of selected devces are repeated. o The measurement can be repeated (7) to check drectly the mpact of changes made to the system. In a sgnal qualty measurement, a repeater s only taken nto account when no recepton would be avalable wthout the repeater Record telegrams Telegrams can be recorded n the background for several hours. The computer does not have to be connected to the enet server for ths. However, before the computer s removed, the commssonng nterface must always be closed (Fgure 3) (6). The telegram recordngs can be exported for an evaluaton of the telegram traffc. Durng telegram recordng, t s possble to contnue workng n the other vews of the commssonng nterface. Up to 2,000 telegrams can be recorded; after that the oldest entres are overwrtten. The dagnostc functon dsplays what a channel s transmttng but not what t s recevng. The recpent of a partcular telegram and ts contents can thus not be analysed wth ths dagnostc functon. It s possble to use the telegram recordng to show the telegram traffc whch does not orgnate n devces of the enet system. Here, the recordng should be started drectly wthout a devce havng prevously been selected. Applcatons for telegram recordng: - Test for whether a channel s transmttng - Evaluate telegram exchange between the sensor and actuator channel - Quanttatve evaluaton of telegram traffc, e.g. proporton of thrd-party telegrams Page 45 of 55

Up to 10 channels can be selected for telegram recordng. In ths case, to record all telegrams receved from the enet server, no channels must be selected, but the telegram recordng must be started drectly nstead. o If necessary, select flter to lmt the selecton of devces. o Select the channel for the telegram recordng usng the đ button. o Select Start recordng. A maxmum of 50 telegrams are dsplayed. o Stop telegram recordng usng the Stop recordng button. The telegram recordng can be contnued usng the Start recordng button. The tme of the telegrams s dsplayed n the result of the telegram recordng. If the telegram was transmtted va a repeater, ths s ndcated by the double dsplay of the tme stamp (Fgure 17). Delete the telegram recordng usng the Delete recordng button. The recorded telegrams are deleted permanently Export and evaluate telegrams The recorded telegrams can be exported as a table n csv format n order to perform evaluatons n other software (e.g. MS Excel).
