1 These programming guidelines should be read and used in conjunction with 6 short You Tube videos which demonstrate how to program the following key functions. 1. PAIRING Motor to Multi Remote 2. REVERSING MOTOR ROTATION 3. GROUPING 2 or More Motors (to a Single Channel) 4. SETTING & ADJUSTING CLOSED & OPENED LIMITS 5. DELETING CHANNEL and RESETTING LIMITS on a Multi Channel Remote 6. PROGRAMMING WIND SENSOR These video clips have been uploaded onto You Tube to be accessible on web site. Alternatively an Iphone APP is available to give mobile web access to all Training, Installation, Programming & Video Guidelines. To access the APP, open App Store from your iphone or ipad then search for JPM SPEED and install onto your device. For login please see your manager Any updates/revisions are automatically accessed through using the APP. Basic Rules highlighted in programming videos are; Check programming instructions to determine if POWER ON or OFF is required first before a programming function When power is turned on to a motor the motor is automatically in program mode for the first 4 seconds & during this time pressing any buttons may alter previous programs. After you have performed part of a programming step & the instructions state motor will jog & beep you need to WAIT for JOG & LISTEN for BEEPs to finish before going to the next step Programming notes have been written for either the DC90/92/94 or the DC305/306/313 model remote transmitters where the access the P2 button is by removing a cover on the back, or through a small pin hole on the back cover. 2 1. PAIRING Motor to Multi Remote 1. Turn OFF power supply to motor for 10 seconds minimum 2. Prepare to access to the P2 programming button on the back of the remote transmitter. Access differs depending DC90/92/94 models - Remove the cover on the back of the remote DC305/306/313 models - Obtain a paper clip and bend it open to use to press the P2 button through a small 3. Turn power back ON. You are in program mode for 4 seconds be very careful not to randomly touch any buttons or you may change or delete functions already programmed IMPORTANT: The time interval between pressing each programming function must be within 4 seconds of resetting, otherwise the motor will drop out of programming mode and restore the original state 4. Scroll Multi Channel remote using LEFT & RIGHT buttons to select required channel FOR CLOCKWISE MOTOR ROTATION 5. Press the P2 button on the back of the remote TWICE 6. Press and hold the DOWN button FOR ANTI CLOCKWISE MOTOR ROTATION 7. Press the P2 button, on the back of the remote TWICE 8. Press and hold the UP button If you are using a Multi Channel remote you may select another channel to PAIR to a GROUPING channel by repeating steps 5 & 6 clockwise or steps 7 & 8 for anti clockwise rotation Wait 30 seconds for motor to JOG to confirm timed out of program mode back to normal operation 2. REVERSING MOTOR ROTATION 1. Turn OFF power supply to motor for 10 seconds minimum 2. Prepare to access to the P2 programming button on the back of the remote transmitter. GROUPING 2 or More Motors (to a Single Channel) The most efficient method to program 2 or more motors (a GROUP) on 1 channel is to set the group channel during PAIRING function previously detailed. An example for grouping 3 motors together is as follows; 1. Pair individually NOTE: If there are 2 motorized awnings the motors should be fitted with one motor in the left hand and the other motor in the right hand corners of the opening You will need to reverse the rotation of one of the motors after pairing You will need to individually set the closed and opened limit settings 2. Connect the power to both motors and programming is finished and ready to operate MULTI CHANNEL & GROUPING 3 awnings 1. Pair motor 1 to channel 1 then group channel 4 2. Pair motor 2 to channel 2 then group channel 4 3. Pair motor 3 to channel 3 then group channel 4 Press P2 button TWICE and Press and hold the DOWN button until all motorised awnings power open together JPM Blinds & Awnings Programming Guide 13 th February 2014: Revision B Page 3 of 5

4 4. SETTING & ADJUSTING TOP & BOTTOM LIMITS IMPORTANT: Take care during programming not to open and close the awning excessively If the awning is opened & closed 4 times continuously the motor will overheat & the thermal overload will trip out & stop the motor. It takes a minimum 20 minutes for the motor (which is inside the top tube) to cool down sufficiently for the thermal overload to automatically reset (longer in hot weather). 1. Scroll Multi Channel remote using LEFT & RIGHT buttons to select required channel SETTING THE DOWN LIMIT 1. Press the DOWN button to open the awning to the required position 2. Press the STOP button 6 times. The motor will JOG then BEEP once to confirm the setting is programmed IMPORTANT: The folding arm elbow joint should not be set straight when setting the opened limit. The arm should be set slightly bent to enable closure SETTING THE UP LIMIT 1. Press the UP button to fully close the awning 2. Press P2 button ONCE 3. Press the UP button ONCE 3. 5 5. DELETING CHANNEL and RESETTING LIMITS on a Multi Channel Remote 1. Select the channel to be deleted on the remote 2. Turn OFF power supply to motor for 10 seconds minimum 1. Prepare to access to the P2 programming button on the back of the remote transmitter. Access differs depending DC90/92/94 models - Remove the cover on the back of the remote DC305/306/313 models - Obtain a paper clip and bend it open to use to press the P2 button through a small 3. Turn power back ON & you are in program mode for 6 seconds be very careful not to randomly touch any buttons or you may change or delete functions already programmed 4. Scroll using LEFT & RIGHT buttons to select channel on Multi Channel remote. 5. Press the P2 button ONCE on the back of the remote. The receiver will BEEP once to acknowledge 6. Press STOP button ONCE 7. Press the P2 button ONCE on the back of the remote. The motor will JOG and the receiver will BEEP 2 times to confirm limit settings, all channels and remote transmitters are deleted from that motor receiver 6. PROGRAMMING DC116 WIND SENSOR Check the wind sensor is connected to a 240 volts electrical supply, the turbine blades are installed horizontally and rotate freely. 1. Turn power on to the awning motor & wind sensor 2. Press P2 button TWICE on the back of the remote 3. Within 6 seconds use the tip of a ball point pen to PRESS button on wind sensor 4. Wind sensor is now paired to the motor 5. For initial set up we recommend to adjust wind sensitivity to the lowest setting on wind sensor the 3 position switch 6.
