With the VPU3400 and VNAS product lines, STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions is offering solutions specially developed for public transport for video monitoring, recording, transmission and analysis for use in trams, subways and tubes, omnibuses as well as regional and long-distance trains. Key criteria for a successful deployment are, among other things, a high resolution of the recording and a high frame rate. Only in this way can it be ensured that all events, also quick movements, are recorded in good quality and are available for analysis of the image material. The VPU3400 and VNAS product lines offer mobile video recorders in compact and fanless housings are up to date that are specially adapted to the requirements of the local public transport. 4 4 STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions Mobile Video Systems VPU The VPU3400 product line offers a mobile video recorder in a compact and fanless housing that is state of the art and is specially adapted to the requirements of the local public transport. It is characterised by an excellent video compression performance of 25 frames per second (PAL) or 30 frames per second (NTSC) in 4CIF/D1 resolution. In order to meet the individual requirements of the vehicle types, the VPU3400 is available as a 8-channel and 12-channel version. Up to 24 cameras in the DVR/DVC network can also be connected via a video encoder (DVC). Analogue or digital cameras can be recorded, even during mixed operation. The camera images are saved on an installed removable storage media with various capacities on HD (harddisc) or SSD (solid state disc) and can also be displayed on a driver monitor to provide an optimum view of the events in the passenger area. For integration of the mobile video monitoring in the operating control technology,the VPU provides optional functions for video transmission. The transmission can be carried out via various physical media, such as UMTS, WiMax, LTE or WLAN, and makes it possible for the control centre to carry out a direct evaluation of the current situation in the vehicle. The VPU enables audio recording of up to two further audio channels and the saving of meta data from the passenger information systems, such as stops, routes, lines, vehicle numbers or GPS data, in parallel to the video recording. In addition, the data of the passenger counting system can be recorded as well for later evaluation. VPU DVR, version boxed with connections on the rear The VPU offers a multitude of interfaces for the integration of the video system in the vehicle. This includes the RS232, and IBIS interfaces. Among other things, the VPU in the vehicle network can be cascaded via the interface to display cameras from coupled carriages on the driver monitor. 5 Product Lines 5 VNAS The video recorder of the product family VANS offers state-of-the-art mobile video and audio recording (DVR - Digital Video Recorder, NVR - Network Video Recorder) for up to 32 digital cameras in a compact and enclosure with one or two height units. The video recorder is specially adapted to the requirements of local public transport and is characterised by a large video memory provision with capacities of several terabytes. The unit is able to save camera-dependent video images with up to 30 frames per second in QVGA (320 x 240 px) bis zu 2k (2048 x 1536 px) resolution. The camera images are stored in a proprietary format on a removable storage medium with various capacities. The VNAS supports various types of IP camera in the video codecs H.264, MPEG4 and MJPEG. In addition, analogue video signals from existing cameras can also be recorded using a video encoder. The recording of video data with video recorders and video encoders enables the data to be saved centrally in complex scenarios. This also includes mutual monitoring in the vehicle to ensure redundancies. In the event of a video recorder failing, the other video recorder takes over the saving of all cameras in the train configuration. VNAS4100-NVR, 19 version with connections on the front The VNAS provides an interface for the integration of the video system in modern vehicle information systems and in vehicle control technology for the transmission of passenger information data, event-controlled video transmission or generation of status messages. Another interface is available for the set-up of a separate CCTV network in the vehicle. In addition, there are a multitude of project-specific expansion possibilities that can be implemented as required. 6 6 STRABAG Infrastructure & Safety Solutions Mobile Video Systems Applications and Modules CMPlayer - Media Player for search and replay The CMPlayer provides a modern and user-friendly application for the evaluation of the recorded video, audio and meta data of the VPU and VNAS video recorders. The application enables access to the data saved in a proprietary format and can display up to 36 cameras synchronously, as well as the GPS data on map material. CMPlayer, view with 12 cameras The video player controls - play, stop, pause, single image and fast forward or back - are available for playing back the camera images with stepped speed control and zoom on the time axis. The video sequences can be controlled very comfortably using a time axis where the various areas are marked in colour. The selection of alarm sequences with their respective pre-alarms is carried out via direct menu functions, thus enabling extremely convenient access. Only in this way can it be ensured that all events, also quick movements, are recorded in good quality and are available for analysis of the image material. Extensive functions are available for the transmission of the evaluated information for export in public and protected formats, and to create single images or video sequences. For the evaluation of the exported data by emergency services such as the police or the federal authorities, the data can be exported in a protected format with integrated player software. This ensures maximum data security and universal analysis capability of the recorded video and audio sequences at the same time.to guarantee protection of the data, the exported data is protected against manipulation by a watermark and the recording can also be encrypted. CMPlayer, fading in of the GPS data on a map The Center Media Free Player is a part of the Export video player function and enables the video data to be played back without using the CMPlayer. This means this data can be transmitted to and viewed by third parties in a protected format. CMLive - Real-Time Display of the video data in control centres The CMLive application offers the possibility of displaying the video data of up to 8 channels in real time over. CMLive, view from 4 cameras of a vehicle in a control centre Transmission can be carried out over the local (e.g. for adjustment work on the cameras) or using a radio connection to a control centre via UMTS or WLAN. The cameras are activated manually by the operator in the control centre or automatically by the trig gering of an alarm in the vehicle. The user can activate up to four cameras of a vehicle at the same time. In the control centre, the images of the cameras can be saved in an internal video database and exported in a public format. In addition, in the event of relevant events in the vehicle, the operator can trigger an alarm from the control centre, thus ensuring that the video sequences in the vehicle are not overwritten. Similar to the CMPlayer, the CMLive manages person-related data and, therefore, offers protection against unauthorised access. The built-in user management of the CMPlayer enables the definition of users with roles and passwords.

7 Product Lines 7 CMConfig - The user-friendly service software The CMConfig service software offers a multitude of functions that support users during the service and maintenance of the video recorder. This video switching unit is a flexible unit for electronic rear view mirror systems. The rear-view mirror system of the vehicle supports several monitors and enables the monitoring of events from the outside cameras, optionally on various driver s cabs. In order to use the system in vehicle configurations with multiple units, the VSU3900 is equipped with an internal traction interface that enables the transmission of up to 2 video streams in the entire vehicle, thus enabling and ensuring perfect integration in train confi gu rations. These cameras are characterised by expanded functions for backlight compensation and can be perfectly integrated in the profile of the vehicle. The cameras are equipped with internal heating for use at low outside temperatures. System supplements Various models from high-quality, robust cameras and monitors supplement the solutions for public transport vehicles. The high-resolution cameras are available as day/night cam eras, as surface mount or ceiling mount versions with extended backlight compensation or, for example, also with infrared lighting. The housings, protected against vandalism, consist of robust material and can only be opened with special tools in order to prevent damage and access by passengers. This includes versions for installation inside and outside the ceiling construction or for hidden installation in displays, for example are available. 15 driver monitor as well as build-in and surface mounted camera for the interior Depending on the installation position in the vehicle, the cameras can be equipped with a selection of lenses to optimally cover the defined visual area. Installation or surface monitors from 8.4 to 15 are available and enable the display of camera images from the passenger area or the rear-view mirror camera in the vicinity of the driver. In order to analyse traffic flows, passenger numbers and journey times, a video-based passenger counting system is available, which records the data.
