1 LC 14 LASER CONTAINER 1. Safety Instructions and Important Notice LASER RADIATION DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY INTO LASER BEAM! CLASS I. LASER DEVICE - The LC 14 laser container is a Class I. laser shooting device, laser follows the standard EN ed.2: It is forbidden to open or modify the LC 14 laser container, excluding change of battery or grip. - Never aim at people, animals or uncontrolled areas. - While handling the weapon, observe the general rules for manipulation with a real weapon. - Do not look into laser beam directly or through any optical device. - Read carefully the Operating Instructions before using the LC 14 laser container. - Don t use equipment for purposes other than those which it is addressed. - Pistol must be used in accordance with this Instructions only. - Pistol must be protect against strong sun and rain in accordance with the UIPM Rules, part vi) 2. 2 3.Designation LC 14 laser container serves for instruction, training and shooting competitions in Modern Pentathlon. Shooting at PLT precision targets or Hit, HIT&MISS targets is done by the LC 14 Laser container with the UIPM laser signal 15,6 ms inside. It is designated to emit a laser beam after pressing the trigger. 4. Laser Set-up User can change battery and adjust laser on aiming point only. Laser signal can be change by producer or authorised person only! Remove original air cylinder. At this place insert LC 14 laser container. Check correct position of laser barrel see picture. If the position change is needed, you have to unscrew a bit four hexegonal screws / /. After that set correct laser container position by rotation of container clockwise. When laser container is in correct position screw well four hexagonal screws 5.Laser Switch ON/OFF

3 Attach chip on the LC 14 laser container body as shown on picture and SWITCH ON laser container. Red LED diode will flash and you can hear also several beeps. Number of flashes/beeps indicates the battery status: Five flashes/beeps 100% battery power, Four flashes/beeps 75% battery power, Three flashes/beeps - 50% battery power, Two flashes/beeps - 25% battery power, One Flash/beep change battery as soon as possible! RED/BLUE LED diodes are flashing together/sound alarm - battery is empty, laser container is blocked and battery must be change immediatelly. Laser container will be SWITCH OFF automatically after 20 minutes after last shot. 6.Laser container adjusting on aiming point Check laser adjusting on aiming point by a shot on white area on 10 m distance. Shot will be shown as a red dot. Set red dot position by help of rear sights on your gun. Small changes of laser setting can be done by help of adjusting screws of the LC 14 laser container.

4 With hexagonal key set position Left-Right or Up-Down. Insert key in adjusting screw ( as on the picture ):

5 6.Battery change Battery must be change, when ONE FLASH/BEEP is shown by switch ON. Remove screws A and B and open battery space. Remove AA battery from battery holder. Insert new 1,5V AA alcaline battery in battery holder. Keep correct polarity of battery!!! 7.Operating principles The laser beam sent by the emitter is the I. class. Do not stare into laser beam! Never aim at people, animals or uncontrolled areas - observing the general rules for manipulation with a weapon is required. If you do not use the emitter for a long time, remove the battery.

Maintenance Keep the emitter clean by wiping the dust out of them using a dry cloth. Do not use any cleaning agents, solvents and chemical preparations. Do not push the emissive hole optic with any object. 9. Possible Defects and Their Removal The laser beam trace is visible with difficulty or it is not visible at all. Change the battery. The detector (a scanning device) does not react to the shot. Check targets s power supply or change the batteries. The laser beam impact is evaluated anywhere else but not where the weapon aims. Do new adjustment. Check correct function of target. 10. Environmental Protection The batteries must not be dumped into the dustbin. Collect the batteries dispose of them at collection points. 11.
