Introducing eyecode an Essilor technology The most individualized lenses ever made Individualized lenses based on dynamic 3D measurement Y X For more information contact Luzerne Optical Laboratories LTD at or on the web at Eye Frame Behavior
Y X Eyecode lenses take individualized vision to a new level eyecode R=32.6/17.9/25.3 eyecode L=33.4/18.3/24.9 Y Personalized lenses are a profitable, growing part of your practice. Eyecode lenses capture the unique code in each individual eye, and use that data to perfectly calculate the design for each gaze direction. No matter where you look, you get the most precise vision instantly and effortlessly. Only eyecode lenses use actual measurements of the optical Eye Rotation Center (ERC) of each eye to create the most precise individualized vision available. All other lens designs use assumed values for the ERC measurements. + + Eye Data: Do you know the real center rotation of the eye? Frame Data: How is the frame positioned on the patient s face? Behavior Data: What is the natural position of the head?
Y Each eye is unique Eye Data To focus, the eye rotates around a fixed point called the optical Eye Rotation Center (ERC) Only Essilor s patented technology measures the real three dimensional position of each eye s unique ERC With eyecode lenses, there is less astigmatism and power error for both plus and minus prescriptions With eyecode lenses, your patients get the most precise vision possible no matter where they look through the lens 0 far point sphere vertex sphere ERC 1/D f 1 Without eyecode With eyecode With eyecode, the lens design is perfectly calculated for each gaze direction, in every point of the lens surface that the eye scans. increased astigmatism and power error lens design perfectly calculated Why does the ERC matter? Like DNA, the ERC is unique to each person and to each eye. A study of nearly 14,000 people revealed wide dispersions in ERC values The position of the ERC can vary by more than 30% by ametropia 85% of wearers had different ERC measurements in each one of their eyes
Y Eyecode changes everything Eyecode lenses use actual ERC data for each eye as the new reference for PD and fitting height enabling unparalleled precision. Frame Data Eyecode lenses guarantee precise vision because it incorporates frame dimensions. Behavior Data Eyecode data combines the real 3D position of the ERC plus the natural head posture to provide the best visual quality in each gaze direction Natural head posture describes the position of the head as it rests naturally on the head and shoulders on the horizontal plane Natural head posture and gaze directions are unique to each person and can vary widely, impacting lens performance (see graphic below) Natural Head Posture (α) impacts lens performance A 5 º head rotation equals a 2.5mm decentration of the optical axis View from above patient.
Y Real precision Measuring for individualization Essilor s patented measuring system is the only one that measures the actual position of the optical ERC. In half a minute, you get all the data you need to provide the most individualized lenses possible. Highly accurate Outperforms all other measuring systems on the market today Can be used for both single vision and progressive addition lenses eyecode PLUS frame data PLUS behavior data gives you an unmatched level of lens individuality Only eyecode lenses incorporate 3 levels of personalization for the most individualized lenses available. Eye Data Frame Data Behavior Data Essilor Individualization X X X Competitive Products X A technological breakthrough available with the following premium digital lenses: Varilux Ipseo IV eyecode Varilux Physio Enhanced eyecode Essilor eyecode Single Vision
Eyecode lenses take precision to the next level. For your patients eyecode lenses mean: The most individualized vision possible The most precise vision no matter where they look through the lens instantly and effortlessly For you eyecode lenses mean: Lenses many times more precise than other personalized lenses A clear competitive advantage Increased patient satisfaction Enhanced revenue Did you know? More than 85% of consumers are interested in buying lenses developed through additional eye measurements and are willing to pay an additional price for them.* *2009 Nielsen online study.
