6 Chapter 1 Overview 1.1 Introduction The HikCentral HD Mobile Client can access to Blazer Pro V2.0.1 or previous (hereinafter simplified as Blazer Pro), Blazer Express V1.3 or previous (hereinafter simplified as Blazer Express), or HikCentral V1.1 or previous (hereinafter simplified as HikCentral) via Wi-Fi, 3G, and 4G networks, and fulfills the functions of the devices connected to Blazer Pro, Blazer Express, or HikCentral, such as live view, remote playback, PTZ control, video clipping, and alarm notification. Note: Network traffic charges may be produced during the use of this Mobile Client. Please refer to the local ISP. 1.2 System Requirements The tablet should use Android OS 4.1 or higher. 3

7 Chapter 2 Installing and Uninstalling 2.1 Installing the Mobile Client Install the HikCentral HD Mobile Client on the Android tablet. 1. Log in to the Google Play and search for HikCentral HD. 2. Download the Mobile Client and install it on your tablet. 2.2 Uninstalling the Mobile Client Uninstall the HikCentral HD Mobile Client on the Android tablet. 1. Enter the Application Management page of your tablet (Settings > Apps). 2. Tap the client icon. 3. In the Application info page of the client, tap Uninstall button. 4. Tap OK to uninstall the Mobile Client. 4

8 Chapter 3 Running the Mobile Client 3.1 Logging In You can log in to the system after entering the required information. Two kinds of users (normal user and domain user) are supported. Tap to open the Mobile Client. Option 1: Log in as Normal User 1. Select the Normal Login tab. 2. Select Use HTTPS if the VSM server s transfer protocol is set as HTTPS. Notes: Set the transfer protocol for VSM. For details, refer to the User Manual of HikCentral Web Client. HTTPS is only available for HikCentral V Enter the server address you want to connect to, or tap to display the drop-down list of all the input histories and select a user and server address. 4. Enter the user name and password. Note: You should add the user on the Blazer Pro, Blazer Express, or HikCentral system via the Web Client. For configuration of adding users, refer to the User Manual of Blazer Pro Web Client, User Manual of Blazer Express Web Client, or User Manual of HikCentral Web Client. 5. (Optional) Select Remember Password to keep the password. 6. Tap Login to log in. Option 2: Log in as Domain User Note: Logging in as domain user is only available for accessing the Blazer Pro and HikCentral 5

9 systems. 1. Tap the Domain Login tab. 2. Select Use HTTPS if the VSM server s transfer protocol is set as HTTPS. Notes: Set the transfer protocol for VSM. For details, refer to the User Manual of HikCentral Web Client. HTTPS is only available for HikCentral V Enter the server address you want to connect. 4. Enter the domain user name and password. 5. (Optional) Select Remember Password to keep the password. 6. Tap Login to log in. Notes: If a failed login attempt with a wrong password is detected, you are required to input the verification code before you can log in successfully. The remaining login attempts will be displayed after a failed password attempt is detected. The account will be frozen for 10 minutes after 5 failed password attempts. You can set to unlock the account via the Web Client. For details, refer to the User Manual of Blazer Pro Web Client, User Manual of Blazer Express Web Client, or User Manual of HikCentral Web Client. The number of the users who simultaneously log in to the Blazer Pro, Blazer Express, or HikCentral system via the HikCentral HD Mobile Client is limited by the License you purchased. If the current logged in users have reached the limit, then no more users can log in. You can only log in to Blazer Pro, Blazer Express, or HikCentral via one Mobile Client at the same time. 3.2 Logging Out 1. On the Home page, tap or slide on the screen to show the Me module, and tap Me to enter the Me page. Check the login information. 6

10 2. Tap Logout. 3. Tap OK in the pop-up window. 3.3 Changing the Password You should change the password via the Mobile Client in the following situations: Logging in for the First Time The first login uses an initial password (Abc123), and then prompts you to create a new password. Note: This is not available for an admin user. Password Expired If your password has expired, you will be asked to change your password when logging in. Password Reset If your password has been reset, you should log in with the initial password (Abc123) and then change your password. Note: This is not available for an admin user. Low Password Strength If your password strength is lower than the required minimum strength, you will be asked to change your password when logging in. 1. Tap Change in the pop-up window to enter the Change Password page. 2. Enter a new password. 7

11 STRONG PASSWORD RECOMMENDED The password strength can be checked by the system. We highly recommend you create a strong password of your own choosing (using a minimum of 8 characters, including upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, and special characters) in order to increase the security of your product. We recommend you reset your password regularly, especially in high security systems, resetting the password monthly or weekly can better protect your product. 3. Confirm the password. 4. Tap OK to finish changing the password. After changing the password, you will log in to the system automatically. 3.4 Function Module Introduction After login, the Home page displays. The Mobile Client provides the following main functions. You can tap the icons or slide on the screen to switch between functions modules. Main Module Introduction Module Video Alarm Business Intelligence Picture and Video Me Descriptions Manage cameras including display mode settings and view settings. View the live video and playback of the cameras. Display the alarm information. Add tags to important alarms and filter alarms by time and tags. Turn the raw data into useful information for business analysis purposes, such as ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and Heat Map. Note: You must have the permissions to access Business Intelligence. Display, manage, and share the local video files and pictures. Check the account details, traffic statistics, set the auto-enable live view in view mode, enable hardware decoding and alarm notification, view software s version information and new features, and perform software updates. 8

12 Chapter 4 Video Management Tap Video on the Home page to enter the Video page. By default, you enter the live view page. 4.1 Camera Management Searching for Area or Camera You can search for the cameras to view. 1. Tap to enter Seach page. 2. (Optional) For HikCentral V1.1, tap the Site field to select one site. You can enter the keywords of the site name to search for a site. Note: Site function is only available for a HikCentral system with a Remote Site Management module (based on the license you purchased). 3. Tap the Camera field to select Camera or Area. 4. Enter the keywords of a camera name or an area name. 5. Tap Search on the keypad to search for the camera or area you want. After searching for a camera or area, you can perform the following operations: For camera, tap one camera to view its details, including a captured picture of the camera view, area, online status, and PTZ control permissions. For Area, tap one area to show the cameras in this area. Tap one camera to view its details. Select one or more cameras and tap or to start live view or playback Notes: The latest 15 items of search history are displayed. 9

13 You can tap to clear the search history Display Mode The Mobile Client offers two display modes for showing the available cameras, including List mode and Thumbnail mode. By default, the cameras are shown in list mode, and you can tap / to switch between Thumbnail mode and List mode. List Mode The cameras display as a list and you can check names, areas, and captured pictures. You can drag the camera node to the display window for live view (refer to Chapter 4.2 Live View) or playback (refer to Chapter 4.3 Remote Playback). A appears beside the camera. Tap of a camera and slide left to show the hidden icons. Tap Details to get the detailed information of the selected camera, including captured picture of the camera view, area, online status, and PTZ control permission. Tap Add/Cancel to add the camera to or remove it from the favorites. Thumbnail Mode The cameras display with their captured pictures, and you can check their names and areas. Tap of a camera to show the hidden icons (tap to back). Tap Details to get the detailed information of the selected camera, including live view of the camera view, area, online status, and PTZ control permissions. Tap Add/Cancel to add the camera to or remove it from the favorites. Tap to select cameras for live view or playback, and the window division and the location of the camera will display. The yellow part indicates the camera location and the white point indicates the page. Tap or to start live view or playback of the selected cameras. Notes: The window division varies based on the selected cameras. Tap the window division to cancel the live view or playback of the camera. Tap View Selected Cameras to show the selected cameras only. 10

14 4.1.3 Favorites You can add the commonly used cameras in Favorites so that you can access them conveniently. 1. Tap the Favorites tab. The added cameras display on the list. Note: For details about adding cameras in Favorites, refer to Chapter Adding to Favorites and View. 2. Tap of a camera and slide left to show the hidden icons. Tap Details to get the detailed information of the selected camera, including a captured picture of the camera view, area, online status, and PTZ control permissions. Tap Delete to remove it from the Favorites. 3. Drag the camera to the display window to start live view. 4. Tap to enter the Thumbnail mode. Tap of a camera to show the hidden icons (tap to back). Tap Details to get the detailed information of the selected camera, including live view 11

15 of the camera, area, online status, and PTZ control permissions. Tap Delete to remove it from the Favorites View Settings You can add frequently used cameras to a custom view for convenient live view. 1. Tap View to enter the View page. The existing views will display. 2. Tap to enter the Add page. You can also add the view in Live View mode. For details, refer to Chapter Adding to Favorites and View. 3. Enter a name for the view. 4. Tap Add Camera to enter Thumbnail mode. 1) Tap to select cameras. The window division and the location of the camera will display. 2) Tap OK to add the selected cameras to the view. Notes: You can tap the Control Center field to select the area you want, and the cameras contained in the area display. For HikCentral V1.1, tap the Site field, select the site, and select the area to show cameras in this area. Up to 64 cameras can be selected. The window division varies based on the selected cameras number. You can tap the window division to cancel the live view or playback of the camera. You can tap View Selected Cameras to show the selected cameras only. 12

16 5. Tap OK to save the view settings. You can select to play the view automatically when entering Live View mode. For details, refer to Chapter 8.2 Auto-Enable Live View in View Mode. 6. Tap of a view and slide left to show the hidden icons. Tap Details to get the detailed information of the selected view, including view name, window division, and related cameras captured pictures. 17 4.2 Live View The following icons are available on the Live View page. Icon Description Return to Home page. Note: When you enter the Video module again, the live view or playback will remain as the previous status. Switch camera display mode. Select area in the Control Center or Site to show its cameras. Note: For HikCentral V1.1, you can tap and select the site, including current site and remote site. Switch between Live View and Playback mode. Hide the camera list. Capture picture of the selected live view window. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Record the video of the selected live view window. Two-way audio. Audio control. Add the camera or view to Favorites or View. / Stop all the live view/recover the previous live view. Digital zoom. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Set the image quality to HD (High Definition) or SD (Standard Definition). Fisheye dewarping. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. PTZ control panel. 14

18 4.2.1 Starting Live View Note: Up to 64 cameras can be played at the same time. 1. Tap the Control Center or Site field and select an area to display its cameras. For HikCentral V1.1, tap to select the site, including current site and remote site, and tap its area to show the cameras. 2. Drag the camera node to the display window for live view. You can also start live view of cameras shown in Thumbnail mode. Note: Only one camera can be dragged to one display window to start live view. 3. (Optional) When all the current windows are displaying live views, you can drag another camera node to the live view window until the window division mode switches and then drag it to the free window for live view. Note: The software supports 1 / 4 / 9 / 16-division mode and four display pages. When there are multiple pages of playing windows, you can slide the screen to go to the next or previous page. 4. (Optional) Drag and move the window to adjust the window sequence. Note: Only windows on the same page can be exchanged. You cannot drag and move a window to the next page. 5. (Optional) Double-tap the live view window to display the camera in 1-division mode and double-tap again to restore Stopping Live View During the live view, tap (it changes to ) to stop the live view of all cameras. Tap to resume the previous live view. You can perform the following steps to stop the live view of a specific camera. 1. Tap and hold the live view window. 2. Drag the window upwards until displays in the top of the software. 3. Drag the window to until it changes to and release the window PTZ Control In Live View mode, select a playing window and tap changes to. 19 Focus + Focus - Iris + Iris - Enable 3D positioning of the camera. PTZ movements. Setting a Preset 1. Use to move the camera to the desired scene. 2. Tap the Preset tab to enter the preset settings page. 3. Tap a preset and tap under it to set the current scene as a preset. Note: Up to 256 presets can be configured. After setting the preset, you can perform the following operations. To call the defined preset, tap the preset and then tap under it. To delete the defined preset, tap the preset and tap under it Recording and Capture In Live View mode, select a window in live view and tap to record video. Note: During the recording, turns to and an indicator appears on the upper-left corner of the display window. Tap to capture a picture from a camera under live view. Note: Capture is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. You can view and manage the videos and pictures in the Picture and Video Management page (refer to Chapter 7 Picture and Video Management) Two-Way Audio The two-way audio function enables voice talk on the devices. You can get not only the live video but also the real-time audio from the device. Note: This function need to be supported by the device. 1. Select a window under live view. 2. Tap to start two-way audio with the device in live view. The window in two-way audio will display in 1-division mode. Tap the icon again to disable the two-way audio. 16

20 Note: When two-way audio of the channel is enabled, the audio control function is not supported Digital Zoom You can use digital zoom during live view. 1. Select a window under live view. 2. Tap. The selected window will display in 1-division mode. 3. Spread two fingers apart to zoom in or pinch them together to zoom out the live view. Double-tap on the live view image to use digital zoom. Note: Digital zoom is not supported if hardware decoding is enabled or fisheye dewarping is enabled Audio Control You can control the audio of the selected channel. Tap to enable the audio of the selected channel. Notes: Audio is enabled when the live view starts by default. When two-way audio is enabled, the audio control of the channel is not available Image Quality The Mobile Client supports two video quality types, including SD and HD. Tap to set the quality according to the performance of your network and tablet hardware. The image quality types can be automatically switched according to the window division mode. By default, 1-division adopts HD mode, and 4-division, 9-division, and 16-division adopt SD mode. If it fails to switch the image quality automatically after changing the window division mode, the image quality will remain previous. Notes: If you change the image quality, the live view and recording of the device may be affected due to the new settings, such as image definition. If the live view is not fluent or the screen appears blurred, set the image quality to SD mode. The video quality of third-party cameras and channel-zero cameras can only be set to HD Adding to Favorites and View In Live View mode, you can add the camera to Favorites or add current view information 17

21 (cameras and window division) to View, so that you can access the camera or view conveniently. Task 1: Favorites 1. Select a window that is under live view. 2. Tap and select Favorites 3. Tap OK in the pop-up window to add the camera to Favorites. The added camera displays in the Favorites page. In this way, you can easily find the camera in Favorites. For details, refer to Chapter Favorites. Task 2: View You can add the current view information to View. 1. Tap and select View. 2. Tap OK in the pop-up window. 3. Edit the name for the view. 4. Tap Save to confirm the settings. The added view is listed on the View page Fisheye Dewarping You can play live video of a fisheye camera in fisheye dewarping mode. Notes: The fisheye dewarping function must be supported by the device. The fisheye dewarping function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Tap to show the fisheye dewarping panel. Icon Description Dual-180 panorama view for ceiling mounting and table mounting. 360 panorama view for ceiling mounting and table mounting. 18

22 Panorama view for wall mounting. PTZ view for ceiling mounting, table mounting, and wall mounting. You can drag in the live view window to pan left/right and tilt up/down. Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or spread them apart to zoom in the live view. Notes: You can slide on the live view window to pan left/right in the dual-180 panorama view and 360 panorama view. The available fisheye dewarping modes vary with the mounting type of the fisheye camera. The unavailable fisheye dewarping modes display as grey on the page. 4.3 Remote Playback Switch the to to enter Remote Playback mode. The following icons are available on the Remote Playback page. Note: When entering Remote Playback mode, the View mode will disappear. Icon / Description Hide the camera list. Async/Sync Playback. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. / Pause or resume the playback. Adjust the playback speed to 1/4X, 1/2X, 1X, 2X, and 4X. Capture picture of the selected playback window. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Clip the playback video of the selected playback window. Audio control. Stop all the playback. Digital zoom. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Enter the PIP (Picture in Picture) mode. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Tap to switch the video stream to main stream or sub-stream. Note: This function is only available for HikCentral V1.1, and should be supported by the device. Tap to start transcoding. You need to set the resolution, frame rate, and bitrate for transcoding. Notes: This function is only available for HikCentral V1.1. Only video files stored in DVR/NVR devices support transcoding playback. Fisheye dewarping. Notes: This function need to be supported by the device. This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. Set the search conditions, including date and storage mode. 19

23 4.3.1 Starting Playback 1. Tap the area field and select the area to display its cameras. 2. Drag the camera node to the display window for playback. Notes: You can view the playback of up to 4 windows at the same time. Only the camera with video can be played. 3. (Optional) In 4-division mode, drag and move the window to adjust the window sequence. Double-tap the playback window to display the camera in 1-division mode and double-tap again to restore. 4. Tap to search the corresponding video. 1) Set the search conditions, including date and storage mode. Note: For the cameras on the current site, HikCentral provides three storage modes: encoding devices, Hybrid Storage Area Network, and Cloud Storage Server. 2) Tap Search. 5. (Optional) Slide the timeline bar to adjust the playback time of the selected window. You can also spread two fingers apart to scale up or pinch them together to scale down the timeline bar. Note: The maximum scale interval is one hour and the minimum scale interval is five minutes Stopping Playback Tap to stop the playback of all the cameras, or perform the following steps to stop the specified playback window. 1. Tap and hold the playback window. 20

24 2. Drag the window upwards until shows on the top of the window. 3. Drag the window to until it changes to and release the window Synchronous Playback In synchronous playback, you can play the video files in synchronization. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. 1. Enter the Playback page. 2. Start normal playback of one camera (refer to Chapter Starting Playback). 3. Tap in the toolbar to enable synchronous playback. Note: The icon is not available when there s no playback. 4. Start normal playback of the other camera(s). All the cameras in playback will start synchronous playback. When you drag the time bar, change the playback speed, or pause the playback, all the cameras in playback will follow. 4. Tap to disable synchronous playback. Note: Video files from up to 4 cameras can be played back simultaneously Playback Speed You can set the playback speed of the video files as 1/4X, 1/2X, 1X, 2X, and 4X. 1. Tap to select a playing window. 2. Tap and select the corresponding speed for playback. Note: The playback speed effect is related to the performance of your network and tablet hardware Clipping and Capture During playback, select a playback window and tap icon again to finish clipping. to clip the playback video and tap the Note: During the clipping, turns to and an indicator appears on the upper-left corner of the display window. 25 4.3.6 Digital Zoom You can use the digital zoom during playback of video files. Note: Digital zoom is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled or fisheye dewarping is enabled. 1. Select a window under playback. 2. Tap. The selected window will display in 1-window mode. 3. Spread two fingers apart to zoom in or pinch them together to zoom out the video. Double-tap on the playing video to digitally zoom Entering PIP Mode The live view window can display on the playback window at the same time. In this mode, you can view the playback and live view of the camera simultaneously. Note: This function is not supported after hardware decoding is enabled. 1. Select a playback window. 2. Tap. The selected window will display on the full screen, and the live video of the camera shows in an inset window in the upper-right corner. 3. Drag and move the inset window to adjust its position. 4. Tap the inset window to switch the live view and playback. Example: If the live view shows in the inset window, tap the inset window and the live view displays on the full screen and the playback video shows in the inset window. The following icons are available for controlling the playback: Icon Description Pause the playback. 22

29 Chapter 5 Alarm You can get an instant alarm notification if the alarms are configured for being pushed to the Mobile Client. You can also manage the alarm information, including checking the alarm information in the Mobile Client and filtering the alarms as desired. 5.1 Alarm Notification The alarms of the cameras that are added to the Blazer Pro, Blazer Express, or the current site and the remote site of HikCentral can be pushed to your Mobile Client if you enable the alarm notification. You can check the alarm information and view the alarm linked live video and playback. Notes: For enabling alarm notification, refer to Chapter 8.3 Alarm Notification. Configure the camera with alarm notification as alarm linkage. For details, refer to the User Manual of Blazer Pro Web Client, User Manual of Blazer Express Web Client, or User Manual of HikCentral Web Client. Before you start: Please allow HikCentral HD to send notifications to your tablet in Settings -> Notification Center of your tablet, so that you can receive the alarm notifications. When the Mobile Client receives the alarm notification, the following window opens. Note: If you do not run the Mobile Client or it runs in the background, you can go to the notification center of your tablet to check the received alarm notification. You can check the detailed information of the alarm, including the alarm type, alarm time, and the alarm source. Tap Live View or Playback to view the live video or play back the video file of the camera. Note: You can search the related video file of the day when the alarm occurred, and you can play it from 5 minutes before the alarm occurs. E.g., if the motion detection alarm occurred at 11:30, then the video file plays from 11:25. 26

30 5.2 Alarm Information You can check the alarm information in the Alarm module, and mark and filter the alarms as desired. 1. Tap Alarm to enter the Alarm page. You can check the alarm details, including alarm type, alarm source, and alarm time. By default, alarms triggered on the current day will display. Notes: For HikCentral V1.1, you can see the device alarm time and mobile alarm time. When the remote site is not in the same time zone as the current site, you can see two different alarm times. Swipe upwards to load more alarm information, and swipe downwards to get the latest alarm information. 2. Tap to mark the corresponding alarm information. You can tap the icon again to unmark it. 3. Tap Filter to filter the alarms. 1) Set start time and end time. 2) Set Show Marked Alarm Only switch to ON to display the marked alarm only. 3) Tap OK to save the filter condition. If you want to clear all the filter conditions, tap Reset. 4. Tap or to view the live video or play the video file of the camera. Note: You can search the related video file of the day when the alarm occurred, and you can play it from 5 minutes before the alarm occurs. E.g., if the motion detection alarm occurred at 11:30, then the video file plays from 11:25. 27

31 Chapter 6 Business Intelligence With the BI function, you can turn the raw data into useful information for business analysis purposes, such as ANPR and Heat Map. Notes: If the License you purchased does not support the Business Intelligence module, you will not see the module displayed on the Home page. Blazer Express supports ANPR and Heat Map. For details, refer to Chapter 6.1 ANPR and Chapter 6.2 Heat Map. Blazer Pro and HikCentral only support Heat Map. For details, refer to Chapter 6.2 Heat Map. Tap Business Intelligence (hereafter simplified as BI) on the Home page to enter the BI page. 6.1 ANPR The ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) report displays the total number of vehicles detected by ANPR cameras, to reflect the traffic flow in a period of time. 1. Tap to enter the ANPR page. 2. Tap the Camera tab or the Area tab and select a camera or an area. If you select an area, the cameras in this area will be selected. 3. Set the time period for the report. You can tap Today, Yesterday, Last Week, Last Month to quickly generate the report in that period. You can also tap Custom and set the time period according to the actual needs. 4. Tap or to show the report in a line chart or histogram form. 5. Move the cursor along the horizontal axis to view the traffic flow (vehicle number) of the camera or the area on each time point. Horizontal axis: The time point (hour). 28

32 Vertical axis: The traffic flow (vehicle number). 6.2 Heat Map A heat map is a graphical representation of data represented by colors. This function is usually used to analyze the visit times and dwell time of customers in a configured area. 1. Tap to enter the Heat Map page. 2. Tap Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Annual to select the time type for the report. 3. (Optional) Tap and select the specified date to generate the report. 4. Tap to select a camera in the Camera list. The related heat map displays on the right. 29

33 Chapter 7 Picture and Video Management In the Picture and Video Management page, you can view and manage the local video files and pictures that you manually record (clip) and capture in the Live View and Remote Playback page. The pictures and video files are stored in the HikCentral HD directory of the SD card. You can also share the pictures and video files to other available applications. Note: The pictures and videos are listed by date. Tap Picture and Video on the Home page to enter the Picture and Video management page. If you want to share the pictures and videos to third-party applications, such as Facebook, Twitter, or Dropbox, perform the following steps. 1. Tap Select. 2. Select the pictures and videos for sending. 3. Tap and select the application to share. Notes: For Facebook and Twitter, only pictures can be shared. Pictures and videos in tablet album cannot be shared. For Facebook, you can only share one picture at a time; For Twitter, you can share multiple pictures at a time; For Dropbox, you can only share one picture or video file at a time. If you want to delete the pictures and videos in batch, perform the steps below. 1. Tap Select. 2. Select the pictures and videos you want to delete. 3. Tap to delete the selected file(s). Or tap Cancel to cancel it. 30

34 7.1 Picture Management 1. Tap a picture and the picture displays in full screen. Tap if you want to delete it, and tap and select application to share the picture. 2. Pinch two fingers together to zoom out or spread them apart to zoom in the picture. Double-tap on the picture to use digital zoom. You can also slide to pan the picture under zoom-in mode. 3. Tap to return to Picture and Video page. 7.2 Video Management 1. Tap a video and the video shows in full screen. You can tap if you want to delete it, and tap and select application to share the video. 2. Tap to play it. You can slide the timeline bar to adjust the playback time. 35 Chapter 8 Local Configuration Tap Me on Home page to enter the Me page for local configuration. 8.1 Account Tap the Account tab and the history login system and account will display in the login list. You can tap the history login account to switch the system and account conveniently. You can check the login information, including user name, user type, login mode, and system information. Click the Alias field and enter a name for the server as desired. 8.2 Auto-Enable Live View in View Mode You can select a view to automatically play it when you enter the Live View mode. 1. Tap the Settings tab to enter the Local Settings page. 2. Tap Auto-Enable Live View in View Mode and set the Auto-Enable Live View in View Mode switch to ON. 3. Tap to select a view. The view will play automatically when you enter the Video module. 8.3 Alarm Notification 1. Tap the Settings tab to enter the Local Settings page. 2. Set the Alarm Notification switch to ON to enable the alarm notification for receiving the alarm information. 32

36 8.4 Hardware Decoding Hardware Decoding can provide better decoding performance and lower CPU usage when playing the HD videos during live view or playback. 1. Tap the Settings tab to enter the Local Settings page. 2. Set the Hard-Decoding Preferred switch to ON to enable decoding by hardware for live view and playback. Notes: Hardware decoding doesn't support manual capture, digital zoom, fisheye dewarping, PIP mode, and synchronous playback. If hardware decoding cannot be enabled, it will switch to software decoding. 8.5 Flow Statistics The network traffic consumed during live view and remote playback can be checked. You can check the mobile network traffic and Wi-Fi network traffic separately. 1. Tap the Settings tab to enter the Local Settings page. 2. Tap Flow Statistics to enter Flow Statistics page to view the data usage. Mobile Network: Refer to the cellular data consumed during live view and remote playback. Wi-Fi: Refer to the Wi-Fi data consumed during live view and remote playback. Current Day: The traffic data consumed today. Current Month: The traffic data consumed this month. History: The traffic data consumed since you started using the software. 3. (Optional) You can tap Clear to remove the data. 8.6 About 1. Tap the Settings tab to enter the Local Settings page. 2. Tap About to enter the About page to view the Mobile Client information. You can also click Privacy Policy, Open Source Software License, and End User License Agreement to view the related content. 3. Tap New Features to view the new features of the Mobile Client. 4. If the Software Update displays, tap Software Update to update the client. Note: The Software Update item displays when there is a new version available in the Google Play. 33
