2 Thank you for choosing our phone. In order to use the phone more efficiently please read closely the User Manual. myphone 3200i is intended to be used in GSM/GPRS network at frequency 900/1800MHz. Stylish casing, contrast, colour display, flashlight, Bluetooth and Dual SIM mark your myphone 3200i. SAFETY Read these simple guidelines. Not following them may be dangerous or illegal. DO NOT RISK Do not switch the telephone on when mobile phone use is prohibited or if it may cause interference or danger. 2

3 SAFETY WHILE DRIVING Do not use the phone while driving. INTERFERENCE All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. RESTRICTED AREAS Turn off your phone in the plane, because it can interfere with other on-board measuring devices. Your phone can also interfere with medical equipment in hospitals or health care facilities. Follow prohibitions, regulations and warnings communicated by signs and / or medical personnel. QUALIFIED SERVICE Only qualified personnel may install or repair this product. Only qualified personnel may install or repair this product. Repairing by an unauthorized service may cause a phone damage and warranty loss. BATTERY AND ACCESSORIES Avoid exposing the battery to very high/low temperatures (below 0 C/32 F and over 40 C/104 F). Extreme temperatures may influence capacity and battery life. 3

4 Avoid contact with liquids and metal objects as it may cause partial or complete battery damage. The battery should be used according to its purpose. Disconnect unused charger from mains supply. Excessive charging the battery can cause damage. Therefore, a single battery charge should not last longer than three days. Use only original myphone accessories available with your phone. Unused charger should be disconnected from power supply. Damaged charger cable should not be repaired only replaced with a new charger. Use only original myphone accessories available with your phone. Inserting an incorrect battery type may cause an explosion. Please dispose of the battery as instructed. WATER RESISTANCE The device is not waterproof. Protect it from moisture. ALARM CALLS Making alarm calls may not be possible in some areas or 4

5 circumstances. It is recommended to find an alternative way to notify emergency services if you are going to undeveloped or remote areas. CHILDREN The phone is not a toy. 10 Contents of myphone 3200i Before you start using your phone please make sure if all of the following elements are included in the box: phone myphone 3200i, battery, charger, user manual, warranty card. If any of the above items is missing or damaged, please contact your dealer. There is a sticker containing the IMEI and serial number on the packaging of myphone FLIP set. Therefore it is recommended to keep the packaging in case of any complaint. Keep the container out of reach of children. 10

Turning on/off the phone *Attention: Do not turn on the phone in places where using mobile phones is forbidden or when it may cause interference or danger. To turn the phone on/off press and hold the <red handset> key. If the phone asks you for a PIN code, enter the code (it will be displayed as: ****) and press the <OK> key. SIM card, memory card and battery inserting If the phone is turned on switch it off. Remove the back 13

14 cover undermine it with your fingernail. Use the slot marked on the picture below. Insert the SIM card SIM card should be placed with its gold contacts facing down in a way that the recess is stamped. Insert the memory card. Micro SD memory card must be placed with its gold contacts facing down, in a way that its recess is stamped (see picture below). The maximum supported capacity of memory card is 4GB. 15 Insert the battery it should be inserted in such a way so that the gold connectors on the battery contact the gold contacts in battery recess in your mobile phone (see picture below). Put on the back cover (gently pressing it into place and tightening until). Battery charging Attach micro USB cable to micro USB slot in your phone. Then plug it in the mains. *Attention: Improper connection of the charger can cause serious damage to your phone. Damage caused by misuse is not covered by your warranty. 15

16 During charging an icon appears on the display. Unplug the charger from the electrical outlet after charging. Disconnect the charger cable from the charging slot in your mobile phone. Low battery indicator information When the battery is discharged, you will see a low battery indicator on display. The battery icon is empty. If the battery level is too low, the phone automatically turns off. To use the phone, re-charge the battery. 2. Using the basic features Keypad lock To lock/unlock the keypad press and hold (for about 2 seconds) <*> key on phone`s keypad. The keypad will be locked/unlocked. When the phone screen is blank - briefly press any key on keypad to activate it. Menu access To enter phone`s Menu press <OK> key or [Menu] key on the keypad. 16

17 Using navigation keys <up>, <down>, <left> or <right> enter the appropriate option in Menu. Press [Ok], to confirm your choice (enter selected option) or [Back], to go back to previous screen. Customize your phone myphone 3200i can be customized to meet your needs. It will make using it easier and more enjoyable. Sounds and User profiles To set the volume level, press <up> or <down> key on main screen to adjust the volume level. Enter [Profiles] to set the User Profile. You will find it in [Menu] [Settings] [Profiles]. Press [Menu] key, to enter main Menu. Then, using navigation keys enter option [Settings] [Profiles] and press [Ok]. Select the profile from the list and press [Options] [Activate] [Select], to activate the profile, or [Options] [Customize] [Select], to edit the profile according to your preferences. 17

18 There are the following options available: [Ring type] select [Options] [Change] [Select] and select the ring type. [SIM1 Ringtone] option allowing to change the ringtone for incoming calls for SIM1 enter [Options] [Change] [Select], select melody and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. [SIM2 Ringtone] option allowing to change the ringtone for incoming calls for SIM2 enter [Options] [Change] [Select], select melody and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. [Ringtone volume] - select [Options] [Change] [Select] and press <up> and <down> keys to set the volume level. [SIM1 message] change the sound of incoming messages for SIM1 - select [Options] [Change] [Select], select the sound you like and confirm by pressing [Ok]. [SIM2 message] change the sound of incoming messages for SIM2 - select [Options] [Change] [Select], select the sound you like and confirm by pressing [Ok]. [Message volume] change the volume for incoming message select [Options] [Change] [Select] 18

19 press <up> and <down> keys to set the volume level. [Keypad] - select [Options] [Change] [Select] and select the type of keypad sound (Silent, Click, Tone), confirm by pressing [Ok] key. [Keytone volume] change the keytone volume select [Options] [Change] [Select] and press <up> and <down> keys to set the volume level. [Power on] select [Options] [Change] [Select] and select the sound that will be performed during turning on the phone, and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. [Power off] select [Options] [Change] [Select] and select the sound that will be performed during turning off the phone, and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. [System alert] select [Options] [Change] [Select] and enable or disable system alert sounds (ex. low battery status), confirm by pressing [Ok] key. Attention! To save all changes press [Options] [Save], and confirm by pressing [Select]. Otherwise the changes will not be saved. Connectivity options Making a phone call In standby mode enter a phone number using alphanumeric keypad. 19

20 It is recommended to enter the code number and then the phone number. Press <green handset> key, to establish connection and select the SIM card you want to use (in case of Dual SIM set to both SIM cards). Press <red handset> key, to terminate a phone call. Answering the phone During an incoming call press <green handset> key or [Options] [Answer] to answer incoming call. Press <red handset> key, to reject / terminate the phone call. Text messages Sending messages Select: [Menu] [Messages] [New message]. Enter the text using phone`s keypad. Characters are entered letter by letter. Key <#> is used to change the writing mode. There are the following modes available: Pl the first letter is capitalized, the rest is small, 20

21 123 only digits, PL only uppercase letters, pl only lowercase letters. In order to enter a special character, for example: a dot, a comma or a hyphen etc., press the key <*> and select a symbol from the list or press the <1> key as many times as needed (not in 123 mode). To make a space between two words press the key <0> (not in 123 mode). An example of entering characters: To enter letter b, press the 2 key twice. To enter letter d, press the 3 key once, etc. After entering the text of the message press [Options], and select [Send to]. Select the SIM card from which you want to send the message (in case of Dual SIM set to two SIM cards). A list of options appears: [Enter number] enter a number using the numeric keypad and press [Ok] key. [Add from Phonebook] when you select this option, simply enter the first few letters of the contact name to search for it in the Phonebook. 21

22 Select [Add], to confirm your choice. After entering a number / selecting a contact, enter: [Options] [Send], to send a message. Message displaying Enter: [Menu] [Messaging] [Inbox], select a message from the list, enter [Options] [Preview] [Select], to read the message. Phonebook in myphone 3200i Add new contact To add new contact, select: [Menu] [Phonebook] [Options] [Add new contact] [Select] [to SIM1] (or [to SIM2], [to phone]) [Ok]. Enter contact`s data - mark the name or number and press <OK>. After entering the number/name press <OK>. Select [Options] [Save], to save the contact. To move contacts between SIM card and phone`s memory, select: [Menu] [Phonebook] [Options] [Phonebook settings] [Move contacts] [From Phone] (or [from SIM1], [from SIM2]), select [To SIM1], [To SIM2] or [To phone] and confirm by pressing [Ok]. Searching for contact To search for contact, select: [Menu] [Phonebook]. 22

23 Enter first letter of contact`s name. Contacts starting with this letter appear on the list. To search through these contacts simply use the navigation keys <up> and <down>. After finding the desired contact and pressing Options a list of options appears: [Call] make a phone call. [Add new contact] add new contact. [View] view contact`s details (name and number). [Send text message] send text message. [Edit] edit contact`s data. [Delete] delete contact. [Copy] to copy the contact information from the appropriate SIM card to the phone memory or the other way. [Add to Blacklist] add a contact to the list of blocked contacts. [Mark several] send message or delete many contacts at once. [Phonebook settings] contains additional settings such as preferred storage, speed dial, extra numbers, memory status, etc. 23

24 Delete contacts To delete all contacts, select: [Menu] [Phonebook] [Options] [Settings] [Delete all] [Ok]. To delete single contact, select: [Menu] [Phonebook] search for contact you want to delete [Options] [Delete] [Yes]. 3. Advanced features Call a contact from Phonebook To establish connection with contact saved in [Phonebook] submenu perform the following steps: Select [Menu] in standby mode. Enter [Phonebook], and confirm by pressing [Ok]. Select a contact form the list (enter the Name by using a keypad) and establish connection by pressing <green handset> key on the keypad or select [Options] [Connect] [Select]. Missed calls / messages Missed calls are shown on the display. A message about a missed call and an icon appears on 24

25 display:. To check who phoned: Press [View]. The other way to check it is entering [Call history]. Select [Menu] [Call history] [Missed calls] [Ok]. To call missed number select it from the list of missed calls and press <green handset> key on the keypad. Loudspeaker During an active phone call enter [Options] [H-Free/H- Held] to activate loudspeaker mode. Speed dial Select [Menu] [Phonebook] [Options] [Settings] [Speed dial]. A list of options appears: [Status] (to check the service status) and [Set numbers] (to program speed dial numbers). Move the cursor to [Status], then press [Ok] and set status to [On]. Select option [Set numbers]. On the left side of the display there are the numbers that correspond with the buttons of the keyboard, next to them there are programmed speed dial contacts. 25

26 Using the option [Edit] from your Phonebook select a cantact that can be assigned to the corresponding key of [Speed dial]. After selecting the contacts press <green handset key> to go back to the main screen. To make a connection using speed dial function press and hold (for about 3 seconds) the key with assigned number. Dual SIM Dual SIM allows you to use two SIM cards simultaneously. To use this function install two SIM cards in your phone (SIM cards slots are located under the battery). Enter [Menu] [Settings] [Dual SIM Settings] There are three options available: [Dual SIM] to use two SIM cards simultaneously. [Only SIM1 open] to use inly SIM1. [Only SIM2 open] to use only SIM2. If you choose option Dual SIM cards, the phone, in the execution of each call, or SMS will prompt the user through which SIM card message will be sent / call made. 26

27 Connecting the phone to PC myphone 3200i can be connected to a PC via USB interface. This allows you to preview and exchange data between the computer and the phone. To do it proceed as follows: insert micro USB cable to micro USB slot in your phone (located at the bottom of the phone), then connect USB-A plug to USB slot in your computer. Attention: Due to the phone cover it is recommended to use the cable with metal micro USB connector not shorter than 7mm. Some wires with too short blades can cause problems with the proper plugging. An information about USB connection should appear on phone`s display. Select [USB storage] from the list. The phone is connected to your computer. The contents of the memory card can be viewed with the use of Windows Explorer. The COM port is used to create the UART type (modem) connection, the manufacturer does not recommend using this option. International calls In standby mode press <*> key, until a + appears on display. 27

28 Enter the full phone number (country code, city code and contact number), and press green handset key, to establish a phone-call. 4. Other features Date and time settings To set date and time select the following option: [Menu] [Settings] [Phone settings] [Time and date]. Select [Time and date] and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. Enter current time using the numeric keypad. Move down using navigation key <down> to enter current date. Save changes by pressing <OK> or by selecting [Save]. In option [Phone settings] [Time and date] [Set format] select the appropriate type of date and time you want to perform on display. To set or change the language select the following option: [Menu] [Settings] [Phone settings] [Language]. Select preferred language from the list. 28

29 Display settings [Menu] [Settings] [Phone settings] [Display]: [Wallpaper] select [System] (if you want to view system wallpapers) or [User defined] (if you want to add your own wallpaper from micro SD card), then select an image from the list. To see a preview of chosen wallpaper select <OK>. To set an image as a wallpaper, press [OK]. [Power on display] select to change the animation that will be shown while turning on the phone. [Power off display] select to change the animation that will be shown while turning off the phone. [Show date and time] enable /disable showing date and time on the main screen. Call settings Available in [Menu] [Settings] [Call settings] [Advanced settings]. There are the following settings available: blacklist, auto redial, call time reminder or answer mode. Alarm configuration Select [Tools] from main Menu. Select [Alarm] from the list using <up> 29

30 and <down> keys, and confirm by pressing [Ok]. Select any option from the list and press option [Edit]. There are the following options available: [Status] enable or disable the alarm. [Time] set the time of the alarm using the numeric keypad. [Snooze (min)] to set the snooze time in minutes. [Repeat] alarm repeat options (possible options once, every day, custom). [Alarm tone] set the alarm tone. To confirm alarm settings select [Options] [Save]. Calculator In menu mode select [Tools]. Select [Calculator] from the list of options and confirm by pressing [Ok] key. Basic arithmetic operations can be performed using the alphanumeric keyboard (typing numbers, digits). Actions operator can be set by using navigation key (<up> - add, <down> - subtraction, <left> - multiplication, <right> - division). 30

31 To see the result press <OK> key. Restore factory settings To restore factory settings, enter [Menu] [Settings] [Restore settings], enter phone password, confirm by pressing <OK>. Password for restoring factory settings: Flashlight To turn on the flashlight press (and hold for about 3 seconds) <flashlight> key on the keypad (<0> key). You can enable flashlight by entering [Menu] [Tools] [Torch] [On]. Attention: The light emitted by the LED has a strong focus, and therefore diode staring is not recommended for a long period of time. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to your eyes. Call history There is a [Call history] available in myphone 3200i. You will find it in [Menu] [Call history]. It is possible to search through the Call history and check what type of calls have been made or answered. Here are the following options available in submenu: Missed calls Dialled calls 31

32 Received calls Delete call logs Call times Text messages counter. To enter one of the above options select it from the list and press [Ok] key. Audio player Audio player is located in: [Menu] [Multimedia] [Audio player]. It plays music files in MP3 format. Audio files should be saved on micro SD memory card in My Music folder they will automatically be added to a playlist in audio player. Attention: Too loud or too long listening to the audio player may result in damage to your hearing. The following keys are used to operate the player: Key <right> <left> <OK> Function Next track Previous track Play/Pause 32

33 <up> <down> Repeat Random play <*> Volume down <#> Volume up After entering Audio player mode an option [Playlist] with all available tracks appears in the lower left corner of display. More audio player options are available after entering [List] [Options] [Settings]. Available options: o Playlist auto generating - enable / disable automatic playlist generating; o Repeat repeating tracks ; o Random play enable or disable random playing; o Background playing playing tracks in background; Sound recorder myphone 3200i is equipped with sound recorder it allows you to register sounds. To enable it select [Menu] [Multimedia] [Sound recorder]. To start recording select [Options] [New recording] [Ok]. To stop recording [Stop] [Yes] (during recording). 33

34 Recording will be saved on micro SD card in Audio file. To play the recording in application [Sound recorder] select [Options] [List], select the recording from the list and enter [Options] [Play]. Calendar There is a calendar available in myphone 3200i. It allows you to preview the current or any date. To enter Calendar application, enter: [Menu] [Tools] [Calendar]. Bluetooth There is a Bluetooth module available in myphone 3200i. It is used to wirelessly connect and exchange files with other devices equipped with Bluetooth function. You will find Bluetooth module in: [Menu] [Settings] [Bluetooth]. There are the following options available: Power by pressing <OK> key enable or disable (on/off) sending a Bluetooth signal. Enabling Bluetooth is indicated on the display status bar a blue icon appears. 34

35 Visibility enabling this feature allows the visibility of myphone 3200i on the list of available devices of other phones, tablets and computers equipped with Bluetooth module. [My device] there is a [Search new device] option available that allows you to view a list of devices equipped with Bluetooth, in range. This feature allows you to connect to the list of available devices. [Search audio device] This option enables you to search and connect your phone to audio devices using Bluetooth technology, e.g. a wireless Bluetooth headset. [My name] allows you to enter the name under which the phone will be visible when you connect to other Bluetooth devices. The default name is myphone 3200i. [Advanced] This option lets you set the sound transmission between Bluetooth headset and the phone (the [Audio path]) and the display of the phone's MAC address ([My address]). Pairing Bluetooth devices. To connect to a Bluetooth device, select it from the list of available devices by entering [Menu] [Settings] [Bluetooth] [Search audio device], select the device 35

36 from the list and press [Pair]. An inquire about the compatibility of your password appears on both devices. Press [Yes] to start pairing. Sending files via Bluetooth. To send a file located on the memory card to a paired (connected) device, enter: [Menu] [File manager] [Memory card] select a file from the list of available files [Options] [Send] [via Bluetooth] and search for the recipient`s device or add it from the list of paired devices. The file will be sent after acceptance by the recipient. Camera myphone 3200i is equipped with a camera. It allows you to take photos and record videos. Taking photos To take a photo enter: [Menu] [Multimedia] [Camera]. After entering the camera application, place your object in the frame, and press <OK> key on the phone to take a photo. Photos are stored by default "Photos" folder. on your micro SD card in Photos can be viewed with the use of [Image viewer] 36

37 application. ([Menu] [Multimedia] [Image viewer]). Video recording. To record a video enter [Video recorder] application in: [Menu] [Multimedia] [Video recorder] then place your object in the frame of the camera and press the <OK> key to start recording. Recorded videos are saved by default in the "Videos" folder on your micro SD card. Videos can be viewed in application [Video player] (in [Menu] [Multimedia] [Video player]). If your SIM card is secured by a PIN code, enter a PIN after turning on the phone and confirm it by pressing <OK> key. 38

39 Network error In areas where there is a weak signal or reception, making and receiving calls may be impossible. Move to another location and try again. Nobody can get through to myphone The phone must be switched on. You cannot hear the caller / caller cannot hear myphone 3200i holder. Microphone should be placed very close to your mouth. Check if the build in microphone or speaker have not been covered. If you use the headset check if it has been properly connected. Poor sound quality during a phone call. Make sure if the speaker and the microphone have not been covered. It is impossible to make a phone call. Check if number entered with the use of numeric 39

40 keypad is correct. Check if number saved in [Phonebook] is correct; If it is necessary, enter the correct number. 5. Care and maintenance Proper battery use The battery is powered via a charger. If the battery level is low, charge it. To extend battery life, let it be up to land before connecting to the charger. If you are not using a charger, disconnect it from the phone. Overcharging will shorten battery life. Battery temperature affects the quality of charging. Before you start charging, the battery can be cooled or heated so that it`s temperature is similar to the standard conditions of peace. If the battery temperature exceeds 40 degrees, the battery cannot be charged! Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Avoid leaving the battery in the magnetic field as it can shorten it`s life. Do not use the battery if it has been damaged. Battery life may be shortened if it is exposed to very low or very high temperatures, this causes interference to the 40

41 phone, even if the battery is charged properly. Do not dispose used battery in a fire! Do not throw away old, unused battery - send it or return to an authorized recycling collection site. Care and maintenance To extend life of your device, follow the guidelines: Keep the phone and its accessories out of reach of children. Avoid very high temperatures; it could shorten electric components life, melt plastic parts or destroy battery. Do not attempt to disassemble the device. Unprofessional interference in the structure of the phone can severely damage or destroy it. Do not use a high concentration of acidic or alkaline for cleaning your phone, use only a dry cloth. Use only original accessories; violation of this rule may invalidate the warranty. Exposing your phone to extreme temperatures can reduce the level of protection. It is recommended to not to use the phone in temperatures lower than 0 C / 32 F or higher than 40 C / 100 F. Safety information While using your phone, consider regulations concerning 41

42 user and environmental safety. Safety while driving Apart from emergency situations, headset should be used always while driving a car. This will ensure safety during a phone call the movements won`t be restricted. If you do not have a headset, and you need to use the phone, pull over and stop the car. Please take into account regulations concerning using a phone while driving. Certain electronic components of the car, without adequate protection, may be affected by the phone. It is advisable to use your phone in the car only when the external antenna of the vehicle is properly secured. Use the services of a specialist when installing your phone in the car. Environment safety Turn off the phone in places where its use is prohibited or where it may cause disruption and danger. Using any devices that use radio waves can cause interference to medical devices (e.g. stethoscope, or pacemaker), if they are not properly secured (if in doubt, consult your physician or medical device producer). *Attention: In places with high risk of explosion (e.g. Petrol 42

43 stations, chemical plants, etc.) it is advisable to turn off the phone. Check out the regulations governing the use of GSM equipment in these places. Technological criteria Network: GSM 900/1800 Some services may depend on your service provider, the state of the local GSM network, version of your SIM card and the way you are using your phone. For more information contact your service provider.
