Plug the Motorola charger into the end of the headset. The indicator light turns red when the battery is charging. It may take up to minute for the indicator light to turn on. When the headset's battery is fully charged (about hours), the indicator light turns green. Disconnect the charger. Note: Headset is not functional while charging with travel charger.

2 Charging with desktop charger: START BLUETOOTH FEATURE Your Phone Your phone's Bluetooth feature is off by default. To use your headset, you must turn on the Bluetooth feature in your phone. s Plug in the travel charger into the charger port. Plug the headset into the port on the desktop charger as shown. The desktop charger light is lit, and the headset indicator light turns red when the battery is charging. It may take up to minute for the headset indicator light to turn on. When the headset's battery is fully charged (about hours), the headset indicator light turns green. Remove headset from charger when ready to use. Note: Headset is functional while charging with desktop charger with the boom open. To operate, remove from charger. Note: This product uses a lithium ion, rechargeable, non-replaceable battery. Under normal use, the expected life of the rechargeable battery is approximately 400 charges.. For most Motorola phones (at the main menu): Press M (Menu) > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth Link > Setup. 4 5 Scroll to Power. Select Change. Scroll to On. Press Select to turn on the Bluetooth feature. The Bluetooth feature remains on until you turn it off. Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones. For other phones, see your phone's user's guide. PA Your Headse Before you can use your headset, you must pair (link) it with your phone. Step A - ENSURE HEADSET IS IN PAIRING MODE Open the headset boom to power on the headset and initiate pairing. The indicator light first flashes during power up, then initiates easy pairing. After a few moments, the indicator light will be steadily lit in blue to indicate headset is in pairing mode. The phone lists Bluetooth devices it finds. Select Motorola H5. Select OK or Yes to pair your headset with your phone. Enter the passkey: 0000 Select OK. When your headset successfully pairs with your phone, the indicator light flashes purple and blue. Note: These steps are for most Motorola phones. For other phones, see your phone's user's guide.

To confirm they are operating properly, make a call: Place the headset over your ear. See "Wearing the Headset" on the reverse side of this guide. All rights reserved. If your phone and headset are successfully paired, you will hear ringing on the headset. After you have successfully paired your phone and headset, you don't need to repeat these steps. For daily use, ensure that your headset is turned ON and that your phone's Bluetooth feature is ON. To conserve power, close the boom to turn your headset off. Re-open the boom to make a call. USING A SECOND PHONE? Multipoint technology allows you to make and receive calls from two Bluetooth enabled devices like your personal and business phones. To pair a second phone to your headset, follow these steps: Turn off any phones or devices that are already paired with your headset. Turn off your headset by closing the headset boom. Perform Step ( Start Bluetooth Feature ), Step ( Pair ), and Step 4 ( Test and Use ) to pair your headset with your second phone. Your most recently paired phone is now your primary phone for voice dial functionality. 4 To connect to both phones, turn on first phone. 5 Close the headset boom and then re-open it. The headset automatically connects to both phones. The last paired phone is now your primary phone for voice dial functionality. TIPS FOR USING H5 WITH TWO PHONES Use the following tips when using H5's multipoint technology: Incoming calls can be answered from both phones: When answering a call, the idle phone is disconnected from the headset. When the call ends, the idle phone is automatically reconnected to the headset. Last number redial dials the last outgoing call made from the primary phone. Voice dial is accessible from either phone via different key actions: For your primary device (last paired phone), tap the Call button until you hear the tone. For your secondary device (other paired phone), tap the Call button and either Volume button until you hear the tone.

4 USING YOUR H5 See Features and Functions Guide on the reverse side for information on using your H5 TROUBLES My headset will not enter pairing mode. Make sure that any devices previously paired with the headset are turned off. If the indicator light is flashing in blue, first turn off the other device, then close and reopen the headset boom. The indicator light becomes steadily lit in blue indicating the headset is now in pairing mode. My phone doesn't find my headset. Make sure the indicator light on your headset is on (lit in blue) and steady when your phone is searching for devices (see step ). My headset worked before but now it's not working. Make sure your phone is on and the Bluetooth feature is turned on in your phone (see step ). If the Bluetooth feature was turned off or was turned on only temporarily, you may need to restart the Bluetooth feature (see step ) and pair your phone and headset again (see step ). SHOOTING My headset will not pair with my phone. If the LED is solid blue, open the boom flip, and press and hold both Volume buttons and the Call button for about 0 seconds. The indicator light flashes (Green, Red, Blue) times and then become steadily lit. The headset is now in pairing mode. See step B to complete the pairing process. If the LED is blinking red, press and hold both Volume buttons and the Call button for about 0 seconds. The indicator will become steadily lit blue. The headset is now in pairing mode. Make sure the L indicator light on your headphones is on and steady when your phone is searching for devices (see step ). My headphones worked with my phone before but now their not working. If the Bluetooth feature has been turned off or was turned on only temporarily, you may need to restart the Bluetooth feature (see step ). 5 Features and Functions Guide H5 Bluetooth Handsfree Headset IMPORTANT: Be sure to first follow the Quick Start Guide on the reverse side of this guide to complete initial setup of your H5. TURNING HEADSET ON AND OFF To turn ON your H5, open the headset boom. The indicator light first flashes blue three times, then: flashes blue slowly after flashing purple/blue (if paired and connected with a phone), or becomes steady blue (if ready to be paired). To turn OFF your H5, close the headset boom. The indicator light will turn off. Boom Open To Turn On Close To Turn Off EAR CUSHIONS AND Y YOUR HEADSET Your H5 headset is supplied with multiple ear cushions. Your headset s performance is greatly dependent upon achieving a good fit on your ear. Therefore, we recommend trying all the supplied ear cushions with your headset. When fitting an oval-shaped ear cushion on your headset, be sure the cushion is oriented, as shown below (pointing towards the microphone). The ear cushion is fitted onto the end of your headset s earpiece speaker like shown, and placed onto your ear when using your headset.

6 WEARING THE HEADSET To wear your headset, flex the earhook and loop it over your ear, as shown. CHANGING FOR USE ON OTHER EAR You can wear your H5 headset on your left or right ear. The headset comes ready for the right ear. To change the headset for the left ear: Gently lift and pull the top of the earhook up and off speaker stem, as shown. Flip the headset over. Be sure to position the ear cushion into your ear canal for optimal audio performance and comfort. Attach the earhook to the speaker stem, as shown. QUICK BATTERY CHECK USING YOUR DESKTOP CHARGER When not in a call or connected, press and release both Volume buttons. While in the desktop charger, the headset remains on and still connected to the phone. The indicator light displays charge status until you release the buttons. See below for details on indicator light and available talk time based on charge status.
