3 Step 1. Understand your customer s needs As an IBO part of your role is trusted advisor to your potential customers. Ask the customer how they use their phone or tablet and what is their current monthly data usage. Mostly voice and text - Flash Yellow network would be a good fit in most metropolitan areas. For suburban / rural areas, check to see if they live in a strong Flash Yellow service area. Average to heavy data user (above 6 GB per month) - Check to see if they live in a strong Flash Yellow service area. See page 5. If customer s primary use area is not in a strong Flash Yellow service area, suggest the Flash Green network to ensure they get the best customer experience. Remember, a good customer experience is the key to keeping a long-term customer! 3

Focus your Flash Yellow customer acquisition efforts on these areas to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention. Customers who don t live in a strong service area may experience slower data speeds, lower quality / dropped calls, etc. This is simply due to network signal strength. Buying a New Device: Setting It Up If your customer purchases a new device from Flash Wireless or a Marketplace Partner, they will need your help to transfer the contents of their old phone.

16 Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Overview If your customer is bringing their own device: The device will generally be approved if it has met the following criteria: Financial and contractual commitments met with original carrier. Device not reported as lost, stolen or fraudulently obtained and device operating system not altered or modified. Device has original ESN (serial number) as assigned by manufacturer. If your device is capable of using multiple networks, please ensure that your device is unlocked. The compatibility check only validates your device is compatible with the network. It will not check if your device is unlocked. If you are unsure whether your device is unlocked please check with your current or previous service provider. The customer will need the 4-digit account PIN code they set up when they opened their account with the provider, in order to request the unlock. Flash Wireless cannot unlock the device. Warning: If your device is locked, it will fail activation following the completion of your order and payment. To transfer their phone number, your customer will need to contact their previous service provider. They will need their account number and the 4-digit account PIN code they set up when they opened their account with the provider, in order to request the number transfer. BYOD Checklist Your customer needs the following from their previous service provider for BYOD: Account number Account PIN Device unlock confirmation To sign up for a data plan, the device must be 4G LTE-capable. A 3G device can only be used for Talk and Text plans. Device model must be compatible with Flash Yellow. See Device Appendix. Help your customer get correct SIM card for their specific device. See page

17 Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Steps If customers don t want to buy a new device, they can bring their own to Flash Wireless! 1. Ensure Device Is Unlocked Flash Yellow supports specific unlocked phones. If phone is currently locked, the original carrier must unlock it. 2. Go to Flashwireless.com, select the Yellow Network and click on Bring Your Own Device 3. Check Device Compatibility Flash Yellow supports specific unlocked phones and most phones purchased from Sprint. If phone is currently locked and not purchased from Sprint, the original carrier must unlock it. 4. Get a Valid SIM Card If the phone was originally purchased from Sprint, its existing SIM Card can be reused. If not, cross-reference the device to the proper SIM Card Part #.
