4 About the exam To evaluate your expertise, the exam tests modeling skills utilizing Solid Edge functionality. You will be required to construct a number of models. Once each is completed, you will be asked to provide answers about the model, such as volume, distance, and in some cases, area, as proof that your model is correct. Bear in mind that there are many valid ways of creating the models, and while completely different modeling strategies may be employed by individual users, there is only one set of correct physical properties.

5 About the exam 3 hour time limit (uninterrupted) If time expires, your answers will be saved and automatically submitted for scoring. You can skip a question and come back to it (Use the Return button). Each question contains a detailed drawing containing all information required to create a model. Enter your answer in the box provided at the bottom of each question. Make sure to enter an answer as a whole number (example: 90000, not 90,000 and not mm). A material properties assignment is not necessary. All models are based on metric (mm) units.

10 Preparation Professional users can best prepare for the certification exam by completing the Solid Edge Fundamentals course modules delivered with Solid Edge. These courses contain materials used either directly or indirectly by our resellers. Both the instructor-led and self-paced content is available.
