This course focuses on using efficiency tools including grips and tool palettes, drawing with complex objects, advanced text objects, defining standard blocks, dynamic blocks and blocks with attributes, using external reference files and image files, using layouts and advanced plotting features, creating sheet sets, and enhancing productivity with simple customization of AutoCAD. David is also the author of more than a dozen books on AutoCAD. David travels the country teaching classes for AUGI, including AutoCAD and Revit. He has presented numerous seminars on Building Information Modeling and what it means for both commercial and government agencies. KEN KAUNO Application Engineer & Instructor Ken s longevity with The Group and the industry makes him a huge asset to our customers. Ken s experience includes over 10 years experience working in the CAD industry with a specialization in AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Structure, AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD at all user levels. EUGENE O DAY, IX Application Engineer & Instructor, Revit Evangelist The Group and their customers recognize Eugene as one of the leading experts on the Revit product line. He has over 17 years of professional teaching experience at accredited Autodesk Authorized Training Centers, such as Clackamas Community College and The Group. Not only has Eugene traveled the world teaching on Autodesk products to companies such as Hewlett Packard, he has also served closer to home as an advisor for the Portland Public School District for new drafting instructor hires. A Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) and Implementation Certified Expert (ICE), he has been instrumental in developing Civil 3D standards at many firms through out the Pacific Northwest. Kevin s diversified background includes experience not only teaching, consulting and implementing, but actually working in the survey industry. He is a repeat guest speaker at the annual Land Surveyors of Washington (LSAW) conference. Kevin also helped to facilitate the first ever Portland Civil 3D user group. DUSTY GALLINGER Application Engineer & Instructor Dusty s career experience includes 8 years as an Autodesk Technical Specialist. He is recognized by both and Autodesk as an Application Developer for Autodesk products consisting of the development and implementation of third party add-ons for Autodesk products. Dusty is an annual instructor for Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) Cad Camp and regularly teaches classes for Autodesk Authorized Training Centers such as The Group. VOLKER COCCO Application Engineer & Instructor Volker has more than 16 years experience in customizing and integrating Autodesk applications as well as over 13 years as an instructor for Autodesk Authorized Training Centers such as The Group. He was also involved in the development of custom programs which integrated Autodesk Civil/GIS products with databases and applications for major utility companies on the East Coast, Pacific Northwest and Alaska. Volker supports products such as AutoCAD and AutoCAD Map 3D. CRAIG BATCHELOR Application Engineer & Instructor Craig s career experience includes more than 10 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD as a production design drafter/cad Manager and consultant. Craig has also worked in environmental sciences including geotechnical design and environmental reports as well as civil site engineering. His focus is on supporting and instructing on advanced topics for products such as AutoCAD Civil 3D. HEIDI BOUTWELL Application Engineer & Instructor Heidi comes to with 10 years of Civil Design experience where she used her skills acquired from her degree in Civil Engineering Technology to specialize in water and sewer design as well as subdivision design, commercial design, multiphase single family and master planned communities. She supports and instructs on the Autodesk Civil Engineering product line. Heidi also formerly served as the first Portland Civil 3D User Group president. JESSE CLARK Application Engineer & Instructor Jesse has over 8 years of progressive experience in a production environment using products such as AutoCAD Land Desktop and AutoCAD Civil 3D. His most recent experience includes work in utility design, residential development, grading, infrastructure database development, technical writing and coordination and negotiations on civil municipal construction projects. He supports and instructs on the Autodesk Civil Engineering product line. KEVIN FARACA Application Engineer & Instructor Kevin has over 16 years of experience in the Civil Engineering industry. Some of you may recognize his name as he previously worked in software sales and support for for over 4 years.
