The labs provide an excellent introduction to popular applications and bring students to a level where basic skills are mastered and an understanding of some of the more advanced capabilities of Microsoft Office are understood conceptually. This workbook is specifically designed as a supplement to Fluency with Information Technology: Skills, Concepts, and Capabilities by Lawrence Snyder ( the FIT book ). Many people teaching or taking a traditional Computer Literacy course want to embrace the basic tenets of Computer Fluency, and this workbook, together with the FIT book, allows them to do so.
