6 Sales and Operations Planning Workshop Executive Education series Understanding the components of the S&OP process is one thing, but actually conducting the five-step S&OP process is another. Our one-day S&OP workshop fills this gap by providing participants an opportunity to perform a simulated S&OP process from beginning to end. Based on a company case study, participants use Excel spreadsheets and graphs to conduct the five-step S&OP process in make-to-stock and make-to-order environments. The focus is on S&OP teams who are responsible for defining product families, developing the demand and supply plans, and problem solving. Bolstorff joined APICS as the executive director for the then newly merged APICS Supply Chain Council. Prior to joining APICS, Bolstorff was the founding principal of SCE Limited, a consulting firm focused on providing supply chain program management and SCOR-based education to supply chain executives and their global teams. Bolstorff has also held supply chain and operations management leadership roles at Pragmatek Consulting Group, Imation and 3M, and has been a lifelong volunteer within the SCOR community. He received his master s degree in industrial education from the University of Minnesota and his bachelor s degree in mathematics, education and psychology from St. Olaf College.
