4 4 ACADEMY OF PROJECT ENGINEERING CERTIFIED - CPeP COURSE ABOUT & OBJECTIVES The objectives of the 1MALAYSIAGRIP programme, implemented by the Government are: To provide opportunities to employees by increasing their skill levels thru training participation in their specific fields thus developing to be experts that would enhance their career development and earn higher income; To provide employers with high skilled workforce that will enable them to explore business opportunities in a higher valued chain that s related to Knowledge-Intensive activities that are knowledge based, high-tech and high value-added products/activities in order to be continuously competitive in the global market; To increase the skilled labour supply in the strategic and high impact areas that was identified to reduce country s dependency on external expertise and support the Government s aspiration to achieve developed nation status by the year Malaysia Globally Recognised Industry & Professional Certification programs or better known as 1MALAYSIAGRIP is one of the programs under The Third Strategy of Budget 2015: Empowering Human Capital & Entrepreneurship, implemented by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (HRDF). PROCEDURE FOR ENROLMENT This program offered under 1MalaysiaGRIP is opened for both HRDF registered employers and non HRDF registered employers. As for the moment the budget allocation for non HRDF registered employers under 1MalaysiaGRIP is finished and HRDF is awaiting additional fund allocation from the government. Non HRDF registered employers can us interest for attending this course and we will inform respective companies once we receive the nod from HRDF on additional budget allocation from government. As of current, HRDF registered companies whom are paying the monthly levi to HRDF can apply for this program. The approved training will be deducted from registered employer 1MalaysiaGRIP account contribution. Effective June 2015 all registered employers who are paying levy to HRDF will have their levy contribution; divided into 2 accounts. 70% of the contribution goes to normal account and 30% of the contribution goes to the 1MalaysiaGRIP account. Employers can send their staffs for any 1MalaysiaGRIP training programmes and the training fees will be deducted by HRDF from the employers 1Malaysia GRIP account (30% contribution). Prospective participants are required check with their Human Resources Department to obtain the endorsement from their respective employers to validate their employment status & and check to see if the funds in their 1MalaysiaGRIP account is sufficient. The application form needs to be endorsed at least by the participant s immediate supervisor (at least one level up). Submission of applications must be made through IPEC Project Systems Sdn Bhd using form PSMB/ GRIP/1/15 with supporting documents as follows: 1 Photocopy of Applicants MyKad (Front and back on one page) 2 Photocopy of Applicants latest salary slip. (all the RM figures may be blanked out) 3 Letter from Employer (You may use this as a reference: Sample Employer Letter to HRDF for approval) 4 Filled up form of PSMB/GRIP/1/15 Upon application IPEC Project Systems Sdn Bhd will submit the completed forms and documentation thru HRDF application process. The participants will be notified of acceptance into this training programme via official letter & training confirmation. Withdrawal or replacement of trainees is not allowed by PSMB after enrolment unless there is valid medical emergency during the specified training date. Acceptance of applicant for this 1MalaysiaGRIP programme is solely pending HRDF s approval.
