3 1. Acceptance of the transmission link Acceptance testing of the transmission link must be carried out in accordance with the measurement setup stipulated for that particular Category/Class. The requirements of the Standard selected for the installation must be met. Acceptance testing must be carried out with measuring equipment approved by Datwyler for the purpose. Test results from transmission link measurements which fail to conform to the measurement setups stipulated will be invalid. Test results from test equipment not included in the list of approved equipment will be invalid. 2. Calibration of measuring equipment / measuring adapters Test equipment must be routinely calibrated by the manufacturer s test laboratory. The previous calibration should have been carried out no longer than 15 months before (the date of acceptance testing). The measuring adapters used must not have exceeded the permissible number of insertion/withdrawal cycles (as specified by the manufacturer). 3. Measurement / measured values The measured values must be measured and submitted at the standard-compliant setting. The measured values submitted for transmission link testing must conform to the limit values stipulated in the Standard. If supported by the measuring equipment, the measurement data should be stored with graphs of the measured values. The measurement data must be submitted in electronic form. The measurement data may be uploaded to the Datwyler Sharefile system. The regional upload link for the Datwyler Sharefile system is given in Appendix A3. 3/8
