15 Technical Workin Groups and their Charters T E C H N I C A L C O M I T T E E Architecture Security Manaeability Communications Software Infrastructure Testbeds The Technical Committee oversees and coordinates all the technical work in the Consortium The Architecture Work Group assesses use cases, collects requirements, and defines architectures The Security Work Group manaes technoloy of security, privacy, protection and authentication The Manaeability Work Group is responsible for manaement, orchestration, and confiuration The Communications Work Group defines communications inside of, and between fo nodes The Software Infrastructure Work Group manaes prorammin models, middleware, APIs, SDKs The Testbed Work Group defines how Open will be tested to insure interoperability and compliance
16 Conclusions Computin can reatly improve the performance and efficiency of IoT, and brin value to customer networks In critical IoT applications, performin compute, networkin and storae exclusively in the cloud or smart devices often won t work pillar attributes, like security, scalability, openness, autonomy, manaeability, aility, hierarchical approach and prorammability are keys to successful IoT network deployment The Open Consortium has charted a path for interoperable, open fo deployments.
