Course Overview Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal and External Environment Our City & Guilds Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal and External Environment course enables delegates to experience both practical and theoretical skills. The course looks at basic installation practices, fibre optic connectorisation, splicing fibre, external enclosures and test requirements. Delegates will be able to apply the skills gained to real life situations involving cabling systems. The course focuses on the components, equipment and working practices that are used for premise cabling and fibre optic cabling deployed in an external telco environment. Course Information Our City & Guilds ( : 102/103) Fibre Optic Cabling course offers a relevant and modern accreditation meeting the latest industry standards. All candidates are trained and assessed via installation simulated exercises. Delegates will be asked to: + Carry out fibre optic cable dressing into a closure procedure + Test fibre optic installation using the OTDR + Interpret OTDR test results and complete client documentation BECOME A QUALIFED FIBRE INSTALLER ACHIEVE MORE WITH CITY & GUILDS All candidates are assessed via two separate examinations, compromising of 50 multiple choice questions this is a closed book examination and is carried out using the computer based City and Guilds Gola system.
