2 A compact remote IO system from Crevis FnIO is a flexible IO system which meets most requirements of remote IO solutions for different types of field buses. You can choose between the freely expandable FnIO S series or the cost-effective compact modules from the FnIO A series. The FnIO S series The FnIO S series is a micro modular remote IO-system from Crevis, which contains a wide selection of digital and analogue modules as well as special modules. Together with a selected bus/ node module, the system is easily combined to make standalone IO-nodes. The IO-system, which has an IP20 enclosure, is installed on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. Stable communication between the modules in the node is guaranteed via a unique sliding contact system. A standard IO module is only 12 mm in width, and when using 16 channel IO modules a complete node is made up of 64 IOs of only 90 mm in width. The FnIO S series supports known bus systems such as Profibus DP/V1, CC-Link, CANopen, Modbus-TCP, Modbus-RS232 and Modbus-RS channel IO-modules are equipped with a 20-pin contact and are connected via ready adapted cables, which are supplied in various lengths. IO-modules with two, four or eight channels are equipped with removable terminal blocks (RTB) with cage clamp connection terminals which facilitate installation and maintenance. 3 The FnIO A series Profibus-DP The FnIO A series The FnIO A series consists of cost-effective, compact IP20-enclosed IO nodes where bus nodes, voltage supply and up to 32 IOs can be combined in the same enclosure. The IO units are connected via removable terminal blocks (RTB) with cage clamp connection terminals, and a node in the FnIO A series can, if necessary, be expanded with up to four IO modules from the S series.
