3 NSTL/ALLION Labs Linux Certify Test Report for G370IF10 Motherboard I. INTRODUCTION NSTL/Allion Labs is exclusively authorized by National Software Testing Laboratories (NSTL) to conduct testing business in APAC. NSTL is a leading independent microcomputer testing organization, located in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, USA. It offers a full range of software and hardware testing services to private clients on an independent, contract basis. NSTL aids clients in identifying the product strengths and weaknesses by using the most comprehensive, methodical and widely recognized testing procedures to evaluate PC software and hardware. II. TEST SUMMARY ITOX submitted the G370IF10 Motherboard for NSTL/ALLION Labs LINUX Certify Test Program. The test includes the NSTL/ALLION Labs Linux Functionality Test Program, which includes the Interoperability Test. Please refer to the section TEST RESULTS for more information. For further information of initial stage and final stage hardware/software configuration during the testing procedure, please refer to the SYSTEM CONFIGURATION" section. III. COMPATIBILITY RESULTS National Software Testing Laboratories Asia Pacific (NSTL/ALLION Labs) has completed its Linux Certify Test Program on the G370IF10 Motherboard of ITOX The s are only valid on the configuration listed in the section SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. The following table shows the final stage test results of the G370IF10 Motherboard of ITOX Final Stage Testing Result Fatal Problem Serious Problem Medium Problem Minor Problem For Your Information Total Problem Numbers of Closed Problem Numbers of Open Problem
4 IV. TEST DESCRIPTION The 90s decade is the age of Workgroup Computing, and the NSTL s Linux tests investigate the inevitable bugs that complicate the task of information pooling and sharing. Five kinds of the Linux operating systems are installed and tested, including RedHat Linux 6.1, Turbo Linux, SuSe Linux, Slackware and Caldera Open Linux. Each testing environment is constructed with most popular X86 platforms and add-on hardware devices. NSTL/ALLION Linux Testing Lab owns the most modern operating system and hardware facilities in the world. With comprehensive networking stress tests and most of latest and popular hardware, networking and software products devoted to Linux testing, the Lab is well-equipped to insure that your products are ready for prime time. The ever-changing collection of tests and state-of-the-art hardware and software is constantly being fine-tuned to flag bugs, failures and questionable features before they can become problems. All tested products must through a rigorous battery of compatibility and interoperability tests before being certified by this program. NSTL/ALLION Linux Lab s Linux Certification Program was designed to determined compatibility and interoperability in the following areas: Linux Operation System Installation Test Verify the interoperability between tested system and add-on hardware devices during operating system installation. Basic Functionality Test Verify the basic function of the operating system can work well, like storage device, keyboard, mouse, serial / parallel ports and file system. Network Stress Test In addition to the basic function Linux provides, tested system will be installed as a component of web server based on different hardware & add-on device configuration. With regard to be a web server, the configuration structure will be briefly described as follows: At least 6 Windows NT clients will be connected to web server. ZDnet WebBench Test Kit will be installed and executed on both server and workstation sites for over 8 hours. 2
