1 FT1R / FT1R-J Multi-Media Cable APPLICATIONS The FT1R / FT1R-J multi-media Cable consists of two (2) RG6 quad shield coax cables and two (2) CAT5e twisted pair cables. Installers can choose between speedwrapped or jacketed cable. The multi-media cable is used to distribute signals from the distribution panel to the rooms. 11 Multi-Media Wall Outlets One of the key components of a Home Network System is the Multi-Media Wall Outlets. These wall outlets serve as access points for each zone to connect with the Home Network Panel. FutureSmart offers a single gang wall outlet with 1, 2, 3, 4 or 6 ports. The wall outlet shown below is a 6 port. These jacks can be configured to fit the end-users needs. The Multi-Media Wall Outlet provides access to electronic information where it is needed. Having access to RG6, CAT5e and optional fiber optic outlets in each room allows easy modification or upgrades without drastically changing the network structure. Anywhere there is a Multi-Media wall outlet; there is access to the telephone, computer network, fax, modem, and audio/video. The user has television reception of all available channels, including modulated channels like CCTV and SATV. Each Multi-Media wall outlet is connected to the distribution panel through the SpeedWrap Cable.
