3 Colour Obsolescence Schneider Electric continue to review products available to the market and thus, the low volume coloured products from all ranges will be withdrawn from sale. The low volume coloured products commercialisation period will officially end on the 1st of October 201. Customers will be unable to return product based on our returns policy. Made to Order products will continue to be available until the end of October 201 Obsolescence is one of our key processes to remove low volume products from the market. 4 Clipsal Iconic range of switches and sockets have changed the game. We are now pleased to introduce new products to the offer. The colour variants for the Gang USB charging Station and Night walk sensor light skin, as well as IP44 rated switches in 1 to 4 gang (available in white (VW) only). IP rated switches which are ideal for those wet areas in bathrooms etc. allowing them to match the rest of the Iconic products throughout the home. Sometimes switches are mounted outside of the wet area or even outside the room which can be very inconvenient for the user. These new IP rated switches allow the product to be mounted within those restricted zones for convenient switching. The colour variant Gang USB charger and Night walk complete the range providing options for any decor. The Gang USB charger provides optimised charging with x2.1a ports and is the fastest USB Charger to install on the market. The night walk skin is a simple plug in motion activated night light providing safety at night with a soft warm white glow. A great up-sell opportunity and unique point of difference. IP Rated Switches Standard with 250V, 10AX mechanisms in a vertical arrangement, these can be rotated for horizontal mount. Simply unlocking the locking bar and rotating the mechanism and locking again changes the mechanism to horizontal and then a simple rotation of the rocker in the skin to align. Changing the mechanism to a 40MD20 double pole is also possible for those applications that require double pole switching. These products use unique grids and skins and cannot be interchanged with the standard Iconic switches. The grids contain a seal on the back to seal between the grid and the mounting surface, and also a membrane on the front of the grid to prevent water entering the mechanisms. The skin is new and creates a seal around the outer edge when installed. A unique rocker is used for operating the switches. Will other colours be available in the future? Our Engineers are working on the other colour variants and we expect them to be available in the near future. (Date not available at this stage) 2. Are pictograms available for the IP rated switches? Pictograms are available for the IP rated rockers but not as standard. These can be order using the Custom Products process (Specials). Are LED's suitable for use in the IP rated switches? Unfortunately, due to the membrane on the grid the LED's are not bright enough to penetrate. 4. What mechanisms are suitable for use in the IP rated switches? The following are suitable: 40M, 40USM, 40MIL (without LED), and 40MD20 Gang USB charger and Night walk sensor light skin 1. The Iconic heros were launched in March 201, what is covered in this launch? These products were launched in March in Vivid White only. They are now available in all Iconic Colours (VW, CY, WY, AN) 2. How does a customer order an Anthracite Gang USB charger? The customer needs to order the 04HSUSB-VW(station +VW skin) and the 04HS-AN anthracite skin.. If in night like mode, how do you turn the Night Walk off if you go away on holiday? 7 The Acti 9 ict+ high-performance contactors can prevent nuisance tripping of MCBs due to inrush and allows more lighting per circuit to be installed. A: up to 200 x normal current for 1ms Q2: How does the ict+ high performance contactor reduce inrush current? A: The technology detects the 'zero voltage crossing' and then closes the circuit. As a result the inrush current is virtually eliminated as the the closing of the circuit only occurs when the voltage is zero. Q: Are the ict+ contactors available for phase applications? A: Unfortunately no. It is only available for single phase applications but this covers the majority of target applications. Q4: How many versions are available? A: There are three versions available. 1) without local manual override, 2) with local manual override, ) and one version that is controlled via pulse signal, with local manual override. Q5: Why is no derating required for different types of luminaries? A: Derating is typically required to compensate for inrush current.
