It operates mechanical tests including single segment tension, compression and torsion test applications

2 P Series TouchPad Test Controller Mechanical Testing Applications The P Series TouchPad Test Controller is a simple and accurate controller which performs mechanical tests on materials, products and components. It controls the complete testing process for Electromechanical Test Machines. The P Series Controller is a lower cost, easier to use option than PC based materials testing machines. With little operator training needed, it runs tension tests, compression tests and torsion tests. The P Controller acquires load, crosshead position and optional axial strain input channels. It features high speed closed loop servocontrol technology, ensuring high test data accuracy suitable for all international tests standards including ASTM, ISO, ANSI, DIN and EN. Features During the test, controller displays load, position and optional axial strain data and test rate. Display measures mechanical properties at test completion. Calculates and displays key mechanical properties at test conclusion. Includes ultimate strength, percent elongation and more. Calculations meet ASTM and ISO test standards. Uploads results and test data via XY Software Suite to a Windows PC for reviewing and reporting. Specifies high and low limits for each mechanical property. Indicates pass / fail Security control with two password levels supervisor / operator modes. English, Metric or SI units Calibrates load and axial strain channels per ASTM standards. 3 Each P Controller includes one analog load channel and one digital encoder crosshead position channel. An optional single axial strain channel is available for use with contacting (wheatstone or encoder) extensometers or non-contacting (high level analog) extensometers. The load and strain channels feature five calibration tables to handle multiple load cells or extensometers. Each channel includes automatic transducer recognition. The controller steps users through new test input, and little operator training is required. Repetitive tests are stored for easy recall.
