3 Important notice! All work on open device should be carried out by trained personnel only. On reconnecting the power supply, the relevant safety precautions should be observed! The power should be disconnected. Failure to observe these points can lead to accident or death! Installation and operating instructions: For installation in the GVD-860 mast assembly adapter (PWB- 860), the casing lid should be removed. The assembly of unit should take place on a stable surface. Should assembly take place on an uneven surface, tensions will be produced in the casing, which can lead to the casing lid not being able to close properly! In order to avoid over-heating, places of assembly exposed to direct sunlight should be avoided. For the quick and easy connection of the signal and low-voltage cables, screwless terminals are used with this unit. This requires the corresponding tool (see image below). 4 1 Application and technical features The PSU-24VAC/80VA/BOXED junction box serves the universal connection between the 24V AC operated cameras and the domes. Service-friendly structure: LED for indication of operation voltage. BNC test socket for connecting a monitor for on-site setting (in particular of the optional twisted pair transmitter). Optional: easily installable compact twisted pair transmission module with DC voltage supply if needed. Optional: easily installable miniature fibre optic transceiver with DC voltage supply when needed. Output voltage 24V AC (optionally approx 12V DC, max. 1A, unstabilised for optional fibre optic/twisted pair transmitter). Connection plan stuck on inside of casing lid 2 Connections in detail 2.1 Overview of low-voltage/signal connections The terminal blocks KL4/KL5, KL6/KL7, KL9/KL10 as well as both the terminal locations for KL3 are each connected 1:1 (see circuit diagram). 6 3 Instructions for operating and connection 3.1 Operation with twisted pair transmittor An optional twisted-pair transmitter is connected to the BNC test socket via a BNC gusset. When closing the casing lid be sure not to catch any cables in it! The optional 12V module (AK4 Option 12V, Art. No ) is responsible for power supply. To install this module, it is plugged into the 3-pin female cable connector of the AK40 base plate and fixed to the corresponding thread bolts using 3(2) screws (M3x6). The 2-pin connecting cable is connected to the 12V DC screw terminals and earth of the twisted pair transmitter. The symmetrical signal output of the twisted pair transmitter is connected directly to the outbound communication cable. If a twisted-pair module is installed, then the presence and correct polarity of its operation voltage should be checked. In many cases, a careful examination of the circuit diagram also reveals any connection faults... Note: With complaints, precise details regarding manufacturer and model of the components connected to the junction box should be given! 4 Technical alterations reserved
